CA Senior level 3did a great job! Lot's of energy. However, I have a question (not trying to start drama, cause they did the best for Senior 3 and deserved the win) but, can someone from that team or gym confirm if there are a lot of level 5 girls? I overheard someone saying that they were not in warm ups because most of the team is really a level 5 and because they were with that team since they just competed. I know cross overs are allowed, but if it's true that half the team is level 5 cross overs, why wouldnt they just go small level 3? Again, the team did the best and deserved the win...I can see one or two to help base or fill in for someone or something but to throw in that many?? Maybe it was a rumor.....
The team from England was good, and those girls were just so excited...it was cute.
CF had some issues! I think they will do great once they fix them...but they had stunt and tumbling issues.
And CA teams...those teams have some energy! Wow...
I missed Fierce! I wanted to see them....
My favorite was CF Outlawz..those guys really made those tumbling passes look so easy!
There are actually only four kids that cross from junior coed 5 to large senior three. Senior three warmed up with junior coed at the earlier time to not only have a chance to have practice time with the four crossing girls but so that they were able to see small junior 5 and junior coed 5 both compete. Both days they were able too and pretty much walked straight from watching junior coed 5 back out onto the competition floor. I hope this clears everything up. Im glad you asked rather then just making an assumption.
I didn't think that was allowed? How can level 5 kids compete in level 3 and 5?????? That is not right!
Yes, I also heard CF receive the tumbling award in the Junior Coed NON-worlds division. SInce they were not in the worlds division and CA was, maybe that is why they also got the award.
At any rate, congratulations to both teams. You both have wonderful tumbling skills and should be very proud of your programs.

Sounds like this was a great competition to watch! Regarding crossovers, I'm not a fan of them, not at all. But, until the rules change, gyms have every right to take advantage of them if they have members willing to put in the extra time to be on multiple teams.
Ya, not a fan of cross overs just to make your team look better. I can see if they are needed to fill in for someone who might have gotten hurt and couldnt compete, or someone quit right before. But to put them in to make your team look better (whether it be to have more tucks, or a good flyer) is just not right...but it's true, it is allowed, and until they make it different programs will do that.
okay wow cheerforce needs to take the best tumbling award off their site ca jr coed !!! for the last time got it! they need to just get over it!
I was at both awards and was very surprised when CA Jr Coed got the Judges Choice for Tumbling since CF Alcatraz Jr Coed had already received this award about two hours before. Congrats to both teams!!
Also, Congrats to CF Alcatraz on Junior Coed Grand Champions!! You deserved it!
Just wondering what divisions california all stars got bids to worlds in? I saw on their website that they got 5 bids to worlds. I remember reading about small junior, junior coed, small coed, and unlimited coed but what was the last one? Thanks

cali only took 5 level 5 teams, four of which got bids. Small senior did not receive one. The last bid which seems to be causing a lot of confusion for people is the full paid ialc bid that the junior 4 team received.
the only teams that received worlds bids from cali were small junior 5, junior coed 5, senior coed limited 5, and senior coed unlimited 5.

Oh ok that explains alot lol I was confused because it said "5 worlds bids" but one was to the ialc not worlds. Ok thanks

ok technically there are only 2 girls on sr 3 that are on jr coed 5 (not to make the team look better, but they wanted to be on that team so the older one could fly because she cant on jrs, and their sisters so the little one wanted to do it with her sis)
the other 2 girls one is on jr2 because a girl quit and the other just fills in for backspoting on sm coed and sr 3 is her main team
Most team and gyms have crossovers. I child might be used in level 5 as a base but doesnt have the tumbliing skill to have a corner pass in level 5. So they also do level 3 where they can base and also tumble. All level 5 kids came from somewhere they were nt born with fulls. Only time it becomes a problem is at worlds if they are on 2 level 5 teams. I wouldnt wanna be the one who has to explain to a team they cant go to worlds becuase we have to tear your team apart or even worst to thier parents. Congrats to all the pll who got thier bids.
That's what I cant understand. Why wouldnt they go small then, rather than large senior 3? Our program has two cross overs from a level 5 team on our senior 3, and that's only because one of our bases quit right before the vegas comp. And the other was a fill in for someone who couldnt make it. They didnt even tumble, they just based.
Sorry, I know it's allowed, I'm just not a fan of having more than a few cross overs for the RIGHT reasons!
