Ok, I attended this comp and I have a few comments...
Senior 4- I SOOOO think One Athletics should have one. I heard they were in first on Saturday but had some deductions for Sunday, no idea why because I missed them on Sunday :( but judging by Saturday's performance, they were on! No mistakes and yes def more tumbling than that of starstruck. But not to take anything away from Starstruck, they were crisp and clean but IMO I think One had the total package.
Sm Sr 5- Ok yes cheerforce had a more difficult routine PLANNED however if you look at how well it was executed, it was too rushed and there were indeed some wobbles. Power may have been a little more reserved but it got the job done. They were clean and hit everything (with the exception of one side of the pyramid on Sunday). Cheerforce had a fall on Saturday too which mixed with their wobbles and rushed stunts, it just didn't measure up to Power. HOWEVER, IMO this is one of the first competitions of the season so cheerforce has plenty of time to polish their routine! Once they do, they will be one of the top teams (their tumbling is amazing)! Fierce is another team that once their routine is polished and clean they will be a great team as well. One A needs some polishing on their elites and def more tumbling to keep up with the other level 5 teams (you ladies still rock though i'm just keeping it real). This comp def belonged to Power, it was their day and they deserved it!
Sr 5 coed- GOOD FOR NOR CAL!!! They did awesome! Again I have to say that cheerforce had more difficulty but the way they produced it was a bit rushed and at times a little sloppy. However once it's polished and executed the way it was choreographed, they too will be a strong competitor. Good job cheerforce, you guys are def a threat to the other teams and I can't wait to see you guys later in the season!
Sm sr 4- Fierce could have easily took this however the routine was so rushed and sloppy (again sorry ladies). If this routine was slowed down a bit and if they worked to get all the wrinkles out, it would be a very difficult but clean routine. This is another team that will be a top team if they clean up their stunts and formations and tumbling. But this comp belonged to AP in this category. Good job!
Other teams- Fame is looking good for a first year team, Nor-cal's coed teams are awesome and have great potential, Las Vegas elements looked good, Starstruck has so much potential but I don't feel the excitment in their routine as I feel when other teams perform. If they get that excitment in their dance or even during their tumbling section they will win over the crowd and they will def be a threat to other teams in their categories!
GOOD JOB TO EVERYONE!!! I ENJOYED THIS COMPETITION!
Very well put. I agree with all of this
I totally agree with all of this too! So well put and def agree that if cheeforce executed everything and were a lot cleaner then it would have been their day over power and other teams that they were up against in different categories. However it was Power's day! This will def be interesting to watch in the months to come. I think before worlds, cheerforce and fierce should come to super six!!! That would be SOOO exciting!
Opps! I meant "WAY TO GO INTERNATIONAL" You girls rocked!!
I totally agree with you that international deserves some props but i think the reason why there isn't a whole lot of hype around them yet is because they went against no one! They had no competition so we couldn't compare them to any other program. I do have to say though that judging from past international teams from other programs, Power needs way more difficulty! That's just my opinion but then again it's really early in the season.
I agree, Power should have won at this event. Personally i thought cheerforce was better, but at AC competitions the cleanest team has always won. So Power was the right choice, They were cleaner.
yes power was the right choice, but the whole"the cleaner team always wins at AC"is a FALSE statement. Just please take a look at the NorCal teams, they won. and were FAR from clean and it was quite obvious.
I think so too. It wouldnt be the first time they messed up today. They messed up the placement for the mini Ap and Power teams too, did u see that AP's mini team had to come back and get awarded 1st place during a diffrent awards ceremony? I hope everyone read their scores and deductions carefully like im sure AP did.
Really, what happens to the team that recieved first on the stage at the earlier awards??
they didnt stay so they just awarded AP the 1st place (a tie) without taking power's first place away. Which i did think was good because you cant exactly take a win away from 5 year olds, that wouldnt have been very nice.

First of all this was a great competition (with the exception of the seating and long breaks), especially for the beginning of the season. The caliber of teams that attended was incredible. This is going to be a very competitive year.
Power was great as usual, great tumbling and their dances are always exciting.
CheerForce your transitions and stunts were incredible, definitely got everyone's attention.
NorCal looks like you worked out the kinks that went with the merger. Your teams defintely responded to your energetic crowd they all looked like they were having a blast on stage.
Gymstars your Michael Jackson move was fun to watch and the beginning of your music got everyone's attention.
One Athletics it's hard to believe your a first year gym, good job
Fame your teams also did a great job, now if I can just get that fame song out of my head (it's addicting)
Cheer Xperience way to get first place with only a five member team!
Congratulations to all the teams.
yess, the seating was HORRID.
i actually saw parents ripping the "reserved seating" signs off of the chairs so that they wouldn't have to move. RUDE!
let the parents watch their own teams. but it was really a mess how the seating was, never again will i go through that, ill just bring my own chairs haha.
and please someone tell me why they set up 7 or 8 rows of seating to the left of the stage??!! no one wants to see only the left side of a teams routine.
I would like to take the time to congrats Power on a great showing Once again their teams looked polished and in control. I know there a lot of people talking about how they lost all of these great kids and bla, bla, bla. Well, they just keep knocking it out of the park. That program jsut proves why it is good, consistently doing the right things. Great job and how are your teams so clean this early in the year ?
Very well said! POWER is a rock solid gym, run VERY well. John and the staff should be very proud!

You're drinking that HATERADE again. Lame.
If you honestly think they were clean that you must be drinkin something, or maybe you haven't seen the youtubes.

I agree...just when the "word on the street" is that Power is dead and done, John comes out swinging!!! Good job Power! Does anyone know who won the junior 5 division between Power and CF?

Thanks, yes that would have been hard to explain to the girls. Congrats AP.

GREAT JOB POWER!
I thought Power was great also. Love a clean routine. The whole package is their already you brought it when it counts. I think it is silly when people say when they clean it up or when they learn their stunt they will be great. Thats like me saying when I drop 20 lbs. I will be smokin.
