I just wanted to let all of you know how sorry i am that i have to resign from the team and about the short notice. Originally my parents told me that i could stay on the squad but recently changed their minds and thought that it was in my best interest to resign due to some school issues. I know that you guys are a great team and that you will do awesome in Anahiem. I am definately cheering for you and wish you the best of luck!!!!
It is such a shame when parents use extra curricular activities to punish their children. I have three teenagers and have had our share of ups and downs with school and such and the one thing I will never do is punish their team for their personal mistakes. I have two baseball players and a cheerleader and have watched other parents use these sports to punish their children and it is wrong. Take away everything else (phone, car, computer, tv, etc) but teach them the responsibility of being part of a team. You are punishing everyone else on their team and their coach far more than you are punishing your child. Teach them that when they make a commitment to a team that they must see it through. It will be a much longer lasting lesson than the alternative. I am sorry that you have been told to make this decision. A better alternative would have been to finish your team this year and not tryout for next year. Frustrated Parent
Stephanie- I am very upset that you are not my team anymore. You were in all of my stunts and I already miss you. I don't agree with you or your parents decision but I still love you to death. To let you know we found replacements for you and Rachel. Jen Nielson from Sm. Seniors took your place and Caitlyn Johnson from Sr. Intermediate. I hope you're cheerleading still continues and everything goes well with Monte Vista. Good Luck and you will be missed!
stephanie i am so sad you had to leave the team. you were a great base and an asset in many stunts. i hope you find happiness in whatever you do next and you know that you are missed from the team.
