We really need a huge California Nationals. I've been looking into this for myself, and have wondered what it will take for someone to step up and have multiple stages at a California event. What location would be good to have this event at? (somewhere we haven't been to before?)

I know someone asked me the other day "what is the big nationals on the west coast" and I couldn't give a definitive answer.

The South/East coast has Cheersport.
The midwest/Texas has NCA

We don't really have one national that everyone goes to. USA used to be the big one, but USA does't have a good scoring system for all stars so people go other places unless they want a bid for Worlds.

I think so too.  Great comp, great location.  And they really have a great setup for the teams.

Even though I like the convention center there, I'm not fond of having competitions in Palm Springs. It's a long drive and in the middle of no where. The area seems to be geared more towards adults with money. I have some friends who absolutely love the place to vacation. I'd enjoy Spirit Sports at a different location - like back to San Diego!!!

How can you even compair this to words when like everyone gets a bid and there are like 4 different events?

No not you smile lol I mean just in general. Everyone is saying all level worlds and that they are having a worlds for all levels when its nothing like worlds. And I heard that by contract the winner cant even be called a world champion

I hate Palm Springs because I do not like rubbernecking when I am trying to watch a team. I hate all comps that have level seating.

I'm sure Spirits Sports makes enough money to pay for a better venue, sure the team rooms are nice to have but as a spectator I would much rather have stadium seating then a lame "team room".

it's the IALC, international all level competition, I don't think anyone is comparing it to worlds!

We have done quite a few comps in sd area.  And even though it is pretty it has its areas that are not so desirable.  I like the convention center there and the area.  Clean, doesn't seem to be so city,  like the other areas.  Love the desert, clean and simple.

Every city has less than desirable areas.

I love competitions in vegas and florida,

Well in my oppinion(which proberlly does not matter) I think like 4 or 5 diffrent competition companies to put on like a super nationals that's actually SUPER, you know what I'm saying and have all the teams compete in the same comp,

Well its just my oppinion,

I love that Spirit Sports is in Palm Springs!!! Yeah the drive kinda sucks but comp in the LA are get old and while I love Vegas.... I love that Palm Springs is just a little more mellow. We like to stay by the venue so we can walk back and forth to see the teams we want to watch....plus whee else can your kids swim outside in February??

haha its ok xtreme elite mom. but i agree.. having spirit sports back in san diego would be too much! first of all the roads in san diego are nothing but dangerous and its hard to maneuver (i think thats how you spell it lol) around that city.. too many times when i use to cheer we would have competitions out there and at least 2 members on our team got lost or ran out of gas. im sorry no way would i go to a nationals out there! palm springs is the perfect location and the fact that it is in the middle of nowhere is even better! as for LA.. its dirty, dangerous, and too big of a city to be having innocent cheerleaders out there.. once again no way palm springs is the perfect location!
