It was great to see such a good turn out for spirit spec. The competition was on time, well run and did not have tons of times between routines. It was fun to see the coaches out there with the level 5 teams. It is a very intense division and sometimes it just needs to be about fun. Kuddos to One, Power and Cheergyms.com for not forgetting why our kids are in this sport. smile

I know that All American was just exhibition, but after both teams performed I sat there and my jaw dropped. Hopefully that was just a bad day.
But I know they will get it together, they always do in the end.

Yes thank god it was only an exhibition. I was in complete shock after both the All-American teams performed.

And seeing all american look like that was just too shocking for me, i usually love watching them perform! but at least we know that it was just a bad day.. cry

although I didn't get to stay through the entire competition due to personal schedule conflicts, I enjoyed what portions of the competition I did attend. Here's a brief list of 5 standouts about the competition for anyone looking to attend in the future:

1. Loved all the staff. They were really helpful and friendly.

2. LOVED LOVED LOVED that they put a focus on the scholarship fund.

3. Although it was small, I somehow really liked the seating lay out.

4. I didn't have to throw away my bottle of water at the door; although, I'm most excited that I got to keep my expensive hair spray =). (my theory is, if I ask my girls to curl their hair, I better be prepared for the unexpected hair mishap and keep em from looking a mess, plus I can spray my hair too LOL.)

5. Every team gets to take a picture with their award =).

i just wanted to say i understand that all american (co-ed especially) had a rough performance, and a lot of you seem super disapointed which is understandable. That was the first time i have seen them this year and besides all the mistakes, hands down i can see that when this routine hits, it will be phenomenal. I think this is the best routine from all american by far and i wish you the best of luck at worlds. So to all the athletes who are on that team, most of us know that you are amazing and just had a rough day, dont get discouraged! I know you will turn it around and do awesome at worlds. BEST OF LUCK ALL AMERICAN!! ILL BE ROOTING FOR YA! ;)

Aww thank you BLL20. Yes, we all know that our performance was not pretty. I'll be sure to tell AA to check this part of the message board, and to not be to hard on themselves. Thanks again! :)
