I did go back to Varsity and watch. CA had a great clean routine. There is diffifulty. But really! there better be difficulty in EVERYONES routine at level 5. I wouldn't go as far as to say MAXING out score sheet though. Let's look at the stunt sequence for instance..in the stunt sequence Magic has twisting flips, to full ups to heel stretch, to scorpians (one straight leg scorpian in the back center..OUCH..She doesn't have a spine I thinkwink.gif)...to Tick tock to scale to double down...Okay pretty difficult and landed those perfectly..Not sloppy at all as you suggest...I could go further and put CA's Stunt sequence against Magics but I'm not going to do that because 1)I have laundry to do and 2) It doesn't matter... Don't take everything so personal...(as someone else said) CA needs to be confident in their own routine as Magic needs to be confident in theirs. All TEAMS are incredible in their own right...But be careful not to point everyone's faults out...People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks...

I really hope CA does hit it both days..Really...When they hit their routine they are amazing to watch...As is ANY Team...I hope all the teams do their personal best. THAT is what this is all about...Make this competition the best yet!!! And when Worlds comes I hope that ALL TEAMS FROM THE WEST COAST can cheer eachother on. I know that is what I want for my daughter. To be a good sport...to be gracious when her team wins or loses...biggrin.gif

Sorry - I don't have a schedule so thought Prelims were on Friday.  The USA website says the competition is March 13-15, so is Friday individuals?  Where did you get the competition times from for Magic?  Do you have a complete schedule?

the california all star website already has the time their 2 teams compete also. I emailed usa and asked when the schedule will be posted and they said it has already came out. It was sent to the contact person for each gym. So i guess it wont be online confuse

wow, a lot is going on in my head after reading 2 pages of arguing posts
teams will be fighting for their last shots at bids (paid or at large)
i truly believe those paids could go to anyone
guess we'll have to wait and see

excited to see cheerforce, who has been hiding most of the season
and i heard PAC made some changes...hopefully good ones :)

I'd love to see lots of solid routines...
sneak preview for worlds!

And the lower level teams have been left out :/
Not really sure who's against who, but goodluck to all of you!!!!

I'm on MAGIC small 5 and as much as i love how people are backing us up.. I also don't like how people are already predicting who's going to do well based on previous competitions. You can't predict cheer leading, a team that you thought would do amazing could totally fall apart and a team that you thought wouldn't do as well could do amazing..it's all up in the air, thanks for all your support and my team really wants that paid bid not just for the money part but for being able to say we're good enough to get a paid bid. It really defines the team and the coaches, magic has never gotten a paid before and our team this year is really good so we do have a good chance but so does CA and i really like their routine this year no matter how many double fulls we throw or they throw both of our teams are doing well this season, and if they get the paid then good for them, there's no need to be a poor sport, all my team can do is go out their and do what we've been doing all year and hit a solid routine and then it's completely out of our hands and into the judges, and because cheer leading is such an undependable sport if the judges like one routine better your out of luck, and my team has come to learn that this year so good luck to CA and all teams. It will be a good POSSITIVE weekend (:

Wow. Many teams have to compete twice on Saturday.
We all know that's tough!
This could give teams that have previously qualified a slight advantage.
Guess we shall see!

Where is saturday's schedule posted? I cant find it on their site anywhere... Can someone help?

Go to USA's website and then go under competitions. Scroll down to the correct competition and then scroll under downloads. The first one should say practice schedual for saturday. they do not have sunday out yet. Hope that helps!!smile
