I think you should leave the HALLOWEEN thread to halloween talk and start your own political thread. This topic has been hi-jacked and is now very misleading. It's getting old. Could someone pleas fix this???!!!!! bleh

Sure, but it's too bad freedom has nothing to do with the decision to go to war, which most agree was indeed a mistake. I'm glad after Tuesday those young men will have a chance to come home safely. I don't like talking politics on this board, but when desperate people post videos such as that one, someone has to speak up.

I completely disagree. Like a regular conversation it winds and turns and if you no longer like it, there's many others to go see what's being said in another thread. I think so far everyone has been toeing the line.

so toe the line in a thread with a title that lets you know what the true topic of discussion will be. You're right, if people like me don't want to read about policitics then we won't. But I opened a topic called Halloween - not a thread called political discussion, opinions on war, politics, presedential election. etc. I have respect for the things that all want to say and hats off to the young man in the video for giving us his side of this situation. But please show respect for those of us who are TRYING to be selective about what we want to read and create a thread that gives a heads up. I'm all for freedom of speech... nevertheless, please close this topic or change the title..

And whatever you do please DO NOT allow another to open after elections if it means that people will continue to insult or be insulted on a doggone CHEER MESSAGE BOARD!

I see your point on the title of the thread, in a conversation there is no misleading title so you think you are walking in on one thing but it's already turned into something else.

I didn't allow this one to open and I can't stop another from opening. Sorry. But I don't wouldn't mind if cheergyms allowed another topic to start after the elections, as long as people don't get too out of control.

Your point may be a valid one. However, you now do know what the topic has changed to and yet you still participate.

Participate? I don't think so. Respect the fact that there are people who do want to talk about this? Of course! Just not here. That is what I am saying. Any other mention of the topic was an attempt to show respect for people are having a ratioanle discussion. My intent is not show disrespect or to indicate in any way that people should not be allowed to voice their opinions. But it should be done somewhere else...Or, I could agree with the above poster and go for a thread that is accurately labeled for continued discussion now and after elections, if so desired. (Duly noted.) I just disagree with it continuing here.

Thank you for keeping this open. I had no idea this was even out there. Freedom has been fought and won by heros like this young man. Freedom for the right to even comment on a board like this.
