Love CF and Fame's uniform. CA Crush is not a clear pic so it is hard to tell. Anyone have a better pic?

FAME - Please see italicized portion of Royals critique. Then add time for a hair cut already. That boy is so talented but it's hard to look past juniper bush on his head. Again....not much interested in unis but Fame's are BEAUTIFUL! I like the hair!!! I really liked them. And the boy, who cares about his hair, he got you to notice him. Parents acted a little too much like the Raider Nation when they won, storming the front of the stage like raider fans do in their rare few wins. Win with class..

Raider Nation.. lol They had a reason to be happy. They went out to prove a point and they did! It was a San Jose thing today. This program vs. program should make for an interesting season. These two programs are going to do just about anything to try and out do one another. I am sure both programs could care less who was or is in there division or how they placed because it will be all about who had a better day.

Fame looks pretty good for a first year program, that is ran by two "moms". Can you really call them a first year team? Divas have been around forever and San Jose Legends was on fire last year. Together well.. We all got a glimpse of what is to come.

Crush.. well they just did not have a good day at all!! But I did see the potential that is there. now.. only if someone can swallow their pride and read a rule book.. well.. then I am sure things would have been different. Calvin and Mike have there work cutout for them. No silver platter to work from this time boys, but hard work and the belief in your program should be all that is needed. Oh.. and the music was much better the second day.

Good Luck to both Crush and FAME this season. Cant wait to see you both at the next competition I am at.

Really no point to prove here. The Fame girls proved that Mike & Calvin did a great job with them last year and it shows this year, glad to see the training has stuck with them. And no I wouldn't call them a first year program.

CA Crush YES is a brand new program with more than 3/4 of the team first year ever kids competing in allstars. Mike & Calvin and the team will get better & stronger with more experiance and grow from their mistakes. I think they've done a great job so far.

My thoughts exactly Proud Cheer mom. The Divas had been around forever and they looked as good as they did every year. However Calvin and Mike did a great job with the San Jose Legends for a first year team. Where they all first year cheerleaders too? If so hats off to the miracle workers that they are and again I can not wait to see how awesome Crush could be with the likes of Calvin and Mike in charge.

Sorry CheerMama....The talent from Divas and Legends had nothing to do with Mike. Divas, the girls in that program return year after year. Legends, this was basically the pop warner team that the owner had and brought them to all stars. Mike came in to coach, an already very talented group of tumblers and stunters....Calvin came in to coach about 5 times. In other words Mike and Calvin had a big MERRY XMAS from Divas and Legends and regardless of who came in to coach them, they would of done fine because the kids are talented. Now, pulling them together makes a lot of talent and from what I saw, great routines, which I am sure we will see all season long.

Also, Crush is NOT a new team. The majority of their girls have cheered for other programs. Mike and Calvin do have their work cut out for them and time will tell. Not only a rule book is needed but they did not have a lot of tumbling and the stunts were not strong. I also think they could of made better choices in uniforms. The concept of hearts and Crush is cute, but the overall uniform needs help. On a postive note, I am sure they are back in the gym, making the changes needed and working on skills....GOOD luck at your next comp!

I agree. The Divas have always been a strong stunting team. They always lacked tumbling wise.

I saw Legends only once last year, but was very impressed.

We know Mike is a great coach, so I'm excited to see what he does with CA Crush this season. Good luck everyone!

Oh, and I am looking forward to seeing cheergym's new uniforms

Thanks! Cheerforce's are really cute, they just look uncomfortable in the neck area. I like Fame's as well. A definite plus for both!

C'monnnnnnnn Just the facts... Mike & Calvin did nothing??? I DISAGREE but that's my opinion. I never said the girls weren't talented I just commented that they improved the team as a whole in all areas based on how they placed last year. Was the comment about XMAS necessary??? No need to go there. Lets keep our opinions positive. And as I said Mike & Calvin and their program Crush will learn from their mistakes and keep on truckin'!

POWER - They're back once again. Routines are much cleaner this November as opposed to last. I was very impressed with how strong their Sr 5 full ups are this early in the season. I loved their dances especially Sr. Int. Yes rocked the house My only knock is that the voice over of their "chant" seemed distorted and on the low quality side. Great job POWER. Power has been to the show before and it's evident that Power has some outside California connections. The routines are clean and keeps your interest, for sure. however, in just my eye it appears something is still missing. I don't know what it is but the routines need something more. But I can't say enough about the talent at all levels.Mini 1 was weak...And the Junior team should be 4.5 not level 5 We all know power can rock it out, but I for sure think that junior five shouldn't be a five team. they should be level four!

ATHLETIC PERFECTION - Funny how everyone seems to forget about this program. They have a way of sneakin up on you. I love their passion on the floor and expect them to really do well this season. Especially their Sr 4. Wow. That one tiny flyer is adoreable! What's here name? Athletic Perfection has always had a presence in my book. It's a solid club and enjoyable to watch. Senior 2 deosnt have the fire power to keep up powers level two wins that battle.

ROYALS - This gym has stepped it up folks. They really know how to place their teams in the right division. If only they had a coach with some attention to detail. Sometimes what appears to be a mess is really under control it's just being controlled 6 different ways. Their Sr dance team is simply unbeatable. If you're in this division....pack it in. Where are Royals from? You mentioned something about the right divisions. This is interesting. I think they may have a division or two in reverse. The Junior 3 has been 3 for the last 3 years. It's that team that should be the level 4. The senior co-ed needs to drop to the level 3 spot. The one guy tumbler that they have is a great tumbler but for the most part all the other strong tumblers are double teaming from the Junior 3. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
OK CHEER MOM YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. THIS IS A BRAND NEW JUNIOR TEAM NEW GIRLS. THE GIRLS FROM LAST YEAR ARE NOW IN HIGH SCHOOL. HELLO HOW CAN YOU BE JUNIORS FOR 3 YEARS WHEN THEY STARTED JUNIORS WHEN THEY WERE 12 DUHHH... WHY DO YOU THINK YOU KNOW SO MUCH. SOME PEOPLE THINK THEY KNOW EVERYTHING... IF YOU DONT KNOW THEN DONT SPEAK ON IT. SORRY TO BE RUDE BUT YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT WE ARE ON THE JUNIOR TEAM AND WE KNOW FIRST HAND. WHY DO PEOPLE COMMENT ON THINGS THEY DONT KNOW A THING ABOUT...??? ONLY Junior 3 should stay cheer, the rest should move to hip hop only! i agree only level three was cheer-ish at all sorry.

CHEERFORCE - Once again it's the Kiara show and let me just say....WOO HOO! Spectators should have to buy an extra ticket and re-enter when Diamonds are on deck. AMEN! Speaking of Diamonds...sweet choreography. By far the best they've ever had. IMO, solid top 3 at Worlds for this team. Jr. 5 crazy good. Rockies very strong and will just get better. Insert Kiara and they place 5 slots higher at Worlds. Can't wait to see them go up against CG AA. I usually don't care much about unis but I miss the Navy Blue :( Gotta agree.   This teams is going to be amazing again this season. The choreography is always cutting else and will be able to compete well against any texas club at worlds. Layouts on Level 5??? That is not WORLDS top 5. even with layouts have you seen kiara tumble?? DAMNNNN

NOR CAL ELITE - Very good showing. I was happy that they came out strong when everyone was expecting them to implode. My favorite was their Sr 4 I believe Electra from Livermore. So impressive. The two Sr 5 teams have a lot of potential. The Roy factor has definitely left the building :( and I'm not sure that wont really hurt in the long run. We'll see though NCE always surprises and is always up for the challenge. Not sure if the inner workings are good in regards to the merger but on the surface IT"S WORKING. Great job kids & coaches! Fun to watch I concure but a few too many tumbling crashes for me.   Other all had a very good showing. We hear so many negative comments about Nor Cal which simply weren't true. Good for them. Spectators and members had no regards for the rules, they stood infront of people in seats, walked in from all sides and not from the back like they were suppose to, doubled up and trippled up many kids. I honelsty thought they were going to be different this year, but same program with different leaders.....their girls were rude. i heard them make snotty remarks to more than one person from other teams.

STARSTRUCK - Ok....the large Sr 4 is for real this year. Love the routine, love the skills, love the confidence. As this team gets stronger and adds more difficulty I believe they'll be as good as anyone in the area. Now if we can just get them to crawl out from under the "Jamz Rock" and come out to play a little more often. JAMZ Rock hehe funny but true. Odyssey should do the same.   Clean! Hopefully, then can add more difficulty to their routines as the months progress. This program will not grow unless they leave the JAMZ world...How are your kids suppose to learn what cheer is about when 4-6 competitions you go to are JAMZ??? yeah they rocked out their easier routine with backhandsprings up the front, but their difficulty level was in NO way harder than one athletics. they look good but one should have won.

FIERCE - Props to the Sr 5 center flyer who has undoubtedly been recruited by every unscrupulous Southern Cal gym. She is straight up wonderful to watch. The team as whole is out to erase the disappointments of the past 2 years. I believe they're on the right path. Maybe another year or two away from reaching the top shelf but heading there for sure. Love the fierce Dads. Still a hot mess. sorry. Still waiting to see what we saw in 04-05. They are going to be a decent competitor by nationals. I wouldn't count them out. Coaches need to set a better image for their kids, what most of the coaches wore on day two was not classy for a cheer comp but only to go clubbin! haha yeah i saw them in the elevators..

ONE ATHLETICS - Hmmmm this may be the future of Sac area cheerleading. Are they gonna give Power a run for their money in any way shape or form this year? Uhhhh nope. But the future could be a different story. Remember when you discovered PF Changs? Not really a need any longer to bother with the inconvenient non english speaking waitresses at the local Fuang Ling Chengs right? On the down side, all of their music was a bit coma inducing. It was tons better than most teams but for the skill level and choreography it was just a bit blah. Cool uniforms.   Who knows if this will be the up and coming gym. Those that jumped ship from power may jump back next season. I think there will definitely be some highs and lows for this club. TOO MUCH HYPE, NO SUBSTANCE um helloe level four rocked and you have to stop thinking about them as a hyped up gym that was supposed to be fantastic. they are a FIRST YEAR GYM! they did amazing for a first year gym and even though level five was lacking four made up for it. They should really just stack level four and wait to have a five for next year. but i like the ambition.

ALL STAR ELITE - could they be the cinderalla gym of the season?   They looked good at this competition. And we all noticed the cheer groupies in the crowd - POWER.   ARE YOU SERIOUS? This is funny...groupies? ha.

Have to disagree with you regarding members from Nor Cal Elite. I had the pleasure of talking to some of the girls, they were sweet and polite; nice parents too. Same with members from other gyms (Fierce, love those dads). I really think it's unfair when someone criticizes an entire gym because of a few members.

Unfortunately that is the harsh reality though. We are all judged on the actions of a few. That is why it is so important for coaches and parents to remind athletes (and parents and coaches!!!) that they are representing their ENTIRE team at all times when they are wearing that uniform or shirt. One person can make a "reputation" for an entire team! It's not just the athletes either, a parent can ruin things too! I know our team took some mud in the face last season because of the actions of a couple of our athletes.
