No, not starting a new gym at all and definitely no mergers involved.  Just accomodating a request from kids/families who were interested in joining the Fierce family but lived too far.  An opportunity for those kids and Fierce owners presented itself that was both beneficial and positive for all involved so theyre making a go of it.   I'm pretty sure the comp season for those kids will start late but don't quote me on that. 

I'm looking forward to a highly competitive season, seeing some old friends, some new and (as always) veteran gyms and teams, and most of all my kids and I are ready to to get the fun started!

Captaincecille - what makes you think that the Royals closed their doors? According to the NCAA website they are still and active gym. You say all these gyms are walking distance from each are you serious? Who was actually there first? Then let me ask then who was next and so on. I didn't realize that all these gyms were so close to each other. That is absolutely crazy.

To the three gyms listed: How is your gym doing these days? what teams do you have lined up for this season? Let us know your competition schedules.

Idk how close but the only gym I know is walking distance is edge and fever

All gyms in Elk Grove have a different style and probably best not to merge-not ALL Gym owners treat people the same way. This way parents and kids have a choice. The area that 3 gyms are near is not that big of deal really. Royals and UCF were neighbors for a few years.

I think all gyms are doing pretty well. Edge and Fever took off in size, about the same size as UCF.   Royal is under new management this year.  they are using the same name but different program/owner. Smart idea to use same name it really gives more credibility to a new program. i think most of the royal cheerleaders this year are new.  most of the original royal cheerleaders went to Edge, UCF or Fever when the original company closed.  this year is a building year for the new royal cheer program.   I think royal cheerleading will be okay they are small maybe only 30 kids total but that does not mean anything.  Best luck to you royals and....

Good luck to you.  I did say the majority of the cheerleaders moved on not all of them.  . I am sure in a few years you will be back on the map.  it takes time to grow a new gym. do you still have dancers? if not i know i am going to miss the dance team that royals had they always had some really crazy choreo..

Really C Fierce NO Dance?   I thought you would have known.  RDC is the NEW name of the Dance Company they are sole and separate from Royal Cheer because Royal Cheer is a new organization that took on the Royal name when the original owners retired.   They are not associated.  But the original Royal Cheer owner who started royals still owns RDC www.royaldanceco.com
They have 4 or 5 dance teams.  I am sure they will be as amazing as ever.   It is kind of funny how things get around.  LOL..

Royal allstar cheer, is just cheer, :)

And royal dance co is dance

I knew there was dance but not as a part of royal allstar cheer,

I hear EDGE is doing great!! Adding new kids all the time and working really hard this summer. I am excited to see the addition of new teams to their program. I LOVED their Sr 3 last season they were awesome and such great kids!! They are a program to watch out for!
