RE: Need Answers

fools...CALM DOWN! instead of bickering and playing "mine is bigger than yours" we should be pumping each other up so that california gets the representation it deserves thruoghout the cheer community not just worlds. sometime in the near future i would like to hear cafornia's name up there with all the southern states. we can do it, ALL of us! so stop wasting your time getting all butt-hurt and deffensive and go work on tumbling skills! i wish no-one luck, i simply hope for no injuries in the quest to become the best! (cheesy!)

I agree...I think this is what is hoolding back California....the separation and constant battle of whos better! If we just worked together to be the best as a whole, california could easily be one of the best cheerleading states along with texas, florida, kentuky, etc..

Thank you for the sane posts... Some just get way too offended and then bring everyone down. Here I am wishing everyone luck and there's always one fool to ruin it for everyone. But hey, it gave me a good giggle this morning. So I guess it was worth it.

As always, best wishes to everyone here in Cali and if we see you guys in Worlds, we will be cheering you all on.

Wow, your gonna say stingrays was outdated. I have been living and doing cheerleading in california for almost 10 years now and I think its the opposite. To be honest I think Florida is the best at choreography. Granted Eric little does choreograph many dances for teams such as cheerathletics, georgia, stingrays, and miami elite, but 90% of the routines come from their coaches. I have talked to many of their c oaches. I have never been to a nor cal competition and seen anyting close to stingray all stars. I mean their dance was fun , very flashy and cute. And their jump sequence, which is lacking in nor. cal as well. Pike back tucks, and that toe touch going back to bridges. Very innovative. To be honest World cup and maryland twisters have amazing choreography, in addition to florida teams which include top gun, miami, legend, and step ahead. California used to be the leader in innovative transitions and fun up beat dances. I feel we are behind in almost every area now. We do have our strengths though:

1. Sharp routines
2. Consistent routines
3. Stunting is clear and precise

California is getting stronger with the addition of so many gyms, and many coaches moving from the east coast and providing that edge the east coast has. I think many teams on the east coast, need to learn how to perform a little bit stronger. I would also like to see some more risk in uniforms and choreography from california teams. Its good to be clean, but give it to the crowd when you perform.

Oh ya, this is not meant to start anything, but So. cal teams used to kick nor. cal every year until just recent year. Champion outlaws, mavericks, and a few others were the last word. Teams up here were always worried when they were in a division.

Last thing I want to say, choroegraphy is not just limited to your dance section. Again stingrays had great choreography in their pyramid and stunt section. I mean to see how well their spacing and stunts are down to the count. Just amazing to say the least.
