Hi All! My name is Alison Warren and I am one of the coaches and co creator for EDGE Allstars here in Elk Grove. I just want to thank some of the few teams (and their coaches) for welcoming our new team with open arms and support. Annette and I built this team with the pasion for cheer and the love for our girls who were moving on to high school's that were not competitive. This was a BIG step for us. We both went into it knowing we would here the negativity. With that said, I want to comment on the post made yesterday regarding EDGE trying to recruit. Im not sure who passed along this negative information to you, Annette and I have no intensions of recruiting. We are very excited for next years season and the growth in our gym, but our one and only priority right now is our senior team. They ARE the reason we are here!
Thank you again to all the great allstar gyms out there!! Annette and I are so happy to see our girls go out and do what they love best!! See you all soon!

You may have just learned your first lesson in the all star world, sweetie.  It's going to important that you do not take advantage of using your cheerleaders as a liaison for your marketing campaign.  It did happen yesterday and more than just one time.   Several parents and cheerleaders has lots to say and could quote the script from which your cheerleaders presented your new Elk Grove program.  It doesn't take very long for the all star cheerleading community to spread what other gyms do and for what reasons they are doing it.  good luck with your senior team and I hope they enjoyed their first step into allstars.  it must be quite different then pop warner football.

Nor Cal Elite- enough crossovers for you? Pheonix and Morpheus are the same kids....not to mention they either cheated a few years ago, or this year...a girl that's been on Sr's and went to worlds is STILL on youth..

I don't mean to sound so negative but... there is absolutely no excuse for mistakes in results.  If Power won that division, they should have had the glory of the celebration on stage, and how equally sad for the team who was so excited to win but would find out later they didn't.   This isn't rocket science, come on.

If this really were an issue, take it up with someone who can verify it.  Otherwise posting accusations here on this board without backing them up with facts are just a continuation of the kind of bashing we hoped to see less of here.

First off, I was not disrespectful in my post and hope that the rest of you would have the same respect. Like I said in my first post, my name is Alison, not "sweetie".
I want to make this VERY CLEAR. Annette and I did not and will not use our girls to "campaign" for our gym. If you heard my girls talking about our gym, I can only assume it was out of pure excitement and pride for their new team. It saddens me to hear hateful rumors being made up about our gym. I rest assure knowing that all of my girls, parents, and coaches that I have worked with throughout my years with the youth, high school, and all star programs (Royals you looked awesome!!) know who I am and what I believe in.
Our new EDGE family is out to cheer, not out to smear smile.gif

Having a hard time believing the EDGE did any malicious recruting.  In fact I feel like they've been pretty quiet about their new program.

They don't seem to have a website or phone number.  Don't pass out fliers and are not currently accepting new members.   None of those things are good for recruitment efforts.

Lots of cheerleaders brag about their team.  They should feel proud.  I saw several kids in several different uniforms telling their friends and other cheerleaders where they should cheer next year.  I would not automatically assume that coaches have put them up to this.  I think the intentions of the kids are innocent.

The most entertaining of the day IMO were definitly All American Coed and One Athletics Open Team. They looked awesome.

and Of course the Special Needs Team! I think its an awesome oppourtunity for those kids!!! Everytime the girl from pyramids throws a Round Off Backhandspring I totally tear up! Is it the same girl from last year???

Good Job to everyone yesterday! I enjoyed watching all the teams yesterday!

I would have to say the only negitive would have to be the floor seating... It was really hard to see the stage from the seating near the back.

POWER small 5, they had a rough day...3 major stunt falls...and a whole bunch of touch downs and popped passes..it was a horrible day  for them...they had two girls out..for health problems...

no offensie to one dont take this the wrong way...but if both teams hit a flawless routtine POWER would win by a wide margin of points...sorry just poionting out the obvious : /

I love Love LOVE Pyramids uni!! I really like Motions; however, would like to see another picture to see if the letters are a little easier to see. I'm not too sure about the AA, hope to see it in person.

I believe that Danny was referring to the comment about one and power sr 5 teams hitting flawless routines that power would win by a wide margin. When you hit they play button on the music it can be anyone's game and yesterday it was one's. Great job everyone. Everyday can't be perfect. And both teams know that. great job to all of the girls for holding their heads high. These two teams know each other very well and have respect for each other. Congratulaions too all!
