My youth and junior teams beat cheergyms and power on numerous occasions. A level 5 team does not make a gym. Our Senior 4 team was awesome too! Many of those athletes made up the awesome level 4 team that One had last year.

David, I take great offense to that statement. I coached at Cheer Starz for several seasons and those girls were a TERRIFIC, HARDWORKING group of girls to say that the gym experienced "way more success than cheer starz could ever dream of" is so hurtful. We loved our gym. We were successful in every way, shape and form. Just because we weren't a "mainstream" gym like Cheergyms and Power didn't mean we weren't successful! We had cheer and dance teams that placed very well! In fact my youth and junior cheer teams rarely left a competition not in 1st place. The smith family spent several years making the gym a "family-oriented" gym and I think they did a GREAT job. Please dont bash the original Cheer Starz-The ones who were under the original ownership of Amee.  My decision to leave the gym occurred after the new ownership took place MONTHS before One Athletics was formed. I wish everyone the best of luck!!

Totally agreed ! A level 5 team does not make a gym!
That level 4 team was amazing! Question..... Many were on what team previously? Keep it real and accurate please. Many were from POWER, GB and GBJG.....

David, you don't have a clue what you are taking about. The staff did not leave One because of the new owner or Bri.

Cheer Starz was an awesome gym and still is, it is just called One Athletics because Bri had a dream. It had nothing to do with Cheer Starz not doing well

It is very clear you just have a beef with the new owner don't know your facts.

It was never said the staff left because of the new owner or Bri. I don't have a "beef" with new owner either. I do know the facts, my niece cheered for ONE last season and I attended every competition.

OMG, laughing - Glad to hear my town isn't the only one with with these same problems, glad to see we are all normal after all. Oh - what is normal?

I know nothing about this current situation, but needless to say... It is completely pointless to talk about this gym, what it used to be, and what it will be. Instead, let us all support these gyms and wish them much luck in their upcoming season. Good luck to all! There are some phenomenal names up there, I'm sure all will move on to be successful in their own ways.

I am a new member of the One Athletics Staff and on behalf of everyone working there we are extremely excited for next season and are already very hard at work! 

There has been some staff changes at OA, but the reasons behind these changes are completely personal and independent of any of the great athletes at this gym.  Any successful gym goes through changes in staff and even owners...I know this from personal experience. Thus, nobody should jump to any conclusions about the direction a gym is headed before they can see for themselves the product a gym is able to produce.  So...let's wait and see what One brings to the floor this season and then maybe we can reevaluate...

Will OA be moving forward with their International Level 5 which was to begin practice in August?????

Yes we are still moving forward with the International 5 and College team. We have tryouts on August 16th.
