Can a cheerleader practice to much? I read a lot of mountain biking and fitness magazines and in the fitness section they always talk about taking days off to let your muscles repair themselves. With that said, not truly understanding what cheer does to your body, can a cheerleader practice to much?
If you do anything too much it is bad for you. If you are really sore or something you should usuallytake at least one day a week. I dont think this is the problem around our area. I think we would be fine practicing five days a week. Most teams around here practice only 2-3.
yes you can practice too much. Cheerleaders especially do it too much! Usually it takes me a day or two to recover if im sore well i pratice 4 days a week and practices are only a day apart so i just beocme more sore and have to push myself harder to do everything. I have injured my ankle probaly more than 10 times in the past 2 seasons. Ive torn ligements and bruised the bone and broke it twice. I never have let it heal fully. I know when its realy bad as the pain is terrible but the only way for my ankle to ever completly heal is to either break it and wear a cast for 3 months and stay off of it for another 4 or hjave surgry and that could be a year recovery and they said it would be harder for me to get tumbling back bc it will still be weak. I decided to not have surgry or rebreak it on purpose. Im just going to deal through the pain. I practice on it way too much where i could burst into tears but in the end its all worth the pain when you recive a national champion jacket. I forget about the pain and all teh times i came home iceing it and crying. Allstars is worth the pain and you can over practice but most of us are to stuborn to admit that we are tierd. One thing of advice LET YOU INJURIES HEAL COMPLETLY!!!!
