RE: New Programs

so what gym do you claim to attend, so If I were to do the math
that is 5 nights a week at 4 hours a night (you claim 20 hours a week)...since most normal gyms don't practice on the weekend i really doubt that is the case so until you step up and prove where your at keep talking...I know several of the top teams in cali and they dont practice 4 hours a day...

Cheer 2 days per week @ 3 hours per 6 hours
Power tumbling and Trampoline 4 days per week M W F Sat @ 3 hours per 12 hours
Sorry 18 hours per week !

Again stop trying to compare. I know cheering at games is very mentally and physically challenging! And I know that my Double whip whip double pales in comparison to your fulls on the HARD mat. Or how your wonderful Arabesque full downs dwarf my full up to bow press scorpion scale double.

Like I said a Ferrari (all-stars) to a pinto (HS)

I can see that you don't have any common sense. I have made my arguments and obviously you don't like the facts presented. One has serious athletes that train serious skills, the other a sideline show.

Once again to recap. Fine as a social endeavor but do not ever put HS and "hard to beat" in the same sentence PLEASE!

id say the population of most division I II and even III schools is about 95% all star athletes!
But that is just my guess not a scientific poll or anything

Valley cheer

Whoa. ive done both allstar and highschool and they are both very different. allstar has more a little bit more flashy stunts and dances but highschool is still difficult as long as your school has a competitive team that is actually good. yelling a cheer while tumbling, stunting and dancing is actually tiring. the cheer is like ten eight counts long.

let cheerleaders "yell" and jump no one wants to stop them.  They just need to stop trying to compare.  Lets just call them the "4.2's"  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

All star and h.s. have one major thing in common, and that is they both LOVE cheerleading. Yes, it's different but people need to stop compairing....If you truly love the sport you love ALL aspects. Plus some of the comments above add to the "sterotypical" cheerleader...CATTINESS!! Maybe compair the good things....both love to dance, jump, stunt, perform etc.

HS cheer was the starters for sure, but they need to take thier place in HISTORY!

Speaking of which, I haven't seen anyone in this division yet in the first few northern ca comps, or did I miss something?

While we are on this topic... All-star gym/ team members need to stop referring to themselves as cheerleaders!  Unless you actually cheer for a sports team you are NOT A CHEERLEADER!  You are a performer or a dancer but not a cheerleader.  Who do you route for?  Yourself?

You are wrong, it's called sideline cheer, versus extreme sports cheer.
