Just curious'''where did u see the info for the new Ca gym????

They posted the tryout info for the different gyms on the ca facebook, and it says "riverside coming soon" so i asked a friend and they said there will be a gym in riverside next season smile

its not on their site!

They have a one liner on their facebook page that gives the general area and says "coming soon."  Hope it doesn't shake things up to much.  Love me some Cali but man I wish the start of our seasons were a wee bit more predictable.  I like surpises and all changes aren't necessarily bad changes but sheesh! LOL

I actually heard they were opening up in a area where there was already a estalished gym. Not necessarily Rivereside as in the city, but Riverside as in the county. We will see. The only time I think it shakes things up is when it is done purposly to drive out another gym. Hopefully its not the case, since Cali does like to open in establised programs and not start one from scratch.

Looks like that may be the case again. If they open in murietta intensity all stars is already established there.

Wow  Sounds like there's already great, great choices in that area besides Intensity isn't PCM there also?  My hope is that if this is true, one team's sucess doesn't come at the expense of another.

Cali's Facebook page says they are working on a location for either 2011 or 2012.

Yes both Intensity and PCM are in Murietta and that would be really unfortunate for them if Cali opens a gym in that area

I just found out about this rumor that CALI is trying to start and think it is just silly. If its 2011 or 2012 season why haven't they found a place to start the next season?  And why are they stating it now if they haven't found a new location??---to get athletes from the Riverside county area to commute to San Marcos this upcoming season and pull them into commuting to San Marcos then maybe someday have another location in the Riverside County area.

It would not be a smart move for them to go into a town with 2 existing cheer gyms.  It is obvious that if they make this business move that they are trying to pull from these two gyms; instead of building from the ground up.  PCM is way to tight and strong of a program to sway and Intensity seems to be able to hold there own.  I do not see this being a threat to either program.

If this is true here are my thoughts:  they are just advertising to try and get more kids to San Marcos before this years tryout dates.  Secondly, this sport is about building athletes; not recruiting others. Third, if they do attempt this then they may have 2-3 teams and any kid that has level 4 or 5 skills will still be asked to commute to San Marcos, Camarillo or San Diego.  It is sad to me that a program of this large feels the need to go into an area just to take from other programs.  But then again, 2 years ago they tried the same thing in Camarillo to Cheerforce and that was not successful.  This sport is about being competitive on the cheer floor, but if this is the case to move into this established area....IT IS JUST DIRTY BUSINESS.  And many people their business style.  The bottom line is: Not everyone wants to be a California Allstar and we all just need to not pay attention to rumors.  With that being said I hope they make smart business moves for the sake of their reputation.

If this is true I would lose all respect for that program. There is nothing wrong with expanding your business, but to lead kids to your gym under the guise that maybe they would be opening up a gym in the area and not have any definite or concrete plans, is just a little pathetic and obvious. I really hope they do make honest and integral business decisions, because the program would definitely experience some backlash, especially if they didn't make good on their promises.

So them mentioning that they may want a new location a year from now is wrong? I guess I don't see it like you may see it.

Well I am sorry you feel that way.. but to say Camarillo isn't successful is a lie. Last year that location had a 96% win ratio with only one team getting second place the whole year.. this year a Small jr coed team with 15 double fulls and an international all girl team that was the first team in California to win an NCA jacket and all the teams are undefeated so far this year... Also JR coed won grand champs over a bunch of senior teams last comp.. so I don't see where you have room to talk about them...

I dont see that them mentioning a new location is wrong, but I do see that coming into an area that is established and pulling from other gyms for their own gratification is. Come on, the Temecula Murrieta area isnt that populated enough and it just sounds like dirty business. Hopefully they will make the right decision because I might look at them differently. :(

IMO... I dont think they are saying Camarillo isnt successful in winning. I think they are saying they were not successfull in taking over Cheerforce's athletes or company. A gym that is JUST winning isnt necessarily successful. I think there is more to this cheer world than a first place trophy.

This is not to say that CA has a very successful program. But I understand what lol 123 is saying, I do have a problem with them saying they are going to have a gym in the next year or TWO in that area because it is not a concrete plan. It is not like they have a building or any time frame. The general area and very unspecific time frame was just thrown out there. If you say "Coming soon" soon eludes to in the NEAR future not two years from now. It just seems very suspicious to me being Try-outs are coming up. Some may say it is a good business tactic to pull kids from this area to an outside area when they have 2 great established gyms in their backyard right now, in hopes for a CA gym in MAYBE a FEW years. Just doesn't sit right with me. I agree with LOL 123, 2 Cheer 4 Life, and Raesmomma, I hope they make the right decision, because it is playing a little dirty.

Hey Shawn- didn't Stealth beat CA Camarillos youth 1 at Universal? And I thought youth 1 was like 6th at Spirit Sports... I'm sure your "success" record is still awesome, but not quite undefeated.

He was talking about last year thanks. and i think you all are beinf rediculous any negitive thing you can bring out over a CA statement you jump on. Tannaz hasnt mentioned one thing about a new gym to any of the kids yet so all of your speculating needs to stop. you have no idea the true reason why murrieta or riverside may be choosen for their next location so stop pretending like everything they do is to hurt another program. It may very well be because Jeff lives by there and complains time and time again about how he needs a new gym by him with less tams in it so he and his teams can concentrate better. Murrieta would be a great location because it makes a shorter drive for alot of the kids that are coming from that area or the riverside area already and it is still close enough for Tannaz and the other coaches to step in quit often. Please stop making up your own reasons as to why CA does what they do until at least next year when something acctually happens.

My mom and I were joking around but how big is to big? Dont get me wrong we love seeing CA at comps, but soon wont we be seeing multiple CA teams in a division? Or whats next CA East for a gym back east? I know for me I much rather have mulitple gyms to compete against not just my gym, you want to be a family not whos the best from your own gym! Once again Im not hating on CA, the are a great program I just dont hope they dont try to make them too big so there is still fun competition out there! =]

I want gold~ It's not speculation. Just because they havent announced it, dosent mean that it hasnt been stirring up. There are many links in the cheer world and many people know things that are happening before their kids & parents know. Lot's of gym owners & coaches have a lot more ties than many people think. I guess we will just have to wait and see what the outcome is.
