Viv must be a parent because she doesn't have a clue as to what is going on and how crossovers work. Before you go flapping your keyboard, what do you say you get an understanding of the rules? Sorry to be rude but this really burns me! Cheating? Give me a break!

For all you newbie's Yes I get the crossover thing but usually it is only 1 level not two. This is called stacking your team! If other gyms choose to do this thats fine and yes the rules allow it for now. Just wait until they dont! Good luck then!

who cares if they're on level 5... they can still only do level 3 skills in the routine so there really is no advantage
Honestly, who cares?
Most people care it's cheating! It gives the team more tumbling passes and also more bases with extra experience!
Cheating, how so? Educate yourself on the rules. It adds to the team, but it is also alot of stress on the poor coaches, who are trying to help their teams look amazing. And it especially alot of work on the athletes. But they want it, and their folks pay for it, the coaches make it work. so relax. It is not cheating, not at all.
Back to my original question...why didnt California allstars senior level 3 go small? I understand it's allowed (cross overs) and that's fine...since they can only do level 3 skills(which is easy for a level 5 person. This is just a question, not trying to start any drama!

Flapping your keyboard; I love it. I will have to steal that line someday.
For those who feel crossovers leads to "cheating", have you taken it up with USASF? For whatever reason, they don't seem to have the desire to make any changes whatsoever to this.
Cheating...really?? Isn't cheating when you break rules...Aren't crossovers allowed in the USASF rules?? SO where is the cheating exactly?
Crossovers aren't my cup of tea, only beacuse in my experience in crossovers, we always had a hard time warming up the crossovers with both teams. But sometimes crossovers are necessary and more power to you if you can pull it off. Why not make your teams the best they can be in all levels??
Agree, nobody is cheating and it's ridiculous to be accusing any gyms of doing so because they are just playing by the rules. My point was if so many feel it's not right, contact USASF because they obviously don't see anything wrong with it.
As others have mentioned too, I would like to see limits placed. We all understand at times there is a need for them, but half or more than half of your lower level team shouldn't also be on a higher level team; I think that defeats the purpose.
So Viv, if you have a cheerleader or even a few cheerleaders in your gym with level 5 skills, but your gym only has a level 3 team, is placing that cheerleader on your level 3 team cheating also?

AHHHH yes!!! Very good point!! Both Sr teams at my gym are lev 3 and many of our girls have layouts, fulls, double downs, single downs from extended one footed stunts, etc..... Good job beofgoodcheer!!
hahahhahaa woooow so much drama...great job ca jr teams and cf alcatraz...it still amazes me that these kids can do such amazing skills....back in 8th grade i was just so excited because i got my back handspring LOL...
both teams got a "best tumbling award" because they were in separate divisions....there was also the same confusion at the event when people heard that both ca and cf jr. coeds "WON"...CA was going for a worlds bid and was in the worlds division, while CF was not competing for a bid and was in the "non-worlds" division because they have crossovers from rockiez and diamondz.
congrats to both teams and hope this clears everything up lol...
