Nor will they ever.  Just like no European Pro football team could beat an NFL team.  Cheerleading is "as American as apple pie" and always will be!  I don't see any country catching up to American standards in cheerleading. JMO

While it may never be as widespread as American cheerleading, I think we'll see more and more talented teams, especially from Asia.

My family had the pleasure of meeting a young woman from Japan last week.  She has cheered for seven years.  After watching videos of her teams, I have never seen such precision and clean lines.  Her high school team was doing level six stunts and that was four years ago.  Once they work on the tumbling and dances, the US teams will have some definite competition!!

Really, you have never seen such precision and clean lines?  Well I certainly would challenge that with many of our own teams here in the USA.  And as far as level 6 stunts go, you have to remember USASF doesn't allow this in the middle and high school divisions.  That is not to say, our own kids can't do them.  I watched the Chinese at Worlds, and I still believe it is about an entire routine.  Because when China was done, you just didn't have the same excitment as you have from the USA teams.  I have to agree with the other post, they will never be as good as our teams here.  So I think at this competition, that it really will be the best of the best.

I think it will be the best of the best, if the best attend.   Looks like it will be a good turnout based on the numbers posted.  I wonder how many will attend the other, and will any gyms attend both?  We already know One Athletics will be at the other one which is a bit disappointing to the gyms who would have liked to have gone against them at IALC.  I mean that as a compliment to One, I think they are doing terrific this season.  Anyone else going to the other one?

but yea, whos going to the long beach one??

If your talking about the one on 4/4-4/5, One Athletics is going.

There might be some confusing, on my part too.   There's Jamfest in Long Beach.  But the other competition that is supposed to be similar to IALC is called US Finals.  It's in April, in Vegas.  Anyone going to that one??

Yikes, sorry for all the posts.  Can't edit them for some reason.   Meant to say confusion, not confusing.  smile
