I Went To Watch Some Videos On Youtube And They Are GONE
Working with youtube to get my account unsuspended. Seems the staff with I.A.L.C were not too happy with all the performances I posted and the negative feedback. They should be worried about their own judges because the videos speak for themselves. Look for CHEERBANDIT JR. in the future
I really do not think it was right of the I.A.L.C. should have taken down your videos there was no posting or rules about recording and some of us did appreciate your videos! Hope you get back up soon.
What kills me is that I was in front of the judges panel the whole day filming and talking to judges and staff members throuhout the day. Not one time did anyone say no video taping allowed. I guess they dont want anyone to see all the videos and judge for themselves how much of a screw up this comp was Look for CHEERBANDITJR soon
I spoke to Varsity today and spoke to the person who took down all the videos. Her name is Andrea and she is not a very nice person. She irrirated that they own all rights and its within their legal capasity to shut down anything she pleases. I think many phone calls to her is warrented to explain that these are KIDS performing and that being able to post their routine should be none of their business. Her information is as follows
Her supervisor is a little nicer her name is Marlene she said she was going to talk to her legal department to see if they are going to allow reposting of the videos. You may contact her at
Marlene Cota Content Partnerships and Strategic Alliances Advertising and Partnerships Phone: 901.387.4306 Email: mcota@varsityspirit.com
Also they will state to you that all videos will be avilbel on Varsity tv on May 7th
Hmmm, I think this just confirms that IALC knows how wrong their judging was but aren't "man" enough to deal with upset coaches, cheerleaders, & parents.
I hope youtube gives you back your account, I really appreciate you filming and enjoy watching teams.
Usually when varsity posts videos on their site they cut out parts of the routine. I hate that they do that! I will def. be calling tomorrow and let them know how ridiculous it was of them to take down cheerbandits videos.

That should have happened on Day 1. These videos gave the other competitors the unfair advantage. They had time to study their West cost competitors to make sure their routines were just enough to beat them.
In addition, all this talk on this board allowed those other teams to figure out just exactly what and how the events are being run.
I would have loved the true insight 3 weeks before my team hit the floor one last time.
We would have all loved to have insight on how things were going to be run; many of us would have saved a lot of money (hotels, flights, gas) and stayed home.
I think if this competition had went well this wouldn't be an issue. They can't justify the results so they are covering everwhere they can. I wish they had been big enough to admit things were not done well but that they will work to improve them, instead they seem to have taken a we don't care, were going to do what we want and owe no apology to anyone attitude. It's a shame because this(All level comp) was a great idea that was handled very badly. It will take a lot to get teams to return next year.

I don't agree with your last statement. I COULD ONLY HOPE, IF OUR TEAM QUALIFIES AGAIN, THAT WE WILL GO. I think this competition is doing what is was set out to do. There's not one competition out there that people don't question some of the placements. Not even worlds. And I've been to more expensive comps with expensive parking and expensive food. We don't have to like it but we do it because it's expected in the competitive cheeeer world. BY THE WAY, I LOVE CHEERBANDITS YOUTUBE VIDEOS AND I WILL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO CHEERBANDIT JR
Completely disagree. The kind of mistakes we are seeing at this competition you just dont see at others. Ive never heard of a different panel of judges looking at a division and changing the scoring, and you rarely see scoresheets lost, mishandled, whatever; and when results are posted online you would think they would make sure they fixed all the mistakes first. Do they really deserve another chance next year? Have we heard from them at all explaining any of this? If there are excuses for the incompetencies it would be nice to hear what they are.
I have to say. I have never thought about the advantage other teams could have being able to see a competitors routine. Going to Worlds for instance. A handful of teams have recently competed with their "new" routines and I am sure competitors have watched them to see what the changes are. They would have plenty of time to change or add to a routine in order to try to gain advantage. This is something to think about. I love watching Cheerbandit's videos but, not quite sure I want them being used to other teams advantage. Hmmm.
The problem here is that this one person is getting singled out for something that many do. Cheerbandit is not the only one posting on youtube. You can search and find teams videos if you want them.
This site even has a spot to post routine videos. They are out there. Is varsity demanding that this site be closed? Why not there is a lot of bad publicity for them here.
Why should one person be single out and persecuted because a company did not have a well run competition. Everyone was taping. They did not say do not tape, why is this one person singled out for what many of us did. There are other videos of this competition out there. I know because mine is also posted on youtube.
For me, what another team is doing does not matter. My routines are well choreographed to get the maximum amount of points that my team can execute cleanly.
I do not care what another team is doing because I am not trying to steal their material. I enjoy seeing teams to see what they are doing because I enjoy this sport. Tape my teams and enjoy the show. Just don't steal my material.
Cheerbandit is the bomb! i do think it is unfair for Varsity to take down the videos. i love watching the videos. i was just saying how i never thought that vidoes in general could be used as strategy for the competitor. and yes I believe that routines are made with certain criteria, but at Worlds everything counts and every advantage helps. A little tweak here and change there because of team A put in an extra stunt sequence (that you saw on you tube) is not hard to do and am sure has been done. JMO.
My guess is that cheerbandit is being targeted because he/she is mentioned so frequently on these message boards for posting videos and because he/she had so many of them on YouTube....just a guess. I think it would be hard to find every joe shmo that has one or two videos up. Cheerbandit is just an easy target.
