We have almost 100 trophies sitting upstairs ready to find a new home. That's right, head upstairs into the first gym and check out the trophies. Feel free if you find one you like, to bring it home. Just please do not put it into a cubbie and forget it.
My husband used to have a bunch of old trophies and a friend of ours told him he could donate them to the Special Olympics program. They reuse them by removing the metal plate and replacing with a new one.
If there are any left, you might want to consider this option.
(I don't have a # to call as we donated his trophies years ago, but you could probably find a number on Google)
