"ShowSomeSpirit" Both Locations are about an hour and 15 minutes away from each other
As far as level 5 teams is concerned from what we know it will be
Murrietta Location-Small Limited Co-Ed level 5
Laguna Hills Location-Youth level 5, Junior level 5, Small Sr Level 5
But anything can change
Both gyms combined as of Today are 12 teams strong,!! The hopes are that by the end of the tryout period we will have 16 teams combined at least!!
The majority of our teams will stay at their current locations, however our levels 5 teams (Junior, Senior & Open International divisions) may combine to be the best or if there is enough at both locations, they too will stay at their current location. One thing is for sure: each location will have a team for each athlete that becomes a part of OUR FAMILY!
BEST OF LUCK PACIFIC COAST MAGIC, CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT SEASON TO SEE YOU NEW UNIFORMS, YOU GONNA GET NEW ONES RIGHT????? INTERESTING WHAT COLOR WILL THEY BE......
It is VERY cool that everyone in both programs is excited about this merger....that is a very important component to bringing two gyms together! I have no doubt you guys will be successful next year....goodluck!
cali has like 18 or 19 including dance and next season i believe they will exceed 20, cheerforce has 9 without the merger so i would assume next season with both gyms they will have 15-17 teams, Pacific coast magic said they will probably have 12, and oc has i think 7 ot 9 this season.
I expect it to be a growing year for all of these gyms more than ever this coming season because of how well their all around programs have been doing even with the economy in the state that it is. Good luck to all!
what about SCV? they have at least 10 or 11 teams. i know cuz i always hear their name like 50 times at comps (ok, maybe i exagerate, ha ha). mostly in the younger divisions, but still...
According to their website SCV has 13 teams - one location.

Yes, 13 teams with several kids on 2,3 and even 4 teams. Too many crossovers. I would be far more impressed if there were only a few crossovers.
I don't know how those parents have that much time to take them to practice I would never let my daughter do two or three teams, one team is busy enough... who agrees?
Every gym has people that cross compete. Its not really a big deal, But i do think being on more than 2 teams or crossing from level 5 to level 2 it outrageous.
I will be hard to predict how many teams each gym will have next year. With the economy the way it is my duaghter wont be back becuase cheer is so expensive. I'm sure this will affect everyone in one way or another.

Dear 1cheerfan: I assure you nobody at SCV is crossing over as much as you say they are. Your facts aren't straight - the rumors you hear at your cross town gym, just aren't true.
SCV is a great program with a lot of kids who work very hard.(I am not affiliated with that gym, this is just my opinion) As far as the crossovers are concerned.... every gym has them for many different reasons. Whatever the reason may be is irrelevent because it is legal. So untill the rules state differently, then it is nobody's buisness why who or how many. Good luck Pacific Coast Magic!!
So what's your point? Cheerio is right on. It's not illegal and if a kid can handle it then power to them! There are numerous reasons for crossovers. Everyone just needs to chill out and stop judging everyone else when you don't know the situation. It's nobody's business but the coaches of the gym.

no my bad i was trying to quote something i dont mind cross overs
I think cross competing is fun.. And sometimes one team would get second.. But I always had another chance.. And it kept me healthy.. Plus sometimes it made me feel important cause I cross competed Lvl3 to Lvl5. I was a solid Lvl3.. And my basing skills were needed for lvl5. But Since I quit cheer i've been soo bored!!!!
i have to say i loved watching your teams in the warm up floor they were all having fun and changing bows and supporting eachother you definetly had everyone staring congrats and good job today pacific coast magic

Devoted SCV Cheer Mom
I would have to say I agree with Devoted SCV Mom. I don't really think they have any crossovers. They have over 240 athletes, that would be a lot of teams. I am not from there but have talked to their coaches, nice people. and so good at what they do. Scv 1 big gym and doing a great job. Good luck at Worlds!
