Hey Shawn- didn't Stealth beat CA Camarillos youth 1 at Universal? And I thought youth 1 was like 6th at Spirit Sports... I'm sure your "success" record is still awesome, but not quite undefeated.

He was talking about last year thanks. and i think you all are beinf rediculous any negitive thing you can bring out over a CA statement you jump on. Tannaz hasnt mentioned one thing about a new gym to any of the kids yet so all of your speculating needs to stop. you have no idea the true reason why murrieta or riverside may be choosen for their next location so stop pretending like everything they do is to hurt another program. It may very well be because Jeff lives by there and complains time and time again about how he needs a new gym by him with less tams in it so he and his teams can concentrate better. Murrieta would be a great location because it makes a shorter drive for alot of the kids that are coming from that area or the riverside area already and it is still close enough for Tannaz and the other coaches to step in quit often. Please stop making up your own reasons as to why CA does what they do until at least next year when something acctually happens.

He said "and all teams are undefeated so far this year".  Which isn't true as stated above and I believe Jr. Coed was beat by CEA in Dallas.    Just keeping is honest, still a very very good record though.

While they haven't won everything their record does speak for itself.

71 first place finishes

10 seconds

1 third

2 fourths and

1 seventh place finish this season. Who else in California can even compare?

And i believe someone had previously mentioned that winning wasn't everything and not everyone wants to be a California Allstar. I respect that however I am confused as to why people would pick at results at all let alone with specific teams then regardless of what Shawn may have said? Oh well and to each his own.

So using your logic, McDonald's can't open a new location in Murrieta because it would pull from Carl's Jr.  You people need to stop worrying about everyone else and focus on your own programs.  Any program that is keeping its people happy will not have an issue.  If existing programs and not catering to their customers then the customer will have a choice.  I think that is the concept of American Capitalism is based on.  PCM and Intensity do not have a corner on the market.  For that matter, neither does CA.  All of us as parents have a choice where to put our kids.  Personally, the more choices I have the better.  I get to choose where my money goes and if I am not happy then I can move on down the road.

Really people.  How about we let the gym owners worry about business and we worry about getting our kids to practice on time.

Riverside has needed a competitive all-star gym for years. The little ones just seem to fall away. Prodigy has had a great start and I wish them the very best! I wish PCM would jump on in and open one in Riverside. There is a HUGE market to tap out here. It boggles my mind that a little city like Murrieta can have two successful gyms and a huge pop warner market and there is just so little to choose from here in Riverside. While it would hurt just a little to have to pass a CA gym to get to Murrieta, I love my PCM family!

Yes I agree, Riverside / Moreno Valley needs a good all-star gym, the market is definitely there! There isn't much around and I know many people drive at least 30-40 minutes to cheer

i think it would also be a smart move for someone to go over to the Antelope Valley like palmdale where Supreme used to be because there is nothing out there & ive seen talent come from that area!

I don't think McDonalds vs Carls Jr is a good comparison.  As a customer you can go to both.  In cheer you have to choose one.

If a town only had a certain number of people in the town who could work the Carls Jr to keep it open, then yes they wouldn't want McDonalds coming in and taking those same people.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, fast food doesn't require a commitment from the customer.  If that makes sense.

Yes, I understand your point.  From a literal sense, I understand what you are saying.  I am in no way saying that fast food and cheer is the same.  I am saying, as a customer, I have a right to choose and I don't really care how many gyms open up in any given area.  I think that some people on this site are very threatened by the idea that CA may open up in Riverside, Temecula, or wherever it is they are looking.

If you are happy at your gym....good for you.  Stay there and enjoy all of the great things cheer has to offer your kids and you.  If you are not, move on to someplace that does.  And lastly, don't give anyone any grief for chosing to go someplace else.  Not all gyms are for everyone.

There is no reason anyone should fear or hate on CA for expanding their business.  Like them or not, they are a powerhouse in the cheer world.  I understand why little gyms worry about them, but that is how the cookie crumbles.  Keep your customers happy and you have nothing to worry about.

The only point I am trying to make is that I find it crazy that many people on this site think that the owner of CA has some master plan to take over and cause harm to other gyms.  I hardly think anyone has that much time or negative energy to accomplish that.  If people chose to leave a gym to go to CA, then maybe that gym owner should take a good look in the mirror.

I shortened the above just to save space, but in the end this is so true.  It's just scary for some because even in good times you never know what's going to happen and I think everyone tries to do their best to stay a float.  I can't imagine being a gym owner and always trying to reinvent yourself to keep your customers happy.  All these gyms are great gyms and we all need them to stick around so that when go to comps there is someone to compete against.

This is so true. I have family in that area and there are alot of cheerleaders with no where to cheer.

I guess anyone has the right to open a gym where he or she pleases. What are their intentions for opening up a gym in a certain location?? We all have our opinions....I certainly do.   Let me just say that I think CA allstars is  a very strong program with a lot of talent. They have certainly made a name for themselves in the cheerworld and to me that is very respectable.  The problem I have lies with certain people who come on this site and brag about first place finishes and jackets and so on and so on and so on. We all know you are amazing. Why do you feel so threatened as to come on here and waste all your time with statistics that most of us don't care about. If those numbers reassure you and helps you sleep better at night  then I guess we can keep a tally on how many first places your gym recieves!! I personally would respect CA more if there was a little more humility involved. The sad part is most people from that gym are probably very humble....just takes a couple to spoil the whole bunch.

I love the paranoia on these boards! It is better then watching a soap opera. Me and my popcorn have been getting a workout from the nonsense!
