Camarillo is actually doing really well. Right where they should be, and very excited to compete this weekend. There is nothing sad about it! Lets keep it positive or atleast "opinions" not negative rumors.
i hear camarillo is doing awsome i know someone on the sm sm coed team and she says there looking very good i also heard the jr coed team is going to be awsome! i cant wait to see them this weekend
I kind of like the idea of not having to worry about other teams and who yor competeing against your first competition. There is no stress and you get the first competition jitters out. The only thing i dont like about this is that it sucks for the people on more than one team I know i have 3 friends that triple team and this is going to be a hectic day for them. 2 have to compete at 11:30, 12:30, then again at 12:50. The other one has to compete at 12:30, 1:30, and 1:50! That just crazy
I like that fact of competing more then once. Lets say your gym goes to 7 competitions that are all two day events, that gives you 35 minutes of actual performance time. Most teams will practice over 200 hours through out the year (thats 12,000 minutes) during the season to compete for 35 minutes. So I agree with being able to double your time on the mat for all the hours that you put in. An average Family spends around $1,000 for a weekend trip out of town to watch there child compete for a total of 5 minutes. We throw our routine about 6 or 7 times full out within our two hour practice. I think athletes will be fine throwing it twice in one day..
i wouldnt mind competing more than once in a day but back to back to back would be crazy. If your first team competes at 11:30, then the next at 12:30 right when you get off the floor you have to head back to wamups. Then your next year at 12:50 You get off the floor and go right back on the floor like 3 teams later! Thats insane.
I was disappointed that no other teams are going to be at Jamz this weekend, but it will be good to get our 1st competition under our belt. I'm very excited for the season to begin!
FYI- the Camarillo gym is doing just fine! Good luck to everyone this season! We'll see you on the floor. Cheers!
