Wow! That's weird....I have never heard of someone being disqualified for behavior issues from the night before.
i was trying to put it as nice as i could but i dont think behavior was the right word to use, lets just say some team members were caught doing some things they shoudlnt have been doing. im sorry if this causes drama or rumors that was not the part of the post i thought ppl would pay attention to

I was a bit upset at this competition. I was pretty shocked at the level of bad sportsmanship. I saw it all from name calling, to excessive and obvious excitement when another team dropped a stunt, and of course the early celebrations during awards.. I just wonder if certain gyms are so focused on winning that sometimes they forget to teach the girls/boys how to have good sportsmanship? I just hope it doesn't get any worse because it seems like its becoming a pattern.

i was going to say the opp about sportsmanship, atleast at the awards ceremonies i saw all the kids were clapping for all the teams and almost every first place team waited until they were called to begin celebrating, the announcer even noticed it and thanked the kids however i did only see 2 of the ceremonies
Its too bad there was such a display of bad sportsmanship (excitement over dropped stunts, name calling, etc...). There is no excuse for it. But I will never understand why people have a problem with teams celebrating once they realize they have won. This is a sport, and teams have every right to be happy, and should never have to contain their excitement because it is the polite thing to do. Just another point of view. I would never think less of a team or gym for it, and I hope there are others out there who agree.
It's called having class.. it's rude to clap or scream with excitement when a stunt falls, not only because of the fact that the girls in the stunt could be hurt, but because of the fact that they are STILL PERFORMING. I heard them screaming and I was on the complete opposite side if the stage when I turned to look at them and see them jumping up and down. I think it's just a very low thing to do. Not to mention I know the music is loud, but I'm sure the performing team heard them.

Agree completely, my post was about the awards ceremony when a first place team celebrates when the 2nd place team is announced, I think its fine for the winners to be excited, they have earned it. What competitions could do if they really want to make 2nd place special is announce the top 2 teams (round of applause) and then state "the winner is...". That way they both feel special and nobody has to hold back their excitement and celebrating once they have won.
Ya I agree but at the same time I think there's a thin line between being excited and an overboard premature celebration. Of course its hard to contain you're excitement at first but you know they're about to call your name next.. at least let the second place celebrate and get their trophy before jumping up and down
