Not rumors but fact. I know it may be hard to believe but it's true.

You are right, that is hard to believe so why don't you prove your "facts".

Really ? Now how would you suggest I do that ?
I don't need to prove this to YOU I was there and that is what I heard. So quit being so defensive.

What exactly does that mean?  The question was who was the announcer, not what color he was...  Why is it that when someone discribes a black person they use color but when they are discribing anyone else, it's the lady or the man wearing, standing, sitting, talking about... you get the picture.  Never do I hear, "it's the white lady or the white man..."disbelief

Yes I have to agree... Better words can be used to describe this announcer than he was a black man. no How about you do some research and get a name of who the emcee was for the event.  Otherwise let's just try to be a little more sensitive.   I am certain you didnt mean to be insensitive.  but it would be like someone saying some white chick, mexican guy, jewish guy, or even gay guy was announcing. Im sure you get my point.  Everyone like to be addressed by their name.

now does anyone know the name of the announcer and where he is from?

You guys make it sound like her saying "it was a black guy" is a bad thing. I don't see it as a bad thing- it is one way to identify someone!!! We now know it wasn't a Mexican girl....you hear someone say black guy and you automatically assume she is making a racial comment. I do not see any harm in it.  Are we afraid of pointing out that someone is different from another because of color? Come on....it was far from racist.

My favorite comp is the GSSA SUPER SIX................

It is amazing to watch the top 6 teams go for it and to see the whole cheer world come together to support those 6 teams.

No apology needed. But I'm as well sorry if that came off wrong. I didn't really think about what I exactly remembered as much as I should of. He had big muscles, a hat on, I think he was bald, and was sitting behind the music table.

power deserved the bid. hands down..
placings were off..

Yes scoring was strange. If I recall they did not use score sheets for super 6. Just picked the winning order during a "judges meeting." No deductions, explanations, nothing.
Looking at some of the placements this past weekend, the teams with drops still placed high and some teams with no drops did not. I think GSSA might need to take a better look at how they evaluate teams and division winners. Their score sheets, when they do use them, might not be up to par.

The largest seem to be

American Showcase in Anaheim
Spirit Sports in Palm Springs
Jamz Nationals in Las Vegas
GSSA Nationals
American Grand-sometimes big, depends on the year
USA Nationals- up and down, depends on the year

We really need a huge California Nationals. I've been looking into this for myself, and have wondered what it will take for someone to step up and have multiple stages at a California event. What location would be good to have this event at? (somewhere we haven't been to before?)

The teams with drops that placed high might have made up points in other areas (tumbling, difficulty).   It's easy to water down a routine to make it clean; I'm glad that the winning routines are not always the cleanest.

LA Convention Center.  With the opening of LA Live, the area is hopping.  All kinds of restaurants and entertainment in the area too. That's also where USA Nationals are being held this year.
