How come nobody ever talks about how rude the CA parents are?? They sit in the cheering section designated for the team performing, even when it isn't their turn, and refuse to move. Then if an event employee asks them to move they are completely rude and out of line. Wow

wow I was there all day both days and never saw any parent from any gym being rude to any of the event people. Hm I think your stew is ready. Time to stop stirring the pot.

I for one absolutely LOVE cali parents. Alot of seats were left empty in the front and because of the large venue, I didn't feel the crowds so heavy on top of each other at this event. I'm sure there were a few parents/participators/viewers, that didn't want to move out of their seats, and I'm sorry you had to run in to them, BUT also remember that one person doesn't account for a whole group. There were lots of seats, and I must confess that I sat in front for awhile, especially through the senior 5 portion of the day. =/.

On another note, did anyone hear about an accident that happened in anaheim on sunday? I just heard about it and my heart sank to my stomach. Sunday night was by far one of the WORST nights to drive ever, and I know a lot of people packed up that day. I just hope everyone got home safely ready for next season!

Newtocheer...I saw that too and more. I tried to sit in those seats, but was asked to leave by the venue employee. I did because those are the rules. But it seemed what was not OKAY for some were overlooked for others.
Also, Since you are new to the boards let me give you a piece of advice. Next time be more general. Because in my experience reading these boards. When you say anything negative about a particular gym the claws always come out.

THe highlight of the weekend for me was GOLD STAR YOUTH HIP HOP!! Those girls were GREAT and thw whole arena went crazy when they performed.

Yes I believe they had a standing ovation after their first performance. The crowd LOVED them!! People were going crazy. Such a treat to see them live smile

Very True Spectator 09... You Have To Be EXTREMELY careful in your wording on these boards.. But I have seen what newtocheer is talking about. I didn't attend this competition, but I can tell you I was in palm springs when they competed and there were several occasions where parents who's daughters were actually performing had to stand on the side because other parents of the next team to perform decided to sneak in the back row of the designated seating between teams.. just selfish in my opinion
