RE: SPIRIT SPORTS (DUEL AT THE DESERT)

Just something funny..

I was looking over my small 4 score sheets and started cracking up laughing. All our score sheets are all printed DUEL IN THE DESSERT.

lol.smile

OK, so they didn't have more boys on Sunday? These people were either seeing things or lying? This stuff never stops, "they had six more boys.., they pushud out Magic... etc." My guess is that as the Magic coach was saying after Sr 5 awards, "we were jepped" and this attitude has trickled down to his kids and parents. Thus the tone of the comments posted. Either CA did or didn't (have the extra boys), sm sr 5 should have been 3rd because they stuck (nothing else matters) etc. I don't know about the boys, it is hard to understand where they suddendly got 6 extra boys but I saw the sm 5 division and there was so much more to everyone of the top 4 than a dropped stunt. Really, do yourself a favor and stop drinking the Kool-aid. Yes, Fierce has come a long way and should continue along their current path but as for Magic, unless you wake up and stopped the blame game, you'll continue to place in the shoulda, coulda, woulda spot.

I'm sorry but i watched the whole division too and magic definitely should have been placed higher than 5th.. besides the fact they hit.. they were BOMB!! energy was crazy, stunts were crazy and tumbling was right up there with everybody in the top 4! in my own personal opinion as ive also read some other posts on here.. CA was definitely favored at this comp. and it was fustrating. senior elite is an amazing group of talented girls, but i dont think they should have placed as high as they did... especially after the 1st day. granted they were better on the 2nd day but no.. magic should have definitely been placed higher. just my opinion.

call me crazy but i just didnt understanmd some of the scores. aa all girl hit an awesome routine the first day with minimal deductions and placed 8th, a reasonable placing. The next day the hit an even better routine, and dropped 2 places while power small moved up after dropping 2 days. Also, i want to congratulate all american coed for moving from 6th place to getting a bid the next day. Great job to all teams amzing weekend!

AA All Girl was in 10th place after prelims and stayed in 10th after day 2 was complete.

Congrats to everyone on a fun weekend.  The west coast has come a long way and should be proud.

Just something random for everyone... When California's large senior 4 won their division and walked up to take their picture with the banner, the "DJ" at the competition played "California Love." Just that part of the song and then shut it off. Funny!

You're funny Megan  Are you trying to insinuate some kind of preferential treatment for CA?  Don't be silly!  wink

Thankyou Troy for saying that because it's true and I'm glad someone feels the same way I do.. Magic did get jipped and I made sure to tell them as well after awards.. they we're incredible to watch maybe the best I've ever seen them they had so much energy and even though there were a few touch downs the one thing I noticed as I was right up in front cheering them on the girls that fell touchdowns never showed it on there face they got right back up and smiled as if It never happened and in this division there was not ONE team that hit a PERFECT routine but if anyone was close it was magic.. as for CA I have my own opinions on there gym.. They were good but not 3rd place worthy.. That's our sport of cheerleading and the judges descisions 90% of the time I don't agree with neither does any other coach

To Adam:
OMG you crack me upppppppp! Tranny! You guys love that word, but then again, so do we. :) LOL. And as for my feet, they're still hurting from two days of pumps. The price we pay to look good. Ugh. LOL. Thanks for the comments about senior 4's dance section. We still have a lot of cleaning to do with it, so look for more Fierce "Supermodel" dance sections.

To Troy:
I talked to you after awards and you know exactly what I think. Keep workin' those kids because at Worlds your difficulty will pay off. :) You looked the best I've seen from you both days! Congrats!!!

Whew what a weekend in Palm Springs! SS just keeps getting bigger and bigger!

I just wanted to say that we had a blast there and say a congrats to CA, Magic, and Fierce in Sm Sr. 5! We look forward to seeing all of the west coast based clubs at Worlds that have a bid in that category...and the others of course!
Also, a big thanks to Kelly at AZ Power for making my daughter laugh so hard when she was talking cheer! She busted up all over again on the way back home talking about it.

Shawn...that short haired blonde girl in the center of the PAC dance? Yep...that's my kid!smile

Oh, that pesky little Lion squad!

Hello Troy, Magic Coach. For the record, those comments were made after awards and yes, I was very near you and most definitely heard you. In fact my entire team was near and heard. Now as far as the judging went, I believe that Spirit Sports hires very well respected and knowledgable judges who have no ties to CA Allstars. We all have friends in the industry who at times are judges. Regardless of friendships, etc.; people need to let it go and not question their integrity. And since you are, why do you spend your families hard earned money to go? 90% of the time coaches disagree with the judges... I quess this happens to coaches who loose 90% of the time. Troy, I encourage you to review your routine and the performance of such for both days, honestly and without bitterness and see if you truly don't agree with the judges decisions. Also, I'm not surprized by the comments made by the Fierce Coach. I encourage her to do the same. If there is any friendship where there is a bias it is that one. The comments made on this board from her are evident and I would expect nothing less. And finally, Shawn, I find your comments odd but not surprising considering your behavior at practices. You know exactly what I am talking about. Just remember, actions speak louder than words. Not everyone is drinking your Kool-aid. Please don't take what I am saying out of context. I know exactly what I am talking about and I think people should be careful when making comments that are implying things that they know are simply not true or right. It makes my blood boil and when I see this, I sometimes can't let it go by without at least attempting to show another side or to set the record straight. Let the bashing begin...

Troy no matter what "CheerFan" says I have got you and your small senior's back because you were absolutely amazing this weekend and even without a better placement you were rewarded with a bid to worlds and actually deserve it. Congratulations and please let your girls know they deserved it and to keep there heads high because I've never seen Magic so good. With hard work and dedication your team can definetly be up there with the top teams at worlds. GO MAGIC!
