So, other than the 2 paid bids, who did the rest of the bids go to? And I must agree, this thread is surprisingly quiet for just completing a big bid competition. Maybe it's just the holidays and everyone is too busy with the hussle and bussle. MERRY CHRISTMAS CHEERLEADERS!!!

I thought "at large" bids could not be passed down. Is this a new rule or has it always been this way? Is this a result of the decrease in "at large" bids available this year?

People often use "passed down" to mean two different things One is allowed and one is not.
Allowed: gym is awarded an at large bid and chooses not to accept it. Next gym in line is allowed to accept.
Not Allowed: gym is awarded an at large bid and accepts it. At a later competition, gym wins paid bid. At large bid is then lost and cannot be "passed down".
I am so proud of all the girls on Power Xtreme small senior. It's almost a whole new team from last year, a few girls from limited coed from last year (the team I was on) I hate watching from the sidelines. I want to be up there with them! And they won the bid with a watered down routine!
By the way, this has nothing to do with Grand, but Power Xtreme's small limited coed is now large semi-limited coed. They have their first comp in January, I'll try to get a video if anyone wants me to? I go to all their in states :)
senior 2 cali got a bid to all level worlds. cheerforce didnot
Everyone that places 1st - 3rd gets a bid to all level's. If you look at the results it says cheerforce got a 1st place bid and ca got a 2nd place bid. I think the rank just determines how much you pay to compete
All Level Worlds was the worst competition in life, i know it was a first year comp but it was very poorly run and the results were iffy, and it took a long time to know the video results, so no need to fight over who got a bid to all levels they take any and everybody we will all have a bid by the time this competition comes around.

I agree, worst comp of the year....felt like a waste of time. It should be the best going up against the best and should be harder to get a bid.
agreed for the all levels competition. it took them forever to get the results right. they must have re-posted them about 5 times and there was still mistakes. in addition, i felt the judging wasn't excellent. it may have been a first year comp, but that only gives them leeway for a few mistakes but they had more mistakes in that one competition that others combined.

So not true. I know for a fact that not ALL teams get a bid to this competition. I also was there and I thought it to be pretty exciting. Sure, not perfect but rarely is everyone pleased with the judging results with all competitions.
It is easy to get a bid to All Levels Worlds, just place in the top 3 at any of the comps offering bids. The competition last year had so many errors it was ridiculous and unforgivable. In fact I know a few gyms who have decided not to go and will be attending the OTHER all levels competition in Vegas (the one that used to be called Final Destination, I dont know what its called now). The fact that there are two just weakens it even more, right? At least just give bids to whoever places first in each division, not the top three. Its just another money making competition and unless you are really going against the best, its only reward is the satisfaction of beating the teams you happen to be competing against. When enough people complain that there should be only one all levels comp and it should really mean something (harder to get a bid), maybe it will mean something more. Just my take on this, sorry if it sounds negative. Just telling it like it is.
