All I have to say for fierce KARMA!! You can not come on this board, let it be your staff, members, friends or even athletes and bash other teams with the kind of garbage post by supposed fierce members (thank you Danny for removing most of it) and expect to perform well. In the end it's going to bite you.
I have to agree with this!!!!! The judging was obviously off this whole weekend not just with deductions but with difficulty points as well!!! And blank score sheets? Wtf completley unfair and unnacceptable. Whatever teams got these I'm very sorry for! I'm dissapointed with this weekends turnout!
I have to say... AND I SPEAK ON BEHALF OF MYSELF ONLY... I was dissapointed with the decisions on judging all over the board. There was a couple of huge mistakes made here in the judging and calculating at this competition including: blank scoresheets, erased scoresheets, and my biggest problem, careless technicality judging.
I have never seen an AC score sheet but if there were these types of error than perhaps that would explain why a handful of teams were dropping stunts and still placing where they did. I was surprised on a few of the calls as well.
I can say that Fierce members dont come on this board and "bash" other gyms. Most of the girls in our gym are new and dont even know what these message boards are. We come on this board to simply talk about cheer, like everyone else should.
On day 1, the technicality judge didn't catch an illegality performed by a team that competed against us. We of course didn't say anything to the AC staff on Saturday and figured that they would catch it. Well, it wasn't caught and it was performed on day 2 as well. Usually they would have caught it, then gave them a standard deduction for doing something illegal in the level they were competing in, then told them to change it for day 2. Like I said, it was not caught and then performed again. Of course people make mistakes and I understand that. When I went to and AC staffer, they said that they would review it and then get back to me. When he did, he apologized for not catching the mistake and because they didn't catch it on day 1 (and it was technically a judging error), they were not going to give them the penalty on the day 2 scoresheet, but for the day 1 scoresheet. [day 1 = 1/3. day 2 = 2/3.] We all know that if the penalty would have been applied to day 2 like it should have been a large deduction could have and would have changed final placing. I appreciated AC took the time to explain to me the situation, but I definitely see judging in a different light.

Well, with that being said. I do wish your gym the very best with their season. I do enjoy watching your teams perform. I love the fierce dad's, and your uniforms look great on stage. I don't think anyone can say they don't have at least one troublesome person in their gym. It is those people that unfortunatly create bad feelings amongst other gyms. I am over it and moving on. Good luck to all.
Fierce, Being in So Cal I have to say that your gym has always been great and has a nice group of parents. Good luck this season. I am not why so many people on these boards are being soooo mean to Fierce. Take it as compliment. You must have been super fierce last year. I know as we go to many of the same competitions. Although I do have to say GO OC :) LOL Good luck to all the teams this season.
What happened to Cheer ODD (The Raider Nation)? The were winning 6 or 7 divisions after Saturday but only came away with one win! Guess they haven't learned how to hold a lead... YOU KNOW!
I guess registering hasn't gotten rid of the rif-raff after all
Yeah I know!! We just ignore comments like that anyways!!
It takes true ignorance and just plain jealousy to put other teams down!
A fear that you are not as good as the others or an envy of what they have. So this is for Fierce, Cheer Odyssey and any others that are being bashed. They say if they are putting you down it is because they are jealous!
I don't see any Fierce people, or Cheer Odyssey (The Raider Nation, you so called it) putting others down, as a matter of fact, it is certain that they have very courtous athletes and parents who offer encouragement to ALL!
I witnessed several Cheer Odyssey Parents, Nor Cal Parents, Star Struck Parents and Fierce Parents conversing and Congratulating each others teams! Way to GO!!
I can only hope that there would be more unity for all Northern California athletes, parents, coaches and staff...I mean COME ON! We are all here for the "Love of the Sport".... and to encourage, teach and be a role model for our Cheerleader right??
Cheer Odyssey dominated Saturday... Good for them! But to bash them because they didn't stay on top? Just made all the others teams work harder to beat them! Good Job Cheer Odyseey for pushing everyone else to push their game... We are in competitive cheer!!
I say.... show a little intelligence, class and encouragement
ummm i think power did trully win, idk why everyone is saying cheerforce should have...it makes NO sense to me what so ever...i watched both teams and yeah cheerforce was good..but sloppy!!!!!! and POWER was good and clean!!!
POWER looked amazing to me too..they will defilently be in top for worlds :) and uhhh some1 said they had the same dance and pyramid of a nother team at power phahhahhahahahhahahhahahahhahahahahhahhhahhahhahhahhaahhahahhahahahahhahahah have you seen the videos??????????? way different!!!!! powers small senior is going to be the ones to beat!! good luck this season =D and JOHN I think there needs to be a little more creativity on the routine :) :)
but yopu guys still looked AMAZING!!! GO POWER SNALL 5!!!
You can disagree with the judges and not like what they did or how they did it. In the end they were the ones hired by the company to do that job. Not us as parents, coaches or cheerleaders. We know what we would like to see and we know how we interpret the rules and regulations, but after all is said and done that is their position and their decisions.

Wow sounds like power is great team. Do you have video?
POWER was definitely AMAZING. CF was also amazing. Everyone wants to argue who's better than who? Well, they both have completely different styles from one another... power is clean and flawless and has perfect precision. CF is wild, sassy, mesmerizing, and bold.
My husband always tells me to stop being pessimistic and negative, but to rather look for the positive and happiness in every situation. And for that I say that CF and POWER are different, but the one thing that they hold in common with one another is that the athletes on these two teams are both driven, passionate girls that love the sport of all star cheer. And they BOTH will be reppin' Cali at Worlds Cheerleading Championship. And for that I am thankful.

According to that FAQ listing their office emailed pre-event:
Q: What happens if an infraction is not caught on Day One, but is caught on Day Two - given the 1/3 vs. 2/3
ratio?
A: The deductions panel makes every effort to catch all illegalities as they occur. However, on the rare occasion that
an infraction is not caught until Day Two, the infraction will still be enforced. A video review will automatically
be made of the Day One performance. If after review it is determined that the skill was performed legally on
Day One or that the illegal skill was only added for Day Two, it will count as 2/3 of the total deduction score. If
the skill was also performed illegally on Day One and should have been caught then, it will only count as 1/3 of
the total deductions. We will not unfairly penalize a team because we missed something on Day One.
So I guess the logic is if they would have caught it on day 1, the team would have changed it on day 2. I just hope they make sure the judges don't give the team any points for the illegal skills.
