Ahh. I just found out our junior level 3 got first. I don't know exactly was division they were in, but i'm so excited! Go power xtreme!

Ok now I am really confused with scoring.While I am happy starstruck tied for 3rd I'm confused at how. I believe they dropped stunts and had touch downs. West coast got second and dropped a stunt while ca hit and tied for 3rd and other teams in that division hit their routines (with same difficulty level) and didn't place? I am thinking ialc is a joke. On a better note I forgot to mention earlier how much I enjoyed riptide coed 4, your girls were so nice and respectful, your program is a true class act!

okay so me being another cheer mom...
i agree with the other one =)

this competition was one of my least favorites of the season.
i told my comments to my daughters coach and she agreed completely, and she shared her opinions with me.

even though they said no parents or non cheerleaders in the warm up area, there were a bunch of people just roaming around back there

another thing the coach had to tell me was that her division didnt even get their score sheets back!! they said they wouldnt have them until after the whole comp was over on saturday! i mean honestly how long does it take to bring scoresheets down a flight of stairs? what kind of a competition is that? my daughters team did not place in top 3 and still doesnt know where they placed because of this poorly ran competition. i have never heard of that happening anywhere else. so unorganized.

and the thing between airborn and titans, is ridiculous. a 7 point difference and no one caught it? and starstruck tying for 3rd and not even getting recognized for it? makes me wonder if teams won in divsions where they shouldnt have or something you know? like the level 3 open teams.. i read about the bad scoring in that division, maybe their was a mess up?

and the small open level 3 division, whats up with the small gym category? why was that the only division with that? seems kinda funny, shouldnt even be offered. because the teams in that division were pretty "PAL cheerleading", they would not have won against the other small open teams.

The thing where they only gave trophys1,2,3 was alright but at least announce the other teams and what they placed, that would have helped with the teams that didnt get their scoresheets back!

the cheerleaders didnt even get a free gift.. at most nationals my daughter got a free shirt or a bag, here nothing. and for all the money im paying for her to go, she has nothing to show for it.

viewing was also hard, people were walking around everywhere and from my seat, i couldnt even watch a whole routine!

this competition ovbviously had a lot of flaws. i expected more from it.

"with all the money you're paying for her to go to the comp"? Most teams paid a mere $25 for the comp - about 1/5 of the cost of any large national competition.

This was the first ILAC, and for the most part it was okay. They were dead on in only annoucing the top three. It really dosen't matter what you placed after that. Remember it's Gold, Bronze, and Silver. The way the award show was running, if they were to annouce everyone we would of been there forever. I do agree that the judging could of been handled a little better, but overall was okay.

This is a shame. Titans were good but even though Airbourne had a tumbling collision thay were still far better than any other team in their division. This was one I actually thought the judges got right but I guess not!

I watched the awards and saw how excited the athletes from Airborne were when they were announced the winners. There is really no excuse for this, it wasnt a typical regional competition where mistakes like this might be forgiven. Its also a pity for the Titan Elite athletes who didnt find out until later, I dont know which is worse but it should never happen, how do you grab the wrong score sheets?? Is it really that difficult to keep the scoring straight?

i dont know how or why they grabbed the wrong score sheets, but some people have to understand that this is a first-time compitition..and messing up in the scoring is just a common mistake. Hopefully it wont happen again.

oh how one could wish this was a first time competition. this was a typical USA competition inside and out. someone just needed to look a little closely to the detail.Boxes of supplies and clothing items all were pre-printed with the USA symbols. shame on promoting this event at the ultimate competition. it was a farce when it came down to the actual details of this event. so many people and gym owners were quite unhappy to have believe this would actually be something special and something to remember.

I am so sorry to have to come on this board and write something negative but these competition host need to wake up. they are starting to destroy what the kids and parents are walking away saying about these types of events. Cheerleading is getting so bad and it really needs to be revamped to make sure major mistakes done happen at ever single event. These mistakes are becoming the normal rather than the exception at every event.

I was at the competition and only saw a few USA people around. Their were SEVERAL Varsity people there from the east coast. Just inform your coaches of any suggestions and I'm sure they will gladly listen.

Tracy, I agree 100%, changes have to be made. It seems every year it gets worse, from giving bids to just about everyone to adding more divisions so more gyms can claim they are national champions. And absolutely NO accountability for errors or poor judging. Xpressjag, you may have been happy with all the placements, but you are in the minority, and thank goodness for that.
