Tired of the team bashing, all these teams work hard no one in ssl5 slacks. Why do other programs feel they can bash them and make up rumors and start drama on this board ??? That's All, what are your thoughts?
definitly not a rumour. many girls and coaches heard it and saw it. they weren't to descrete about it. tacky, tacky, tacky. what everyone should be tired of is cheerleaders and programs not being respectful of other teams. if you want to bash another team that bad, at the very least, wait until you get the car!

I don't think anybody is trying to start drama--in fact, I think we are trying to STOP the drama by reminding teams that sportsmanship is a very big part of cheer. Its that simple and something we have all been taught from a very young age:
IF YOU CAN'T SAY SOMETHING NICE, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!
It's cheerleading, this sport is very competitive.. In every sport people will bash eachother, everyone has a competitive side to them.. Especially in the level 5 divisions.. It's like a dog eat dog world, haha funny saying but it's true... Ughhhh I need to get sleep, me and another girl on my team are having too much fun reading on here :)
Its not really anyone who matters bashing. Its just coaches or gym owners starting topics pretend to be someone from that gym being bashed. Just so they can advertise for the gym they are really at. Just don't respond to the tread and it will just move on down the line and be forgotten. Every post you make brings it right back to the top of the list.
Well I hear it alot of team bashing, but don't respond to the thread if you don't want to, no skin off my back. Just thought the bad mouthing should stop. Like I said in the begining, every cheerleader out there is doing what they love to do and they are doing there best.
Not every team can be a "Cheerforce, Top Gun, Stingray you get the picture", but they are working hard to get there. You have to start somewhere. Ya know you can't get to the top if you don't start at the bottom. That's life, so be kind, cause what goes around comes around, be supportive of eachother have respect for your cheer sisters. Rember you are all doing what what you love, being competive and making great memories.
I agree with aquestion!! Most of this "drama" seems to created by the same posters all the time. Many times they probably are not the athletes at all, which is very sad because many girls from local gyms are indeed friends and respect each other!!! If you want to promote your gym, do it in a classy way. Your gym's reputation shouls speak for yourself. Coming on these boards and playing the poor little victim gets old really fast and everyone sees right through it!!!! Good luck to all the California gyms going to worlds. Now it should be about California not about one team. Let's unite and let go of the nonsense.
People are greedy; it is human nature. People want what they don't have. Have you ever driven down the street and noticed a nice sports car or suv driving beside you. Now this car is a lot nicer than your own. Well a lot of the time you don't sit there and go wow that guy must be a hard worker to be able to get that car. Instead we sit there and get angry about it and talk smack about this person we don't even know.
Well the same thing happens in cheer. Gym A has something Gym B doesn't have so Gym B talks smack about Gym A instead of realizing that Gym A had to work their butts off to get to where they are.
I remember when I first started to tumble a chain reaction occured. It seemed the more tumbling passes I got the less people of the same level talked to me in my very own gym. People didn't care that I pretty much spent my life inside the gym learning to tumble. That a good 20 hours of my week was put into learning to improve my tumbling skills. All they saw was I got a new tumbling pass and immediately started disliking me.
One thing that I have learned through all of it was don't let other people get you down. If you are good at what you are doing people are going to talk smack about you no matter what. Just thank them for sharing their opinion and turn the other cheek. Don't retaliate back because you are just fueling the fire. Take it as a compliment that these people took the time to come onto the message boards to write something about YOU.
To say team A works harder than team B and gets bashed for being good is so elementary. We are not in kindergarten. I think everyone is just getting tired of the really bad sportsmanship. I know I am. If everyone would just chill out and be respectful to eachother, Team A - Z would have nothing to argue about.
In my experience the most defensive ones are the ones that have the most to be defensive about. Guilty conscience?? If team A,B,C,D, wants to bash on team E,F,G, then they better prepare to get it right back. That is the way you deal with bullies. Or if you want to be adult about it; be nice and don't say anything in the first place.
Two wrongs don't make a right. And it didn't take long to write.
Edit: And why would those teams feel guilty about something? That part confuses me a bit. If you could please elaborate on that it would be appreciated.

Usually the one who has done the wrongful thing is the one denying it the most or the loudest. That is what I meant.
Also, two wrong don't make a right. That does not apply here. This is about making a stand. We are not going to stand for the BAD sportsmanship that has been going around. There are always people around, listening, and watching. Why would a team want to be put in a bad light? Just be nice, encouraging, and a good sport and this board would have nothing to say. But if you decide to be snide and rude, just know someone is there who will call you out. So don't be suprised or defensive, because what comes around always goes around.
The more you fight with someone the more they are going to fight back. This is the internet. It is full of internet tough guys who say things behind a fake persona to agravate people and get a response out of them. It is called trolling. You shouldn't feed the trolls. The more you respond the more they are going to talk back. They feed off the annoyance they create for other people. The louder you shout, the more you talk in CAPS, the more you fight back, well the more they will sit back drinking a slurpie laughing because they are getting the response they want out of you.

You were the one that asked me to clarify. Can't help it that you didn't like my clarification, I love the Worlds idea. Even if we can only come together on a T-Shirt, it is a nice gesture and a great start. I really hope California can keep it going. I want WORLD PEACE!
iBase, makes a good point, by waiting until you get in the car to talk crap.. When I cheered that was like the number one cardinal rule. I think its really tacky to give dirty looks and make silly comments at competitions.

And I thank you for clarifying =). I think you try to find the negatives in my posts lol. You have your opinion and I have mine. Nothing you will say will change my mind and nothing I will say will change yours and this is how fights begin. I just stated my opinion and you stated yours time to get over it and move on.
