America's Best

Although this competition was a little on the small side it was a very fun competition with a group of very kind cheerleading gyms and lots of talent.  It was nice to see all the gyms cheering on each other this weekend.  Rebels and UCF were the most supportive to all the teams.

My favorite performances were from ALL STAR ELITE senior open 3. Amazing group of cheerleaders and their routine was so much fun to watch.  Just awesome. Unbelievable the skills this team was throwing up for level 3. Choreography of the routine was amazing.
UCF Mini were too cute and hardcore... and their senior open level 4 team was WOW! What a bunch of talented cheerleaders in that group. Had to be my top team to watch with all star elite coming in very close as my second favorite.
A very small group of cheerleaders from Reaction were fun to watch and have a group of talented cheerleaders for the number they had on the floor. I LOVE THEIR UNIFORMS. The colors are great and all the girls on that squad were very sweet.  Hope to see them at more competitons. All of us were rooting for this small squad. Great job ladies.
Rebels girls were really nice as well.  Love their Junior squad(??).. Their level 4 team has tons of potential.

The overall competition ran smoothly except awards took forever for such a small competition.  But it was nice to see all the teams on the mat together and genuinely cheering for other teams when they placed.

The vip seating was perfect and every gym was respectful of this.  They allowed us to take our own pictures and videos and still had action stop there to purchase professional ones. All of us parents appreciated that.

Overall a fun competition with a great group of gyms there and wishing every single one of them the best.

Couldn't agree more about the competition. very nice with great sportsmanship from all teams. UCF was definatley the largest organization with some great teams. All Star Elites teams are always excellent. Too bad they are up in Placerville or my daughter would be with them. Superb routines and almost impossible to beat. I also liked Alpha and Omegas senior 3 team. Much fun.
Excellent Competition.

I did not enjoy this comp, it was to small to be a national there were like 5 allstar teams there so it was boring

The only part I liked was the individuals

And the cool hoodies they get

But maybe next year it will be bigger ?

I took my daughter to this competition on Sunday (my daughter is competing in Vegas next weekend,  I can't wait to get out of this bad weather)   my daughter has lots of friends on a team that attended.  I have to say I really liked the event.  The event was on time and very professional.  This was the first time that the memorial auditorium was well lit and not so gloomy and it was crazy weather out there.  The awards took time to photograph all the first place finishers and all the individuals.  VERY COOL!

I have to say I really enjoyed the teams that attended this weekend.  All Star-Elite, Rebels, and UCF cheered for just about every single team.   They showed a great deal of sportsmanship this week.  I don't know what their coaches are saying in the gym but I would think the coaches are teaching them something right.  Way to go coaches!  I also enjoyed seeing these teams come out of the shadows of those gyms that have been such a strong and dominating presence for so many years past.   I really do believe these gyms are getting stronger and stronger and will be the front runners for the future.

I really enjoyed the routines by all the all-star gyms this weekend.

All Star Elite - fantastic showing this weekend.  Your two teams shined this weekend.  Congratulations on your two paid bids and the most entertaining award.

Rebels - Great showing by your two younger teams this weekend.  Those teams were so very excited to win their divisions.  Oh and way to go on your Best Fans award.   I have to ask who is the little girl on your level 4 that screamed super loud when her ending pyramid hit at the end?  That reaction was so very, very cute and genuine it gave me chills.

Alpha Omega - why is it that you only have one team?   You need more teams, it's obvious that you are coached well and your Senior 3 reflected that.  Congratulations on your paid bid to US finals as well.

Reaction -  Are you new to cheer this season?   I have never seen you.  This was my first time.  Your uniforms looked great on the floor.  You definitely took some time to make sure no one else had those colors.  It seems like your teams is really sweet and cares for each other.   Hope the girl that left the floor injured is ok and it wasn't anything serious.

University Cheer Force - Your gym has really stepped up this season.  All your teams and individuals have really show great all around cheer skills.  The individuals routines were very creative and really showed off great jumps, motions, and technically sound tumbling.  I really appreciate seeing girls set high in their tumbling, watching girls with fantastic skills.   I have to shout out to the last girl that performed her individual.  Amazing all around cheerleader!  She is perfect in just about every element of cheer.  She could run a clinic on how to perform jumps.  WOW!    The teams all looked great.   Your minis are so very cute.   The Senior 4 team is just amazing!   Congratulations on your Grand Champion award it was well deserved.

Yes this competition was very small for a Nationals. But I think the all star teams that were there did a fantastic job in their own way. UCF again was just wow all the way around. ALL STAR ELITE was absoultely AMAZING. I totally forgot about alpha and omega who had a great showing as well. Sorry Alpha. Reaction was fun to watchfor a small group. Rebels had great energy through out the competition. Fun fans to be around. It is not the gyms who were in attendance fault the competition was small. I think america's best did a fantastic job at keeping the environment fun and competitive for a small competition. Im sure the size has to do with the economy and so many competitions to choose from at this time of the season. Looking forward to UCA to see most of these teams compete again.
I think all the teams did a wonderful job this weeekend. They kept the energy up and the sportsmanship was absouluetly amazing. The individuals who performed were all great. I especially loved the little girl from UCF I think her name was anna or hannah. She was the cutest little thing and so much fun to watch. Very talented little girl.

Great job to all the teams including the high school teams that were there.

What has happened to AB?  Sadcry We went to watch our niece.  It was a very small competition. The best part of it was that we had not trouble finding a seat because the place was empty.  I wonder why the large gyms such as Cheer Gyms, Power or Royals Did not attend.  I remember only a few years ago when my daughter went to AB they were competing until midnight.  They had only about 7 all star gyms in total at this competition last weekend.  I am so glad my daughters team did not go because the cost to attend this competition from what we remember was pretty expensive.  Most of the teams had no competition.  I think that I can name all the All Star Cheer teams that attended All Star Elite, Rebels, UCF, Alpha Omega, Reaction, and Sierra Spirit that is it. 7 Gyms and not much competition.  It seems like everyone that went won first place and probably got a bid to the Nationals.  This is what I dont like, because this means if all first place gets a bid then even if they dont have competition they win and get a jacket and go to nationals.  They should earn it through a minimum ranking to prevent the new all level compeitions from being just another national.

It would have been nice to see some more Individual performers.  Does anyone know why we only see UCF and Royals doing these? Very rarely do you see any other gyms doing individual competitions such as Swat.  I enjoyed the younger girls the best because they are so adorable.  That was a tough one to judge because they were both so close to the same.  I seems the scores were all within like 2/10 of a point.  With the exception of this one girl from Royals.  Did anyone see that gymnast from Royals? She was awesome biggrinbiggrinbiggrin Now that is some serious tumbling..She was the show stopper. She was in the older division.  What does it cost to do Individuals?  I personally would not pay 500.00 for entry fees for my daughter to do an individual especially if she is not going to have any competition.  How much do they pay?

I hope next year AB will pick up.  Does anyone have any comment on why none of the larger gyms with the exception of All Star attended?

Individuals normally pay $50-$75 per competition.  We used to do them for a long time.

Well that is not bad at all. I am glad to hear that. I was wondering about the cost. I guess it is great experience and practice. May I ask why your gym stopped doing them?

Sure, to be truly honest, I wanted to focus more on team and less on individuals, at the same time I think after many years of extra practice, extra money and extra strain on muscles and bodies the girls just were done as well.  =)  It is a great experience for me and the girls that participated.

Thank you so much to those of you who have commented on Rebels performances this weekend at America's Best.  We are so proud of our three squads.  I would especially like to thank the other teams that attended, including the teams in our divisions, that were so kind and supportive to our teams.  I was lucky enough to meet the owner from Sierra Spirit...we are looking forward to seeing them again at competition.  Congratulations to Rocklin Thunder...their Youth was outstanding!  UCF and All Star Elite...what can I say...you ladies run the most wonderful, supportive programs around!!!!  It was genuinely wonderful to be surrounded by friends this weekend.

Cudos to America's Best!!!  What a great competition!  Our families were not looking forward to the event...Valentine's weekend, the Amgen Bike Tour, two days, low team attendance.  And boy did we have a FANTASTIC TIME!  So professional, organized, and well judged/scored.  Honestly, it reminded me of competitions from when we first started cheer...small enough to get to know the teams attending and not spend the ENTIRE DAY in uncomfortable seats.  Yeah - the big competitions are great, but the smaller ones have their place, too.  Thank you to America's Best for recognizing our cheerleaders and parents as the BEST FANS.  That was a first for us, and so nice to finally be noticed.

To MyOpinionOnly:  That little girl on our Senior Open 4 team happens to be my daughter, Katy.  Thank you for noticing and commenting on her enthusiasm.  This squad is very young and has struggled through a lot of set backs this season...which showed in our Saturday performance.  Sunday was such an improvement for them, and then Katy landed her her first standing back tuck in competition!  We can only go up from here!!!

Good luck to everyone as we finishing out this fantastic season!

Well, Royals is discouraged from posting on these boards due to obvious drama reasons but that's my girlfriend Desirae and she read that and called me ecstatic to see that someone had finally posted some good about her/Royals, they put in too much hard work to be bashed all the time like that.

Thank you for the warm heart =]
