UHM SKIRTS Everyone has different body types and skirts can look good on everyone as opposed too shorts, which aren't even shorts there like short spankies (the kinds cheer uniforms aquire) they look really good on little 10 year olds with skinny legs, no hips or butt just sayin :) I've witnessed some definete NO NOs when it comes to young girls in shorts it looks bad!!!

I think it depends on the cut and color of the shorts. White is bad for too many reasons to count. Black is preferable. I remember when Bladez went to shorts and it was HUGE. Now so many teams have them. Watch fit at the leg and and hips you do not want muscular girls to look fat.

shorts squeeze and create muffin tops. While they may be more comfy to compete in, they are not that flattering. I also feel like all the shorts that teams are wearing have the same design with the triangles on them and i feel like that creates an image of the girls thighs looking large.

i think that skirts are a lot more complimenting to a persons body because short do not look verry good on come people but all bodies are different. shorts can look good for the right but but i think that skirts are more comfortable because you dont get such big wedgies:) but shorts ARE more earodynamic but personally i think that skirts are more complimenting;)

I think too many of the shorts look like the girls are cheering in their underwear. Too much is hanging out it is not flattering for most. I can not imagine that the majority of girls are comfortable with their body in this. It is not a swimsuit where you are just lying on the beach they are doing a sport. I have noticed quite a few shorts that finished the routine rolled up on the thighs. No flattering.

Shorts are cute on only the very fit looking girls. Skirts hide a multitude of flaws and look good on most body types.

Good question Nelson, All Star One from Jersey wears a long top in front and the bottom back is open and they wear the shorts....super cute~

It's hard for me to get away from the look of a skirt, I like skirts. Maybe it's time for me to change...

I agree, I think the shorts look good on some people and not everyone. I also think that whatever we go with, shorts or skirts, there will be issues either pulling skirts down after tumbling or pulling shorts out of certain areas after tumbling. Either way there is an issue with "pulling" or "tugging"!!!

yes! i love their uniform. it different without being all crazy. and the cut is so cute.

i feel shorts are okay, however they have to be the right cut and size. girls have to be very careful with the size they order because shorts that are too tight can make a "muffin outta nothin."

Shorts are awesome to compete in !!!! They aren't flying up all the time. People think it's weird to wear shorts, but it just like practice.

Shorts are really cute unless they're too short. Then they just look like you're cheering in your spankies. I think with a full top they'd be really cute!

i think shorts woulds be probably alot comfortable...but skirts are more..."cheerleading"...cheerleaders are always known for skirts...but it all depends on how it looks on the person or as a team...but ya too short, shorts do look a little like spanks...but a very good question...i like top guns shorts with their tops and i especially love the socks its different and i like it:)

I think it depends on the company who makes them. Some look very flattering and comfortable, while others just aren't attractive at all. I love the GK shorts. They seem to look the best. Supercells shorts looked great on the floor!!!

I think you're right. I thought OC's shorts at Worlds were cute and I also like Power's Shorts.
