Dangggggggg!!!!!!! That was insane. What team is this??? My mouth dropped during their cross passes! That was unbelievable. That was by far the best highshool cheer team performance ive ever watched.
BUT... I pretty much guarentee you all of those athletes are allstar cheerleaders too. Just sayin... lol.

And they are worried about safety issues with allstar gyms. lol!
Amazing, but I am pretty sure most of that is illegal if you go by "high school" rules. They have pretty extensive rules on what can and can't be done on a hard surface. But I guess that really doesn't matter if you are not competing.
That is Brooke High School from West Virginia. Alot of those girls are on Basics All Stars as well. I don't think anyone has ever said a high school can't be talented, because thats where many all star teams pull their kids from. Hence, the name all star, meaning you pull various athletes from across a specific area to form a team. It would be the same in any other sport/activity. They are very talented.
Very fun tumbling. You have to know that they are all all-stars. If they want to test there skills mabey they should go to a competiton and be compared to others. Can we please give the "hard floor" comment a rest! This is one all-star filled team thats it!

No, allstar cheer doesn't pull their kids from the high schools. They train with little or no talent, but every once in awhile an athlete will walk in tired of gymnastics and jump on a team. That's a dream come true. At least that is how it is in California. We train our kids, and when they don't make their high school (overrated team), we have a team for them. The next year, they make the choice high school or allstar. But, after our teams, they always make their high school teams.
yea a lot of highschools pull girls from allstar. i was on a highschool team in california last year and almost every girl had done at least one year of allstar before highschool cheer. this is a crazzy good highschool team. most of them aren't like this.

You are right about that, very good highschool team. And most of them arent'' like that team in California schools. Some of the private schools are good, but not like this. Wow!
That is definitely not a competition sanctioned by any large competition company, most of the stuff they did is illegal, as of 2006, on the basketball court without mats. Personally, I don't care how good you are I think it is a major safety concern to be performing those skills without the mats. But, they were amazing! You don't see high school teams like that in Cali, I have never in all my years of cheering...wow!
Being familiar with all star cheerleading and knowing how injuries are common, I could only imagine what these girls went through to get this far. They are very talented and amazing to watch. My biggest worry is that they are pulling these skills on a hard wood floor. There is no give campared to a carpeted spring floor. This is an amazing routine but VERY VERY SCARY! We all know accidents happen and you can't say this team was perfect EVERY single time. As for all star against high school. I hope everyone who says this realizes that we need to work together. First, people think cheer isn't a sport. We need to come together as (all different types of cheerleaders such youth, high school, and all star) and prove this wrong. Lets not debate on this topic. We all love cheerleading and should remember we have this in common. Last, the comment made about that most of these girls are probably all star cheerleaders....well maybe they are and maybe their not. Does is really matter that much? You have to keep in mind that to be on a all star team, you first off have to have the money to do so. With in this payment, you are paying (hopefully) trained and experienced coaches in which are training you in a facility that can help you gain all types of skills (level 1-level 5). Okay lets switch to high school. First off, most high schools dont consider cheer a sport and really don't care about the program as much as football or basketball. Second, the coaches get paid by season(if they're lucky, they make about 1200 a season). Third, the coaches usually don't need to be experienced at a high level. Last, some high schools have such a lack of interest within their school that they have to take everyone. Basically combinding all levels and trying to conform them to one level. Not all high schools are like this but this is the "norm". How can you ever compare high school and all stars when they're is such a big difference? Lets play nice! Remember.......we all love cheer!
Brooke High School has been good for years. There was an article about them in American Cheerleader magazine and it says more than half of them are on BASICS. BASICS has always had amazing tumbling. Did you not seem them at Worlds for the past 2 years. Again, they are a very fun team to watch.
The reason why other states can get so many high school cheerleaders to do all star is because they are REGULATED as a state sport. In West Virginia and Georgia they compete at state run events and their season is over in the early winter, and most do all stars year around.
i dunno how much you guys are paying for highschool but my parents were paying about 4,000 a year. and we don't go to florida or any far away competitions. and we go to one cheer camp.

Well I agree, those girls have to be on an allstar team. That routine was awsome, very much an allstar routine, if you didn't notice they didn't do a cheer. Just saying all high school cheer squads do a traditional cheer.... But never the less they are good and I wish them well.
I just love watching High School Teams that do well. My Daughter is on an All Star Team & High School Team. In fact most of the girls have either been on an all stars team or are doing both! We have tumbling just like that. :) Good luck girls knock umm dead!~
In the state of WV cheerling is a sport. The girls are only allowed 3 competitions a year. They do regionals, states and OVAC. If you check out youtube, you will see they have to do a technical cheer, wait until the judge signals and then they do the rest, that is what is posted here. The girls on all very talented and dedicated. We are fortunate that there is a all star gym close by, but while all the girls are required to take tumbling class, only seven are on all stars. There is a total of 19 girls on the squad, but due to WV regulations, only 13 are allowed to compete at regional and states. OVAC's allows all to compete, but because Ohio schools also compete they are not allowed to build (stunt). Check out the article in American Cheerleader magazine. Hope there clears up a lot of questions.
