Everyone has opinions for why they stay or leave a gym. For some it's the coaches, the kids, to follow the talent, to get those trophies, or to have fun. For whatever reason, let it be yours. The back and forth bad mouthing needs to be left out of this merger. We will be a success and you don't have to type it on a message board to prove it. This is what is best for all the athletes in the valley and the coaches, inturn what is best for the kids is best for the parents. This should have happened a long time ago and Vegas could have been even stronger many years ago. We are all happy about this merger!!!
Best of luck to all the teams in the valley!
Let's keep this positive!
Cheerisme: some PAC coaches and the Elements owner/coaches have come together to create a powerhouse gym in Las Vegas. It will be Las Vegas eNVy. Las Vegas Elements will no longer be around, but will forever be in our hearts... LoVE Always!
My name is Daniel Duran, I don't mind people knowing who I am when I put a message up here so that you can come to the source. I was the original owner of Pride along with my wife Tenay. And I hope I can shed some light on this topic that seems to have everyones attention.
First, Becca you are right, Cristi was a huge part of our program. Please remember the other people that gave so much to be a part of your team. To help when it was needed. And the people that will still be there if you ever need them. I am not trying to take anything away from Cristi, but you have to remember the work that Tenay, Josh, Kimsey, and even Jake, put in to helping you acheive your goal the last two years.
Second. I know that this has taken every person by surprise, and that everyone is confused. Including me. Please let me set my name and my position aside and remind everyone that nothing is set in stone yet. Tenay is hard at work trying to resolve issues and keep people informed with what she can. But please give us a chance to right some wrongs and put things in place before you bash away at what we spent the last nine years building.
Finally, I hope that we tought people some important things about this sport. Like sportsmanship, desire, determination, and ambition. You all are showing some of those traits but not all. I hope you look deep within yourselves and realize that no matter how upset you are, sometimes your words push people away. Whether they believe you or not. I love you all and I am very touched by the way you support and believe in Cristi. Please remember that whether you leave and others follow, kids are always looking up to what you do and say. And I hope that you can reflect on your words long enough to consider who or what you may be hurting.
Thanks for reading,

Wow! This is so crazy in here! "Can't we all just get along"? lol! This is going to be a great season for all! Everyone just needs to focus on themselves and whats best for their kid. I myself am very happy where my child cheers at. I don't remember ever my mother saying life was easy, it's not, but, as parents we set the example for our children and I have not put myself in the drama between the gyms in this town, nor will I now. I just want everyone to focus on the positive, if you can say to yourself and be honest, my kid is not happy where you are, then move. If they are happy, then stay. Its really simple. I think the only thing that is so bothersome to me, is that of people (coaches, parents, athletes) who say some really bad things in here, facebook or myspace. It is horrible! Just let me share with you that if my kids coach ever said some of the things that have been said on any of these sites, we would be have a meeting. Parents should really be monitoring the myspaces, and as for the parents we need to set the example and let bygons be bygons. Good luck to all Cheergyms in Las Vegas!!! It is going to be a great season!!
Amen to cheermom95. I think we are all trying to put an end to all the garb. The girls all seem sooooo excited. Lets be excited for them. Let the building begin. HAPPY - HAPPY - HAPPY. Big teams, big hearts and big dreams.
If you want to know the truth about anything pertaining to P.A.C. and the split or about general information give me a call on my cell or text me at 702-497-1109 and I will be happy to answer any of your questions and lay it all out there on the table or if you would like to talk to me in person, I am at the Pride and Passion Athletics Training Center every night from 5:00 to 9:00 pm or we can schedule a meeting outside the gym as well. You can also email me. I am here to let everyone know what the truth is as those of you who know me I don't sugarcoat it and I tell it like it is.

Ok people think about it. Christie was not fired for no reason. If you want to know the reason you need to talk to the people at PAC. It is against the law to fire someone for no reason. So I guess Christie is the only reason those girls went to worlds. Wow that doesn't say much for the other coaches at PAC. I guess they had nothing to do with helping you get to worlds. Its AMAZING how people can jump ship so quickly before the know the facts. Everyone might want to go to the meeting at PAC tonight at 6:30pm to ask questions and find out answers. Oh by the way you dont need a secret text invite to ome to this meeting. Also there and mean people on both sides of the pond at Elements and PAC. It's called LIFE and you dont always get along with everyone all the time. You can either choose to listen to gossip or talk to the people in charge and find out the truth. I am choosing to stay at PAC because I like the direction the soccer company is taking us. PS they have a very sucessfull company.
I was a little upset that some of my reality shows are done, but then this came along!
Sorry, couldnt resist. I think some of us on the outside looking in who dont know anything about anyone there or the history, or the truth, might consider going to both meetings if put in this situation, and really try to get to the bottom of things so you can weigh your options. Once you feel you have ALL the information you need (information, not rumors or hearsay), follow your heart and go where your instincts lead you, because if it doesnt work out you can always try something new the following season. A mistake would be to make a decision before getting all the facts. I always list pros and cons when trying to make tough choices. Good luck to all the Las Vegas gyms this coming season, there is certainly a lot of talent there!
It is obvious that people cannot get pass this whole gym thing..I feel like I am reading stuff from kids in school. Everyone needs to try to focus on themselves PLEASE for your children! Really the more people write about the drama the longer it continues. I would rather just be able to read something positive for once. Well, there are few really professional comments on here , which is very refreshing! Thank you for staying positive! Again, good luck to ALL the gyms in Las Vegas!!

Well it seems as if everyone on these message boards have already made up there mind and have very strong opinions so I really see no need in going on with the subject if people are just going to argue from the two gyms. Like people above have said, go to both meetings, have your kids attend both practices. Do what you feel is best and what your child wants. Message me if you truly want any other info about the situation and I would be happy to talk about the pros and cons of each. Goodluck to everyone this year, I'm hoping it can remain as civil as possible!!!
I have to say that I was very happy to see how well the girls from pride and the girls from elements became eNVy tonight. It makes me think that maybe all this bad blood may have just been complete BS. I think everyone can agree that Las Vega has many talented athletes as well as coaches. A coming together can only be positive for Las Vegas cheer. Let's all have a great season regardless of what team your children may cheer on...
Bottom line for me is I want a stable gym for my daughter. That gym for me is the Elements Gym, now the eNVy team run by Nikci and Christi. Practice was awesome tonight and I like knowing that they can pay their rent next month unlike the other. I also like knowing they aren't trying to change locations without telling anyone until the last minute. As far as some of the talk about Elements gym being small, as soon as the teams get divided, the gym will be just fine for practices. Are you all forgetting how crowded it got during some of our practices and how no one could get full floors to run routines and tumbling time? How quickly some of you forget. Neusport came in and lied to everyone even our coaches, so why is anyone willing to trust them anymore? Anyone who expected this week to be smooth sailing with all the new transitions is being unrealistic. I thought the coaches all did a great job keeping it organized with so many kids in there. Let the outcast Element coaches stay at Pride and keep the problem kids that no one wants, I am happy to stay where I am. We all want a fresh start, this is it for us! Spread the word eNYy is where it is at!!!!!!!! Stable.....bottom line!!!!
This reminds me so much of a similiar incident that happened in Phoenix a few seasons back Big time Gym A fired some of their best coaches and didn't give a reason why. A bunch of kids followed the coaches to a new gym they started. Big gym still exists and functions fine. Little gym B also functions fine. (Both have been to Worlds.)
The 1st season was a lot of drama but now two seasons later I don't think any of the gyms involved even think about it anymore. This will all blow over, the most important thing is for the ADULTS involved to remain ADULTS and get the kids through this turbulent 1st season. Remember there are bigger fish to fry, don't spend your whole season freaking out over mergers and "who fired who for what reason" when you have WC/CEA/CA all out there waiting.
Good Luck to Vegas! "Get up and shake the glitter off your clothes now, that's what you get for waking up in Vegas!"
Good Morning to all! Thank you for the positive posts! FormerPride....thank you for your support it means more than you know! Practice was awesome last night, my kid was so happy and said all the girls were so nice and I think has made some new lifetime cheer friends. She is motivated and ready now to get business started. She woke up happy..yay for me!! lol! I am excited as well. CAPheebers....you are so right this too shall pass and let me tell you I cant wait! The dust will settle :) "I hope you all have a great day!!
I would have a lot more respect for the people trying to make the best of a bad situation if they would quit talking badly about kids. I have seen that in a few posts from people portraying themselves as adults, so I find that disheartening.
I am a little confused cheer5678? I am not sure I have read anything bad about the "kids"? I really think this is not a "bad situation", what I think is that everything happens for a reason, I dont know the reason yet, but, in the end this will be good for everyone, I can only hope for all involved. I want the drama to stop and get back to why we are all here, and that is our children love to cheer! We sometimes have to make changes, and change is good. Change hurts our hearts sometimes but all in all as adults we learn from this and teach our kids to stay positive and focus on what they love. I really hope everyone understand where I am coming from?

There was definate kid bashing...Read the whole thread. Bad apples? One particular bad girl? Yeah this will all be old soon and cheeeer goes on.
After reading all of the post, I just want to add one thought. I love the new eNVy gym obviously - But most importantly, I would like to put out there that we see now is what we are getting. There are empty PROMISES or GUARANTEES for the future.
We are not being enticed by ideas or plans for the future. We have been told straight up what to expect and what is being offered.
We are not sitting around waiting to see who the new coaches are that are being recruited, or waiting to see what the gym is going to have or not have in the future. Straight up we know what are getting into now.
Thanks to all the ladies at eNVy - the mood and atmosphere was phenomenal last night and I am looking forward to spending time with you all.

You've been very positive. It is the posts talking about "problem kids" and "bad apples" that bother me. I hope both gyms get themselves squared away quickly and that for both of them that the first order of business would be that people not post negatively about children no matter how strongly they feel about the situation.
Windows by design,First of all this is a right to work state so they can fire anyone for no reason,as for going to talk to the people at PAC , some parents went they were told that they never fired Cristi, she walked out because they did't want her to coach level 5.NOT. We were all excited when we heard the news about Neusport taking over. We were told "things will stay the same only better". Even Tenay,Pride was her baby was excited now she will have more time to coach and work with the girls.NOT.Those were all lies. In came a person who the closest he ever came to a gym and to run it was watching his kids cheer, and made all these changes.Forget about the parents feelings but the kids, most of them were complaining "this is'nt fun anymore" its time for a change. Some of the parents went to try to talk to the Guru but he insisted this is how its going to be you don't like it leave.PAC was a family gym it was more than a gym to the kids. Some grew with the gym and when it was time for them to leave they always hung around the gym talking to the kids and helping them. It was a place for the kids to "hang out" they came to meet their friends talk to the coaches and socialize They thought of Dan and Tenay like their family. Now the gym is like a morgue. The kids are like robots dressed in black ,you don't hear laughter or music.Last year when you came to the gym,you could'nt find a parking space,go look at it now,and that was even before EnvY. There are 11 coaches and 3 tumbling coaches at PAC (per larry) that came over to PAC because of the salary that was offered plus they have 3 women working at the front desk, where is the money coming to pay them,PAC could't make ends meet with all the girls they had what makes you think they can.Neusport is not in to loose money they are looking to make money not to loose it.Cristi was the first PAC coach to let go I'm sure the rest of PAC coaches will follow.I remember when pride went to competitions with our 45 girls and every said PRIDE WHO? and the past few years everyone knew PRIDE. And one man comes in and destroys it all.
