i agree with the person above on the fact that CA is much sharper but saying almost everyone has perfect jumps does not mean magic doesn't cause they do as well and their ending dance is good but magics is too, i think what people are frustrated about it that you can't honestly say dropped 3 stunts and having touchdowns can earn you a 6th place on the first day and if i was that team i wouldn't feel good with it, i watched both routines and yes CAs routine is overall better but putting up two stunts does not mean anything especially because their 2nd stunt is only a areobesque double down not anything hard any team can put that up, both of these teams have strengths and weaknesses and CA is sharp and they do everything very well and their form is good but they are not consistent, magic is not as sharp but very consistent and overall throw harder skills and USA is all about being clean so from what i've seen if magic can hit two perfect routines they should beat CA but if CA can pull it off they can easily beat magic as well the only reason i have doubt in them is because they are not consistent and it wouldn't surprise me if they have a bad/off day especially considering both CA and Magic are competitng twice on saturday good luck
Small sr 5 is not just about Magic and Ca!!!!!! This division is filled with extreme talent and frankly I hope we see some surprises this weekend. I am not saying these teams are not fun to watch, but both have had their mistakes this season with stunt falls and sloppy tumbling so it's all up for grabs. Be carefull who you count out!! They may just sneak up and surprise all of us!!!
First, Cheerio...Your right! This is not just about CA and Magic. There are many great teams going...The reason I think these two teams are being talked about so much is because they were both at Palm Springs AND Dallas. I see you are an OC fan and may be feeling a little left out. It has been awhile since I have seen OC Black. I am excited to see them this weekend. I remember from Cheer Pros (where they got 1st) they looked great but they needed a harder pyramid and stunts. How is that going?? Hope OC has a great competition.
I am embarrassed to say that whoever is running off at the mouth about how great CA is and how they dominate Magic is really contributing to the animosity people have toward CA...Please be kind.
In my humble Opinion...I think that CA out Performs Magic..Ca really knows how to play to the crowd and the judges. They are extremely sharp and they do WORK IT!!! But difficulty wise Magic has the edge. If Magic can sharpen things up and really PERFORM (Put on a show...it's more than just executing your difficult skills) they can definitly take CA whether CA hits or not...
Your right cali love there are many great teams going but I think the reason that Ca and Magic have been the talk is because they are the two favorites for the PAID bid up for grabs, and that is going to be important for those two teams. OC is very clean this year and I hope all the best for them but they will not outscore CA Cheerforce or Magic this weekend. They should recieve an at large if they added harder skills.
Regarding the Ca and Magic Routines as i was watching from Dallas, CA has a better overall routine and there music is well done but when it comes to skill Magic does outscore them. I don't think one team is better than the other I think they are very equal and it will be an exciting battle to watch this weekend when they are fighting for that PAID. A little birdie told me if CA small 5 doesn't get a PAID they aren't going to worlds...That should be a huge determination for them and I know they will bring it this weekend. This will be the only CA team attending this weekend as i can see...Good luck to both teams let the best performance this weekend WIN =)

ive heard this same thing thats why i hope that get the bid
Both teams are so capable. As "I Want Gold" or "Honestly" was saying USA does have a perpencity for CA so if they can hit clean routines (whether Magic hits or not) they have got it.I know I know..It shouldn't be that way. But, unfortunately it happens. I do hope CA gets the Paid...Worlds wouldn't be the same without them...they should go regardless. But I know because of the economy it is going to be a hard venue to get to..Good luck CA...
I wonder why the schedule isn't up, it's only days away.. and all I know is that I'm very excited to see how we all do this weekend and who's going to come out on top! goodluck everyone. and I think the winner will just depend on who hits and who doesn't and who hits it clean and very well.
I wonder if they are going to put a complete schedule up before Prelims are completed? Prelimins are on Friday for teams that didn't previously qualify at regionals. Not everyone from Prelims advances to compete in Semis on Saturday, and likewise not everyone from Semis advances to Finals on Sunday, except for the Worlds qualifying divisions. I wish they would post the schedule for Prelims, and then a partial schedule for Semis on Saturday with the teams that have already advanced from Regionals and the Worlds qualifying divisions.
Absolutely right Legand Babe!Your team would have been right up there! The scores were SUPER close.. Can't wait to see you guys at USA..Work it!! Your team has been working so hard at it shows!! Congrats on your bid!
everyone seems to be giving one of the paid bids automatically to a small senior team. i think people are forgetting several points.
- usa is giving out 2 paid bids to four senior divisions. they say they are giving out to the winners of those divisions but that it could be passed down if the scores support it and if they feel that is the right thing to do.
- of the other 3 senior divisions there are some really good teams there. i predict that desert storm will win the large senior, so cal elite the small limited, and american the large limited. so cal already has a paid bid but desert storm and american are in my eyes, strong teams and very capable of taking those paid bids.
- in order for teams to win small senior they have to still beat cheerforce who has shown so far to be the best in california if you look at the comps they have attended and pac who has been both consistent and strong. pac has only been beaten by cheerforce and east elite if im not mistaken. so would usa take the paid bid and pass it down to the third place team or would they take it and give it to a division winner in another division?
- people are writing off victory, and i don't know why. i think its obvious to the youtube eye they dont have the same skills. but in case people forgot, at cheerpros they beat both magic and fierce and took third to oc and ca. if there is a scoresheet that usa is closest to i would say its cheerpros.
- we can say "if they hit" all day long but with a 40/60 you have to hit twice or your gonna get beat. truthfully, i havent seen any team in that small senior division hit two days in a row. just because your stunts stay in the air it doesnt mean you hit. ive seen every team bobble, touch down, fall, and more at every comp ive seen them at.

Pac and Cheerforce already have full Paids. I believe that they will pass it down to 3rd if the score is higher than the score of the winner of the other division. So I am told. But don't quote me on that.
No one is counting anyone out...Everyone is just getting excited and the BUZZ is about the competition between Small Sen.5 all girl. (at least that is what I am hoping all this is about..I don' think anyone would intentionally be MEAN..) I believe it is anyone's game. But truthfully, Magic has been the cleanest lately.Since Spirit Sport they have really poured it on. Dallas First day had 2 small deductions (one because one of the girls had a BAD sprained ankle hit her tumbling perfectly and tripped herself after Pyramid..) and second day had zero deductions.
EVERYONE has had deductions some bigger that others, but this weekend it is all about sticking your routine...
Victory or OC could do VERY well. I am not counting them out at all...That is why Small Senior is so EXCITING!!There is SOOOOO much TALENT...
