It looked to me like there were only 20 or so senior level 5 teams at the comp that didn't have bids....and they gave out 15 total....I think only a handful walked away without one.
yeah, pretty much everyone already had a bid!
But wait!! last i checked POWER sm 5 didnt have a bid at all.. so how in the heck did the 18th and 19th place teams get one before them who placed 8th? thats the only reason why i caught that cause i was wondering about POWER.
Woah! Thats a good question??? They could have possibly said they would only accept a paid
Yeah, I am like TOTALLY scratching my head about how CheerGyms got an At Large bid and not Power? What is the criteria for getting At Large bids awarded???
AT-LARGE BIDSOnce the PAID bids have been secured, NCA will award 10 AT-LARGE bids to the next 10 overall highest scores within these divisions (to include Level 5 Semi-Limited Coed). In the event that any of these 10 teams have a previously earned AT-LARGE bid from another event producer, NCA will move the extra bid(s) to the next overall highest score(s) within these divisions.

who are you saying that ca stole from?? i thought it was pretty original but yes, by that point of the routine it didn't look all to solid i'm sure it will look better by worlds
as for POWER i'm definitely confused...are you saying they got a bid in dallas?
also, if anyone finds dallas videos on youtube please post them because i cannot stand how they only show half the routine, what's that about? lame

LOVE EACHOTHERR
Ohh ah ahh
Just checked the usasf.net website and Power DOES NOT have an awarded bid at all. They did not show them on there and all the Duel in the Desert awarded bids are listed. Don't think they have done any other World bid qualifiers before then,
Ok, with all due respect to the teams involved, something is wrong with the system when you place 18th & 19th and get a bid to Worlds.
When it's all said and done every Sr. Level 5 team in the country will probably have a bid to Worlds. Or, at least, maybe a handful will be left out. I think it just verifies that Worlds is just another money maker and they need every team possible to make it happen.
Regardless, congratulations to all of the teams getting bids in Dallas. I'm sure they will pay the money to attend Worlds and it will be a moving experience for them. A heavy pricetag to pay for a life experience. JMO
Congrats to all that won at NCA! We sure wish that we would have been able to go. Sounds like it was bigger than ever before...some say "CheerSport" is the ultimate national...I think NCA is and the most prestigous national.
Why does it seem that when western/west coast based clubs travel in the easterly direction to attend a comp, wins are far and few between?...no jackets for anybody this weekend- unreal.
Like some of the other posts I have read, there maybe should be some sort of new formula for getting the bids...right now, you compete long enough and you will eventually be "in" for Worlds no matter your placement. Of course though teams that get an "at large" bid have to pony up a bunch of money to go, weighing a reality fact of "how good are we really?" OR "Do we really want to spend 20-30 grand for this trip to get 37th place?" Guess there will be...last year our kids main goal was to "just go" to Worlds. It was a big dream for many of them literally, since Worlds began. They would not trade the experience they had there for a million bucks either. But last year they had the partial to help out....this year? Well, people know.
Ok ok hold on. Before you start creating your own hype. Anyone who has youtube can clearly see cali stols all of those trasitions from other teams. In fact in the works I have a video some of us are creating showing original teams doing the same skills cali does way way after. Keep ur eye out on youtube. programs pay lots of money for those skill it sucks to have them just stolen.
k hold on there buddy. lots of teams use things that other teams have used. if you ever see a routine that is 100% original, it'll be the first one. stop causing drama. shut up.

does anyone know where Pride Athletics were in Dallas they usually go every year and Lions there sm senior 5 is my favorite sm senior this year i wanted to know how they would have placed here seeing they got a full paid!
Sorry, but I don't understand what you're asking. Maybe throw in a period or two and I'll do what I can to find out. Thanks.
pride lions: we didnt go this year cant afford it. decided to save the money for worlds instead! wish we would have went though!
i think the 18th and 19th placed teams got at larges because the other teams may have already had bids. i know from my stand point on a team i wouldnt want to place that low and still get a bid. i would feel like i didnt earn it. and no im not trying to start crap but great job to all the teams who placed well and got bids.
