I love the see that child who completes a new tumble pass for the first time successfully in a competition and can't restrain themselves from jumping around like crazy momentarily forgetting all about the routine
I love to see the team that knows they hit the routine of their life.
I love to see the underdogs that no one gives the time of day rise up and be noticed.
I love to see genuine respect and appreciation from other programs in the venue whether for a good routine or a bad one.

You got that one right! Woowee....that's the absolute best!!!!
I love love LOVE when the music begin and the opening is draw dropping and the musicmix is makes you wanna HOLLA!!!!
I can't wait to see who will perform in a way that let's you know that every last one of the kids on the floor Believes in the routine. No counting - just straight performing!
Shoot, I got chills just thinking about it. hahahahaha
Reading this makes me so sad. I love all those things too but I am sooooooo missing being out there myself! I am very excited however for my kids to expereince this especially the newbees! It's an amazing feeling.

I love to see my daughter's face when she gets off the floor and is smiling and laughing so hard she can't contain herself because she knows she nailed her routine, and that hear team did their best. (but not such a great experience when they don't)

In March last year we had a girl who had struggled with her full for pretty much a year. The warm up was horrible and she didn't get much time to even try it. So as coaches we all told her to throw a layout. No problem, but you could see the tears in her eyes because she wanted to do it. She gets in the routine and when she gets to the corner I see her twitch her shoulder like she is going to try her full. Thought is was a tic. Then she ran and she is a child that runs differently for a layout and a full. She threw it (perfectly) landed with no problems whatsoever and proceeded to jump and holler down the side of the mat. Church folks would call it the happy dance. We were like... get to your spot for baskets. The crowd erupted because they know how long she had struggled with that. Best thing is it was on our owners birthday. Found out later that she had promised the owner she would throw her full by herself for the owners birthday months ago and had been upset because she hadn't thrown it by herself in practice for months.
Please if you are a cheerleader reading this, do not go against your coaches instructions!!!
At our first comp this year we had a guy throw his double for the first time ever in comp. (Made 1 and 3/4) Guy is an excellent performer and dancer, but his tumbling has always been a little weak. All the other guys rib him about being the only guy without a double or a standing full...in good fun..nothing mean. Many of his fellow gym members had never seen him throw it either, as he came in early and worked on it when they were not there. He came in early to one of our tumble clinics that we give our kids for free and said I want to get my double. This was maybe 2 weeks ago. Same reaction as he about jumped off the stage when he landed!!! It was also the first time his mother had sen him throw it at all.
Personally I was excited to see my 5 year old stick her Round Off in her first competition and my 16 year old land all of her tumbling that i almost jumped off thew sound stage...lol. Now I am excited for the new upgrades to the routines as we get ready for our Novemeber comp and my daughters first time competing as a Level 4!!! It will also be the first time that their grandmother will have ever seen them compete.
