Dallas was the most amazing experience. Seeing a lot of the teams that will be at worlds and competing in front of a large crowd was a feeling i cant even describe. I Hope everyone got home safe and had as good of a time as i did :)
some of us got jipped....again....... like CA's jr 4 and sr 4.
agreed about those 2 teams and many other california teams getting jipped.
but it was still amazing. its incredable to be able to watch those teams we only see on youtube :]
and i loved when top gun and cali coed made a huge circle together at awards, those two teams are both incredible and they have nothing but respect for one another.
that was amazing!! my favorite awards ceremony of the whole thing....and i watched all of them lol. worlds is gona be one HUGE show. im so excited for them(:

Because i believe east elite senior 4 and stingrays junior 4 deserved their wins. They were both AMAZING
Higher...alot of cali teams placed lower than i expected but thats nothing new for NCA. California teams typically do not do well on that score sheet. i just think the cali style of cheer is something way different than what those judges want to see

yeaaaa. for ca sr 4 i dont think it was really legit to put them in second to last because of their shirts or whatever on day 1. but ca jr 4...if day 2 is 80% and you have someone hit an amazing routine and get 3rd but someone with a handful of mistakes gets 1st you can understand why we were confused. it just didnt make sense to us.
For anyone who believe Ca Sr 4 should have beat East Elite Sr 4 they are crazy! EE Sr 4 girls were awesome this weekend and Stingrays had some mistakes on Day 2 but as far as anyone beating EE Sr 4 they deserved to win!!! And to do it two yrs in a row is incredible!!!!

I have always been a huge Stingray fan; however, this weekend I was shocked at the favortism shown by the judges for their jr 4 team. Sunday's routine did not deserve the the raw score that is was given. Not only did they have a number of dropped stunts and tumbling busts, they did not have the enthusiasm that they had on Saturday. I have reviewed the scoring grid and sliding scale over and over and since CA had the safety deduction, it is clear the winner should have been University Cheer Airforce.
Dallas was amazing. I got to see so many amazing teams...I felt so bad for East Elite. They were incredible the first day!! I was amazed at how far they dropped in the rankings... I was also amazed at how on Saturday's Prelims Ca Senior Small 5 dropped three stunts and had a couple of touchdowns and still managed to get a 6th place ranking. But, they pulled out all the stops on Sunday and came close to a clean routine..Good job!! Power was amazing as well. They really hit it!! They seemed to have put harder elements in their routine and it worked for them...Good job girls!! Magic both days hit pretty clean. Really thought they deserved a better ranking, but 10th at NCA Nationals their first time out...pretty impressive...
Top Gun was definitly a crowd pleaser. So much fun to watch. That team can tumble. Just incredible.
Reading the posts on this competition I see that many people are saying that there was bias for the East Coast teams. I do agree to a point. But I also think there was a little bias with Teams who did extremely well at Worlds last year. But really, it is what it is. Cheerleading is very subjective and unpredictable. Until we find a better way of scoring routines in a less subjective manner that would eliminate bias....I think these athletes need to just be happy with the way they performed. Did they leave it on the mat? Did they do all they could do? If they did then they should be happy no matter what the outcome. If they didn't then they need to work harder for the next time. Now, I must admit....I LOVE WINNING...What a feeling. It is addicting...isn't it??? But I love Cheering and that is ultimately what it is about. Win or lose I LOVE to Cheer and Compete..To all the programs that represented our state of California..I think we showed them what we are all about!!! Congrats!!
Dallas was so much fun this year. So many great teams we're there. As far as Cali teams being scored lower, i don't think that's true, CA small 5 dropped 3 stunts and had tumbling erros and still managed to stay up near the top 5 which was wrong. Power-Amazing weekend for this team, they really improved since spirit sports congrats on that bid. Champions-they're amazing Stingrays-Didn't impress me too much this year, there not even as close to as good as they we're last year, but congrats on 1st place East Elite-I was shocked how far they moved down, they we're amazing day one. Even with that day two, i am prediciting them to win worlds. Az Power- a very good day one, i don't know what happened day two but i know there going to do well at worlds Cheer Extreme-Bad day one, but pulled it off day two... Magic-hit two amazing solid routines, should of deserved higher but i agree with the person above top 10 at nca for their first year is impressive, there definetly a team to watch out for at worlds CA Lrg Co-ed- love their pyramid!! Awesome!! Top Gun- They're amazing!! enough said... i have a feeling there going to be world champs again Ca jr 5-amazing day one, but had a horrible day two and moved down Stingrays jr 5-is so talented!! they're so cute and fun to watch with so much skill magic jr 5- horrible weekend for them they we're all over the place, there talented especially putting up 11 stunts i hope they can pull through and earn a bid at usa nationals supercells- they looked so good this weekend!! and earned that first place! f5- what happened to them? i thought they looked great day two but they still ended up in 3rd i hope all the best for them
Dallas was incredible. I can't get enough of Varisty.com..I keep watching all the routines..(Even though they have edited out my favorite parts)
I agree with the 2 posts above. CA did not get scored lower...Small Senior is a perfect example. How do you drop 3 stunts and have tumbling issues and still score high?? Stingrays also had some problems the first day...East Elite had unfortunate mistakes on Sunday and they dropped from FIRST to NINTH.. I know about the raw scores but even those scores are highly subjective...Cheer2468 you are absolutely right. There was definitely favoritism toward the teams that are more...popular or who have done very well at worlds. It is kinda sad...How are other teams ever going to get a fair shake??
The Small Senior Division was so much fun to watch. I had my highlighter and pen an I was trying to take notes, while my friends were shouting out hands down, stunt fell, bobble,....it was a sight to see. Dallas Memories....Funny...Hope you liked our play by play...I kind of got tired on Sunday and quit half way through...
Anyway...East Elite...my heart goes out to you. Wow..Those girls came out to win!! The first day they were unstoppable. Then Sunday...Ouch. Hearbreaking....
Congrats to All the Teams from CALIFORNIA (the state)...You girls all made us proud..Regardless whether you stuck the routine one day or both days....Dallas was MAJOR!! 3 out of the top 10 teams were from California!! GOOD JOB LADIES!!! A little note to: SMALL SENIOR 5 MAGIC GIRLS!!!
You guys did so well...Each day you came out and hit it...Not quite sure as why you placed the way you did...I think it should have been higher too!!! Along with many others I have talked to...You have become the team people are rooting for because you girls have really earned EVERYTHING you have accomplished the HARD WAY...Absolutely NOTHING has come easy for your team. Seeing your team at competitions is heartwarming. You guys genuinely love eachother. It is really like you girls are part of a family...Keep up all your hard work..I am expecting great things from this team at Worlds...You have become the underdog..but girls...EVERYONE LOVES TO ROOT FOR THE UNDERDOG!!!

NCA has the most bottom line scoresheet your going to get. In fact I think its one of the best in the industry, if not the best.
I'm bummed never did get to see any of the big teams -- too busy in Hall C with dance... There was some great teams in the dance end... They have really stepped up their game.... But I am proud to say.... I almost got trampled by Top Gun Sr Coed as they were going down the hall in their formation line.....heading to the warm up area....
