The standings are sound. every team had some issues in some way at finals. here are the problems that I saw. I agree 100% with the judges on placment.

Stingrays- Major tumbling error but solid routine very clean and difficult

CEA- minor stunt bobble, solid routine

Woodlands Elite- Minor stunt bobble and timing issues, great choreography, sold the routine in the dance.

Pro Spirit- Tumbling stumble and Pyramid issue. fun and difficult

East Elite- Tumbling touch out and Pyramid bobble. Routine Felt kinda rushed

Spirit Of Texas- in the first 5 sec. 2 standing fulls eat floor. clean and difficult always fun to watch.

Cali- rushed and sloppy and times.. timing issues in motions before pyramid.. very fun to watch. great dance.

Cheerforce- 2 major tumbling errors. sloppy dance.

Central Jersey- Tumbling touch out, standing tuck touch out, center kick double didn't finish 2ND rotation. sloppy but fun to watch

AZ Power- standing tumbling center girl eats floor, Stunt timing issues, 2 cross tumbling touch outs, but fun to watch

as for Power...

POWER- random motions make them look spastic. lots of dead time they could be using for skill.. no real motion section, sloppy dance. solid stunts.

Just for the record, during the judging session today at the USASF conference, a lot of the coaches (not from Power or Cali) were asking very pointed questions about the small senior scoring.

Was it because Stingrays had a tumbling fall and still took 1st, or was there more to it than that?

That was included, but there was more.

I'm glad to hear that. I wasn't there, but I was following closely on several boards. Based on the comments made I was expecting a different outcome. I'm not trying to take anyone's glory away, but I was surprised to say the least.

However, CJ's feeback above does help clarify some of the questions I had.

I just wanted to say that California Large Coed freakin rocked this weekend!!!! I had so much fun being apart of California All Stars for the short time I was on the team. Dallas was amazing and WORLDS was 10 times more amazing!!!!! We all worked so hard and we deserved that title!!! Tannaz, Jeff McQueen and Shawn Miller are some of the best coaches around and they always pushed us to get that title!! All our hardwork payed off in the end and now I am proud to say that I am a World Champion!!!

I am still upset about the placing in the Small Senior division, because teams that hit flawless routines did not place as high as they should have!!!! Also, small small coed... Cheergyms.com really??? how did they not make finals?!?! really???? hmmm weird!!

WORLD CHAMPIONS :] first Cali Team to bring back the gold!!!!

if they start changing scores at worlds, I am taking my daughter to a new sport, it's bad enough we have to deal with this stuff all through comp season!!

Honestly in the four years we been in the cheer game I have never seen such integrity issues at every dang comp.... no

Having coaches questioning scoring doesn't meant there were any mistakes.  It means they are trying to understand the scores and how the rankings fit.

Frankly I question exactly where you "heard" about a possible mistake.  Just because someone complains doesn't make it a mistake.

Right decision or wrong decision, I've seen NO evidence of any error or anything to question the integrity of the judges at the competition.

The entire meeting was to gain a better understanding of the scoring (and it's been done after the last several Worlds) and to help increase the transparency in the sport.  I'll continue to push for the transparency.

As for power.........flawless routine.  Also Marlins...flawless routine.  IMO their seeding placements is what took away top ten for them

It's almost like a popularity contest. Well known teams who drop stunts and have tumbling bails are in the top because they are expected to be there....while smaller, less known teams are hitting solid and don't get the scores they deserve no

I cannot believe POWER and Cheergyms didn't score higher than they did. I'm a little disappointed on the scoring. But, what can you do? bleh

I agree. It should of been Top Gun's win, they were 10 times more amazing and exciting than CA Bullets that opening is bomb! CA did not have as much difficulty. If Top Gun didn't drop it would of been theirs thats the thing, CA (Sorry) won by default. They were good but not World Champion good, as for CA Sm Sr if you watch their routine and then watch the teams ahead of them, you will understand why the placed so low, yes they hit clean and solid but their difficulty is much lower than CEA Stingrays etc.. Even if those teams ahead made mistakes there raw score would of been much higher, Look at CA Bullets stunt sequence one girl goes straight up, one girl does a half full up, and 3 girls do a 1 1/2 while stingrays all do the same, CHEERFORCE should of placed higher even with their tumbling erros they were amazing day two ALSO Maryland Marlins should of been higher same with MAGIC though they dropped a stunt there routine was 10 x better than the teams that beat them. Oh Well what can you do right?? Looking forward to next year

Hey ACE Dad -- on the Dance results,

Day 2 still only shows 3 divisions, is this ever going to be updated? The results showing on the main dance ranking page, I think are only day 1 results (or are they the final day 2 results)

Can you find out for me... Thanks -- Wondering if ECB took it home in Sr HH -- they were awesome at Dallas.

Like any sport, if you make a mistake, it can cause you to lose.  Not fair to say CA won by default.  In fact, that's just not cool.  If a football player drops the ball and the other team (maybe the underdog) picks it up and scores the winning touchdown then that team wins because they played the better game.  It may even be the superbowl game.  So be nice and let the winners own their title.

I am amzed at how nasty some people are getting. Nobody gives away a win they either get it or they don't. If you cheer you know the reality of going to a comp. As I said before every day is a new day and everyone has a chance to win. It is what you do with that chance that makes all the difference in the world! Or in this case Worlds! We left a gym because they loved to hate on other teams and always had an excuse as to why they didn't win. So be gracious and congragulate the winners. Every team that made it to Worlds is a winner, look at how many teams did not even make it that far. So Congrats to all the participants. I expect that next year will be even more amazing.
