woooooooooooo good job sting rays!!!! we all go to compete and leave it all up to the judges and the judges have spoken lets not put stingrays down just because we all "think" there was a judging error i just say we just congradgulate them for all their hard work and dedication... GOOD JOB COAaches BRET AND CASEY
PAC, not a good season, you are crazy. They placed 2nd at grand, 2nd at spirit sports, and 1st at jamz. USA was the only comp they didnt place well and from what i heard they were trying out new stunts cause they already had their paid bid. I truely believe they had an amazing routine, and if it was clean on sat than they would have placed way higher on sunday.
Congratulations PACE on your3 Gold Medalsat the 2009 Cheerleading and Dance Worlds. All of your teams were AMAZING!

And also congratulations to Pace's Dan Sapp on being named the USASF Dance Coach of the year. Huge honor and so well deserved. Dan has been a pioneer in the cheer and dance world for years and I'm so happy he got this recognition. I will never forget Long Beach States CoEd Dance team in the late 80's. Whip it Good!!!

Actually, also grand champ at WSF here locally, $5000 grand champ award winner at JAMZ, and a few single place high score wins...it was a darn good season, with the SAME exact 20 kids that made the team in May '08. PAC doesn't have the luxury of switching members of a squad too often. Personally for me, judging was all over the map for sm. sr. at Worlds....baffled beyond belief, and not just for our squad placement.

hey everyone im from power and i just want to thank all of you who are supporting us and saying very kind things :) we were so happy that we even got to compete at such a great competition like worlds that placements werent to big a deal for us...all we cared about was hitting a routine of a life time and our main goal was to get our coaches and our team to cry because we did our routine with barley any flaws...and everyone did cry...it was the greatest feeling ever and like one of my teammates have said that no one can take that away from us... that was by far the best cheer season i have ever had and i look forward for many great seasons to come at no other than power! to my teammates i will miss all the seniorsthat have inspired me to work my hardest and to throw things i wouldnt even have imagined doing!! and to my coaches john and rich.....WOW you guys are like my family and such great coaches that really know how to make a team! i love you all with all my heart :) and i cant wait till next year...worlds 2010 here comes power :)
im sorry but topgun should have won unlimited coed, even with the fall, their routine was amazing and noone compares to them!! but CA did do extremely well so i guess they do deserve world champs!
and cheerforce should have been way ahead in the ranking for Small Senior. CA as good as they can dance, and as good as people think their uniforms look, they lacked difficulty in all areas. But they put on a GREAT show. Next year everyone lets just throw difficulty out the window, put on a smile and go out there and hit clean, easy routines. NOT! Who wants to win that way? Oh yeah! CA. Yeah I'm mad! I can't believe what they are doing. Poaching girls from other teams. NOT RIGHT!

Try multiple falls and multiple busts. They probably just needed a good performance, not even a great one. However, they had a bad performance when it counted most. Cali stepped up to the plate with a great routine and deserved the Gold, no question.

So your post first states that Top Gun should have won, and you end it with CA deserved world champs. Thanks for sharing that with us.
OMG--- Really? I'm so over it... stop already!!! CA is the poo and so is TOP GUN... They were in a league of thier own and yes CE did get close but either way everyone that is arguing can keep debating back and forth... but it doesnt change the fact that your little hand doesnt have a ring on it and you should spend your time training yourself or your kids to someday get that ever so "undeserved world title" so ugly people like yourself can talk about how you were not quite good enough... You sure don't hear TOP GUN complaining-- they're training... *Muah* Hug and Kisses!!!

Cheerfreak2009, I am totally with you! It amazes me how people from teams who lose always seem to find a way to place blame and complain about those teams who won. Winners talk about how amazing everyone else did.
If you don't like the way you finished, get back into the gym and train. If that's not your style, keep complaining and see how you do this year.
CA did great and they deserved it. It seems to me that great coaching staffs figure out what the judges are looking for and cater to it. CA is one of the best out there at knowing what wins and what doesn't. Stop hating and start learning.

I do not want to sound rude but yes i agree the entire outcome of small seniors to me was total bust but thats all im saying on that topic... but wat else i would like to say is to ur comment.. Im normally a very respectful person but heres wat i have to say... Yes Cheerforce should of placed higher.. n the CA thing... u need to take a look at the scoresheet.. it is NOT just all bout skill now.. it is also about performance and execution... It is better to hit a clean n solid routine n be safe than to throw a routine that is not 100% of the time guaranteed to hit... n lets just say if it weren't to hit... there r deductions n other mark downs that add up on the score sheet. it just all adds up n could potentially bring ur ranking down.. But before u go off n say anything smart bout CA... u need to go there n see how the coaches work.. the coaches will NOT put something in that would not hit 100% of the time or they would never put anything in the routine that someone could not do cuz they could end up getting hurt... N the "poaching" part... Our coaches would never feel the need to stoop that low to steal other gyms athletes... They come to us n it is the athletes decision to come to us.. It happens with every gym out there.. its the cheer life... get over it cuz ppl leave teams to go to other teams all the time...so yea... get ur facts straight...
again i apologize for sounding rude but its the only way to get my point across
i'm sorry, and i don't want to sound rude either, but in regards to CA, you can"t have it both ways. if i remember correctly CA claimed "we got robbed" last year. stingrays only had this and this. blah blah. this year CA did the same thing playing it safe. but still are claiming "we got robbed". just look at their comments on You Tube. I'm sorry but the teams above you deserved to be there. i think everyone needs to chill. i am not a fan of watered down routines. i would rather go all out and hit. but that is me.
also why is it when you go down to the chat box there are many posts that are not on here? why were they taken off. must have been a heated topic going on..I love the sensorship on here. seems one sided.JMO
instead of whining, get into the gym and work. CA are not robots and obviously not unbeatable. That was proven at worlds. and if more teams would have hit CA would have been lucky to get top 10. If people want to leave their gyms and join the CA bandwagon then let them. some of us know the importance of loyalty. Good luck everyone this next season. Stop the whining and start working.

It amazes me that people think that loyalty is the reason to stay at a gym. I think by reading other posts, there are many reasons to leave a gym. Some leave because they move, others need a team that is more suited for their child, and still others leave because they prefer one coaching style over another. What ever the reason, people need to make the right decision for their child. If you or your child are not happy at your current gym, loyalty means nothing. This sport is way to expensive and time consuming to be unhappy. My daughter stayed at a gym once for one year too long because of "loyalty". That season was miserable. The decision to leave was difficult, but in the end it was the right decision. I hope people respect the decisions of others to leave their current gym if needed and remember your gym may not be for everyone. Besides, who wants someone at their gym that is unhappy. It can bring others down, too.
Good luck to everyone in every gym this year!!

Feel bitter, I mean better now? All this stuff about CA's new team member has brought out the ugly side of some people. You'd think that they're upset that they didn't get invited to join the party or something. LOL

never would i want to join THAT party. but anything anyone says against CA is going to get verbally bashed or their post taken off, obviously by all the posts that are not on here but are in the chatbox. whetev. like i said they are not invincible. They are beatable. just work hard everyone. Don't be bitter be better. Better than them.
also there are many reasons to leave a gym. but in this instance it was stated it was for CA's goal of defending their World title in coeds. not the best interest of the girl. look at the post 2009-2010 teams in the chatbox. they took the post off.

I don't think anyone here should assume they know CA or "the girl's" story (are we not allowd to post her name now?). I've heard time and time again that Kiara and her parents are some of the most "loyal" humble people you ever want to meet. Let's say that THEY made the decision to make a change just because it was time or because she wanted a different style or setting. Is there really anything wrong with that? Would it be an easier pill to swallow if it were a different gym? (going out on a limb here and guessing yes!) I say respect their decision as we respect everyone else's. There will always be naysayers but let's not assume that she was "stolen" or "poached." Unless you've spoken with parties from both sides that's impossible to determine. Wish her good luck and move on. As someone above said...don't be bitter, be better!
Get ready for what could be one of the most exciting seasons in years. This is only a taste of the world of "sports".
Edited to add that I think all West Coast teams teams will be stepping up their games. Good luck to all! Really looking forward to the changes that each will make.

I have heard the word loyalty over and over again. that is a sword that cuts two ways. You can remain loyal to a gym, but they do not always remain loyal to you. I too stayed at a gym 1 year too long. They taught my girls how to cheer and then threw them away when a new flavor arrived. My oldest felt it most keenly. We made the move to a new gym and were excited with the results. Both girls improved and both came out of the season excited for the new one. They miss being there if they are gone for more then 2 days. I don't care about the name on the door, I care about the smiles and excitement of my girls. One cheer year? expensive The joy of my kids? priceless!
