I would like to see scores posted after every competition. In every sport you can think of, there is a score associated with it, not a ranking. Yes, the coaches know the scores, but we should all be able to see them too. We should be able to see how close 2nd place was to first, for example. Most comps post scores, Jamz is the exception.
I agree! I do not understand why Jamz does not post them, it educates the parents and puts the responsibility on the coaches to hit the score sheets properly.
Yes, and one more point ...... if there are teams who end up going against nobody and win by default, posting a score will at least showcase how they did. It gives teams that have no competition something to shoot for.
As a coach I have to tell you that most competition companies do not even give us the other teams scores - most of the time they just give us our own score which doesnt help in determining how close/far we were from the other teams.

Most competitions you can request the scores. I am pretty sure JAMZ will send them to coaches if they request them.

I am not sure what competitions you guys go to but I will say that all of the competitions we go to give us all of the scores from the other teams, we normally get them on day one so we can prepare for day two. I think the only competition company that does not give them out at the comp is USA but you can call for them. Of course neither does Jamz, hence why some gyms do not attend those competitions.

I think its pretty funny cuz in my awards packet i received a complete scoring breakdown from every team in my division. Not just over all but what every judge scored every team in every element. So i dont see how your saying your gyms are uninformed.
just to rectify this misunderstanding, Jamz made it very clear to the coaches how each team within their particular division placed. Inside each coaches score sheet packet they received not only their own team'(s)' scores, but every score attributed to their competitors on a grid sheet.
I found this grid sheet to be very useful because it illustrated to me in black and white what particular areas my team was deficient in; thus helping me to restructure a stronger routine for the next competition. Moreover, the individual score sheets from each judge mapped out what skills had been thrown and what could have been incorporated to attain a better score. This in particular made the final standings easier to understand/accept and helped to make coaches feel more informed and included in the judging process.
For the reasons stated above, the grid sheet was much more useful than just a raw score.

yea i wish more companies would give us that tool. I was able to see that i only lost because of my dance/motions. so we just did a complete revamp of that section and now i have a way stronger routine.
Maybe this season this crap togther jamz that is. I know last season they didn't judges gave scores out for sections teams didn't have. It was early In the season team were competing without dances and pramids yet judges gave them a score for them. Jamz ended up losing some teams. So I am assuming they took a hard look at their jugding system.
