i thiiiiink we're going [fierce]... we go every year =) see yall there! cant wait
YES! We will be there! I personally love JAMZ. It is expensive, BUT they put on a great show, and judge fairly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. My family and I look forward to JAMZ every year.
I dislike jamz nationals its way to long, and I don't like their judging we had teams winning that shouldn't have=( I'm not bashingg its just my oppinion,

What programs and teams are going to be attending JAMZ in Vegas feb 18th-23rd 2009??
West Coast Mavericks will be going:)
Its a 5 day comp ? Why so long
Thursday, Feb 19th - All-Star / Studio Dance Divisions Friday, Feb 20th - Tiny, Mini and Youth Divisions (1st & 2nd performances for Mini & Youth) Saturday, Feb 21st - Junior (Coed), Senior (Coed), International (Coed), Open (Coed). (1st performance for all teams) Sunday, Feb 22nd - Junior (Coed), Senior (Coed), International (Coed), Open (Coed). (2nd performance & awards)
This year they are having all Junior and Senior teams perform twice. I agree it is a long competition, however, the added day helps ease the pain of the comp/spectator entry fees. I also agree with your other post about the judging. Last year at JAMZ nationals on dance day the judging was awful, however, cheer we felt was right on, at least in our divisions. Sometimes JAMZ judging can be right on and very helpful with their comments and other days their judging will be so off, writing things like "ride to the top in your kick full" when you don't have kick fulls.....Or saying a level 1 team needs back handsprings. Both things have happened to us. BUT we have also had some amazing helpful comments and judging. I find (IMO only) when JAMZ staff judges, the scores, placings and comments are more right on and consistant and when they bring in outside judges thats where the "off" judging comes from...Anyone else notice this??
Anyways, we are hoping for an amazing competition!!
Fierce...we cannot wait to see all your teams, epecially your special needs!!!
wow all level 4 teams are two days also? it used to be just teams who qualify for bids (aka only 5)....so does that mean their giving bids to the all level worlds too this year? or they just want to see level 4 twice?

All Juinor & Senior teams level 1-5 compete twice. They are giving bids to Worlds, IALC and Dance Worlds.
