Hello Troy, Magic Coach. For the record, those comments were made after awards and yes, I was very near you and most definitely heard you. In fact my entire team was near and heard. Now as far as the judging went, I believe that Spirit Sports hires very well respected and knowledgable judges who have no ties to CA Allstars. We all have friends in the industry who at times are judges. Regardless of friendships, etc.; people need to let it go and not question their integrity. And since you are, why do you spend your families hard earned money to go? 90% of the time coaches disagree with the judges... I quess this happens to coaches who loose 90% of the time. Troy, I encourage you to review your routine and the performance of such for both days, honestly and without bitterness and see if you truly don't agree with the judges decisions. Also, I'm not surprized by the comments made by the Fierce Coach. I encourage her to do the same. If there is any friendship where there is a bias it is that one. The comments made on this board from her are evident and I would expect nothing less. And finally, Shawn, I find your comments odd but not surprising considering your behavior at practices. You know exactly what I am talking about. Just remember, actions speak louder than words. Not everyone is drinking your Kool-aid. Please don't take what I am saying out of context. I know exactly what I am talking about and I think people should be careful when making comments that are implying things that they know are simply not true or right. It makes my blood boil and when I see this, I sometimes can't let it go by without at least attempting to show another side or to set the record straight. Let the bashing begin...

You are the worst kind of liar.  You were no where near me or my team and for you to say that is rediculous!  Was I upset sure, did I or my athletes or my parents express that disapointment sure.  I know who I am and if you like me or don't I could care less.  Anyone that knows me knows that you are a liar.  You spred rumor and inuendo without regard for anyone else then you hide behid anonymous. You know nothing of me or my team and unless you are prepared to aproach me at an event or set up a meeting with me keep your mouth shut!  You are a coward.
Why can I not have an opinion on the Judging?  And just because I disagree does not mean that I think the judges are unqualified or that Spirit Sports has a bad judging system.  And never in my comment back to you did I insunuated that there was a California Allstars bias.  I firmly believe that as a coach for 12 years, a national judge, and a cheer enthusiast I am qualified to form an opinion and in my opinion on this one day my team, with eqaul strength of routine, executed better and should have scored higher.  Never did I question the integrety of the Judges or Spirit Sports.  I simply started my opinion.

Again I offer the challenge what skill in the other routines that I mentioned was not done by my team?  Skill for skill you can go down the list and they are very similar.  Now if in YOUR OPINION one of those two teams is better then I will graciously allow your opinion to be just as valid as mine!

Quick question how and why does cali small small coed think its ok for their coaches to decline not one but two paid bids to worlds just to allow their large coed team to take it. There is no way I would allow my child to be at that gym. That's $25000.00. I wonder if they even told anyone that they didn't accept the bids. But tonight we all heard it. Unacceptable

Small coed turned down 2 paid bids?? I thought it was only this one. paid and 1 at large. I know it sucks for the people that arent on other teams that are going to get 2 bids and have to turn them down. I dont think i could take that either. But arent most of them on other teams anyway?? So i guess it dosent matter they get to go anyways hmm

they have to. all the boys are crossovers on unlimited coed. so only one can go since there is no crossovers allowed at worlds. i dont know if anyone already answered this question, i just thought i would let you know, cause when we got cali's unlimited bid instead of their small coed we required an explanation before we got too excited hahah.

oh, just one more comment. I dont mean to cause any drama or anything. This whole thing with fierce and magic? i think that's who it is, with power xtreme and what not? i wouldnt worry about it too much. i'm on power xtreme's small coed and we had zero deductions the first day and west coast mavericks and CA allstars both had deductions (i'm pretty positive, although i did not see their score sheets) and we were placed third after the first day because they gave us 8's on showmanship and crowd appeal, and we had full points on difficulty. i'll post the video from 2008cheerfan. I just want other's opinions... do you think we lacked showmanship and crowd appeal? enough to be scored 7's and 8's? i think its out of 11? i forget.

i'm not going to say anything about favorites exactly, but i do not think the scoring system was fair.

My daughter is on the small senior team from Magic and we were both overlooking these comments and were very upset that someone would make up such a thing about our team and our coach for cheerfan who was saying Troy said we got jipped that is incorrect Troy never said such a thing but another coach did come up to our girls and say "magic you were jipped" and I believe that's what you heard. Everyone is intitled to their own opinion and we had ours. My daughter and I watched Ca and Azpower and there is nothing  they had that we didn't so your also wrong about that. We are happy with our outcome and earning a bid we are in no way dissapointed despite our beliefs about the placement. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Thankyou

Great job Power Exteme. It is unfortunate that CA was allowed to sit on that bid for over 3-weeks before they declined it. I am not sure how or why this was allowed since bids are suppose to be accepted or declined within 72 hours once they are received. I guess they were trying to fill their large unlimited roster with more boys and couldn't do it in 72 hours or 3 weeks. And the awarding competition didnt uphold the 72-hour rules. After their large co-ed passed up the bid, it went to their small-small, which was declined too because of the crossover of boys. At least CA didnt wait another 3 weeks to decline that bid.

Congrats on receiving that bid. You are a class-act organization and deserve to be at worlds. You should have been celebrating 72 hours after that comp not a month later. Good luck at Worlds. I know you will do great!!!

California....Were you there when the phone call came in?  Just because nobody felt the need to announce not taking the bid to the whole rest of the cheer world on the message boards doesnt mean you should make accusations towards a team you arent on. Being on a team that hasnt gotten a full paid bid we would have been happy to celebrate 72 hours or the night before Worlds later to get one....HELLO!!!!  Are you bitter about getting a FULL PAID BID 3 WEEKS LATER?? FOR REAL?  Or how about you just beat them, both teams that declined so that it could be passed, on the floor and then you could have celebrated that night?  Not said sarcastically at all but really come on!

Congratulations TO ALL BID WINNERS!!

Why do you care what division anybody is in....didnt you get your bid?? All you have to do is BEAT the teams you are talking about on the floor and then you wouldnt have to complain about anything!!!  ENJOY YOUR BID!!!

because they would rather compete against people and win then not compete against anyone and win. stop complaining they gave you a bid, you should be happy

No I agree. The scoring system was fair according to the rubric, it was how the judges scored that wasnt fair.

Another thing that was not fair was how one special team got to practice Friday night in the warm up room with all the doors locked. : / Yeah Maybe they needed it. But let everyone else too.
