cheer and pageants?

I wonder thoughougt norcal how many of girls who compete with all star also compete in pageants.

I ask this because my daughter had done a number of pageants in Norcal and Socal and when we are in Socal most of the contestants are also on all star cheer but in Norcal we don't see it too much. It can be just as competitive as a cheer comp. I kind of just stay to myself and allow my daughter to have fun.

So just wondering do any of you do both or only one because both activities are super expensive. My daughter doesn't have many "pageant friends" here but has a ton of them in Socal.

I've only meet one pageant mom and daughter combination involved with cheerleading.

and sadly, the stage mom had issues with EVERYTHING.  Picked a part the girls uniforms, make up, bows, critiqued her daughter constantly and critiqued the other teams, complained about the light on the stage to the announcers voice - I mean everything. Gave her daughter permission to be rude and threatening to the other girls in the gym - building a bully of sort.  When the coaches ask her to change her daughter's behaviors it was always the other teammates fault because her daughter does pageants and her daughter isnt that type of girl.  The mom constantly compared her daughter with others and constantly wanted her daughter to be in the front of the formation so that her daughter could be photographed more often.

If that's what goes on in the pageant world that's crazy.  Now I know why there was a reality show about pageant mom's.  lol
