I hope that is not the case. That would be unfair to the rest of the participants in the competition. I do not blame California. I would blame Spirit Sports for giving special treatment! I hope that is just a rumor
I know . Exactly. But its not a rumor I saw : ( Oh Well, what can ya do?
By the way, I saw Galaxy cheer using the warm up rooms on Friday night so maybe it was offered to teams - for a fee, I am sure.

Most Competition Companies will be very accommodating when it comes to asking for a little time on the mat when the competition is not going on. We've all been through it, whether it be an injury or a recent change you are still unsure of... its a lot safer than taking them out on the grass. I remember seeing a few teams get mat time during breaks and even the night before during American Championships in Vegas. I'm guessing because of the economy, or what not, competition companies tend to go above and beyond to keep their clients happy. All you have to do is ask... what's the worst that could happen they say, "No". So please, don't get petty or start unnecessary drama.
And "California"... Who ever you are? Please, if you have any questions regarding California All Stars, our coaching staff or ANYTHING that pertains to CA, please call our office and we can further discuss your issues. I think our athletes and coaches deserve a lot more respect than you trying to bash us in a public forum. These are kids and the people that they respect... honestly!

I was wondering why John from POWER doesn't take his International team to Worlds. They have been stunning form the beginning of the season and only get better. Did you see them in Palm Springs? Wow, what a great performance. They deserve more respect!!!!!
Oh we have... We explored every possibility. The truth is, we just do not have enough athletes to field 6 successful worlds teams. That integrity of that team would be diminished. Almost 50% of that team is already going to worlds with, COED, Elite, and Jr Coed. We are trying to find ways to take as many people as possible. That is another reason we went for that bid in vegas, because at that point in the game there was still time and a slim chance we could fill those spots since our small JR 5 team was not going. Now that we are two months away from worlds, financially as well as realistically it is not going to be possible. We did not start this season with any malice intentions... coach Shawn, Tannaz and I made it very clear that our goal for this team was going to be to look good all season and not focus on "Worlds, Worlds, Worlds!!" And If any of the athletes on this team wanted to go to worlds, and if we could make it happen for them, we would. Thus, the cross overs on to these Worlds teams... When this was said at the beginning of the summer, we did lose a couple kids over it, but the ones that did stay worked really hard, and that is why they look the way they do. And if these parents and athletes do not have a problem with it... I don't see what the issue is?
echeercoach wrote:The issue is that people like to complain just to complain. Bottom line is...If the parents were told and the kids were told from the start, then no reason to start talking about it now.

Eddie, I believe as long as I do not resort to vulgarity or name calling then I believe I have a right to post my thoughts and opinions on this message board.
Why is that you feel you have to single me out ? There are plenty of other posters that have shared their opinion with the board. You act as if I am the only one here with an "Issue".
First off thanks for all your kind words...it was a fun weekend for all gyms and i am truely blessed that we recieved a full-paid bid in these economic times...i feel like a lot of good programs put out their best and the subjective part of the sport sometimes shines too much
Troy - Magic - i loved your statement and feel similar sentiments to what you said...i thought you guys did amazing and will be looking for you at worlds...you are a class act for sure
Jon - Power - thanks for your support and i know i said i never post here but after what you said i wanted to thank you...and your program is and always will be one that is respected and great
Kelly- Az Power - you were right and thanks for all the support you give me over the last 2 years...you are a great friend...we love ya!!!
Eric - Desert Storm - thanks for your kind words after awards
Tanaz, Shawn & Jeff - CA - i do believe you guys do amazing things and anyone can see it...keep up the good work and i thank you for the friendship you have shown me...i also thank you for the bid...we will be looking to battle on the mat and not on the boards...i feel like a lot of the resentment people feel is due to the fact that you win and do it within the rules the USASF has established...i know your kids and they are great and dont deserve the abuse...i am a coach and an owner who looks forward to competition against you and i know i need to bring it or i wont stand a chance and it motivates me and my teams...thank you
Robbie - thanks for the dance it killed!!
this sport is about our girls and it wont always go our way but as long as we all carry ourselves in a honorable light and leave it on the floor we will have success...thank you to all who have said kind words about my program and look forward to competing against these great programs in the weeks ahead.

California---it is very apparent you were from cheerforce which explains a lot of the reason you keep going on about this. What happened at this event was within the usasf rules as well as what happened at grand. You are being singled out because you seem to keep coming back all defensive. As for *your* it seems as if it was more of a general statement towards anyone who may have a problem. Just because it may have quoted you, it is pretty much addressing everyone. It is made clear the coaches have no problem discussing what happened at both events over the phone. If you(as in anyone) care that much...call them.
How ever you get there, you get there. It's all about what your team does once your at worlds that matters. Maybe they have had some bad luck so far. But they might blow your socks off at Worlds. Who knows... Good luck to everyone who has a bid.
How ever you get there, you get there. No I disagree with this statement. The "Journey" to worlds is important too. Why would any gym owner want to take away the "Spotilght" from those teams. This was their MOMENT TO SHINE and it was taken from them out of arrogance and selfishness.
It's all about what your team does once your at worlds that matters. Once you get to worlds then it will come down to whoever hits their routine the best. Maybe they have had some bad luck so far. But they might blow your socks off at Worlds. Who knows... Good luck to everyone who has a bid.
I've said it 3 times now but obviously you are choosing to ignore it.....BEAT THE TEAM AND THEN YOU GET TO HAVE ALL THE SPOTLIGHT YOU WANT!! If you would have just done this then you would have no complaints so DO IT!!
Any gyms out there that would like a handed down FULL PAID BID? Or would you not want it since you didnt get the "spotlight"?
I've said it 3 times now but obviously you are choosing to ignore it..... Just as you are choosing to ignore the FACT that they purposely CHOSE to compete in a NON WORLDS DIVISION knowing that they NEVER INTENDED to use the bid.....BEAT THE TEAM AND THEN YOU GET TO HAVE ALL THE SPOTLIGHT YOU WANT!! If you would have just done this then you would have no complaints so DO IT!! I cant do this when I wasn't competing in that division and my child is no longer cheering.
Any gyms out there that would like a handed down FULL PAID BID? Or would you not want it since you didnt get the "spotlight"? You just refuse to step away from the Koolaid....DONT YOU !
If you no longer have a child cheering, you shouldn't let CA or any other gym affect you so much; especially since you are not involved.
Again good luck to all the California based Worlds teams. My cheerleaders and I will be routing for you from home.
Bladezmom,
With all due respect I would like to say to you that just because I no longer have a child cheering does not make my opinion or thoughts any less valid.
Does a football fan have to have a child participate in the Super Bowl in order for him/her to get pumped up and excited about his/her favorite sport ?
Is the football fan not allowed to communicate on a football message board with other football fans just because he/she doesn't have a child on the football team ?
I knew as soon as I let it be known that my child no longer cheered, someone would come along and make this statement.
Why do feel that it is okay for you to tell me that I should no longer be affected just because my child is no longer cheering.... that I should no longer be allowed to voice my opinion just because you think so ?
I am not angry or upset with you for saying this. I just want to know why people on message boards feel that it is their duty to inform other posters of who, what, and when they should be allowed to post or not to post.
I am only directing this at you because you directed your post to me in regards to my child no longer cheering. If it wasn't you it would have been someone else.
Respectfully yours
California-
It's obvious that you have a passion for the sport, however, your opinions and statements come across as harsh and bordering on slander. Unless you are on the staff or are an owner of a program, you cannot say for certain what the intentions or goals of the program truly are. You are making accusations that are contrived by your opinion only. I say that with no malice, but a true observation of the posts you have made specifically against CA.
I made this statement to you because you are no longer involved with All-Star cheer, and if that were me...I wouldn't give a hoot about what is happening at which ever competition. I may not agree with results, as judging is subjective. But I wouldn't be so inclined to voice my opinion in any forum as I couldn't imagine anyone would really want to hear from me since I'm not involved. I say that with all due respect.
With that being said, we see matter differently and that is the beauty of living in America.
Cheer4life101....thank you oh so much for your opinion. We are all VERY happy with our choice and VERY proud of how well our teams did in Palm Springs. Btw...we only took 3 of our 7 teams to Palm Springs....I'd have to say 7 teams is a very impressive size for a first year gym....keep watching....there is much more to come!

California---it is very apparent you were from cheerforce which explains a lot of the reason you keep going on about this. Now really what does that have to do with my opinion ? It's really quite insulting that you would insinuate that I do not have a mind of my own. I see what you are doing here. It's called smoke and mirrors.
What happened at this event was within the usasf rules as well as what happened at grand. My problem here is CA arrogance. Before American Championships one of the coed boys told me that small coed was competing in the worlds division.BTW...This was way before there was a performance order.
I asked him why since he had just told me that they were not going to worlds. He said,"Because were going to take it.... because we can."
You are being singled out because you seem to keep coming back all defensive. As for *your* it seems as if it was more of a general statement towards anyone who may have a problem. I am not defensive at all I only asked a question that you have taken upon yourself to answer. If I want to call them.... I will.
I will also continue to post my opinion on here whether you approve of it or not.
It's obvious that you have a passion for the sport, however, your opinions and statements come across as harsh and bordering on slander. Maureen I'm sorry you feel that way. Perhaps my words may have seemed harsh and therfore I will take great care in the future with how I express my opinions. My words are hardly slanderous and I think you know this....Agressive perhaps ,but definately not slanderous. Unless you are on the staff or are an owner of a program, you cannot say for certain what the intentions or goals of the program truly are. Hopefully you have read from the reply above this of the way I have formed my opinion. You are making accusations that are contrived by your opinion only. Maureen I understand why you would think this but I formed my opinion based on a private conversation that I had with a CA athlete. Was I pissed off about it ? ...YES I was...
I say that with no malice, but a true observation of the posts you have made specifically against CA.

With that being said, we see matter differently and that is the beauty of living in America. Absolutely
I think someone who has been around all-star cheer for awhile and has a passion for it - even though their kids are no longer involved - might just be a wealth of information. Their opinion and knowledge could be an eye opener, whether we agree with them or not.
