I thought there would have been more bids awarded out as well. I didn't realize that there would be only one for the entire day. I don't mean a paid bid but the partial or event just a foot in the door.
It's going to be interesting how all this plays out with the All-level world effort. Hopefully, everyone will have a clearer picture before they sign up for the rest of the competitions this season.
Why in the world would someone videotape themselves when they can pay money, order one, and receive it six weeks from now?? Okay, I'm being sarcastic. I videotape our routines and almost always there are very reputable gyms with their tri-pods set up taping all the gyms and teams, including ours. I'm usually flattered they're taping our routines too. I don't see it as a threat or a sign that they're worried or that they're going to steal our routines. People make too many assumptions!
Congrats to the winners yesterday and congrats to the first paid bid. Is it based on who received the highest score of the competition? A paid bid pays for the registration fees, does it cover anything else? Good job y'all!
I think it is based on high score. I wrote down some of the scores and I think Cal Spirit got 92.1.
Anyone placing 1st 2nd or 3rd in their division qualifies for the All-Level Compeitition. Just like the old school way of qualifying for nationals
They qualified, but don't receive any discounts. Meaning they have to pay the full 85 dollars to register. CSE was the only team to receive the first place discounted rate.
Well that certainly got us pumped up for our next competition.
Cheer Odyessy - you all did a great job. Your teams did great acrossed the board.
All-Star Elite - Nice job ladies. You all must feel relieved to have that first competition out of the way. Fun routines to watch.
Callifornia Spirit Elite - what a pleasant surprise. You all did great and the routines look great this year.
Swat - we like the new look in your uniforms this season.
Over all we were quite impressed with the preformance last night. we think you all have gym or two nevrous about their seasons. A friend pointed out a gym coach up in the stands video taping minis to seniors in cheer and then dance teams as well.
Good luck to everyone this season!
Well that's gOod for them its none of ur business ? So mind your own and most of those teams looked a mess so your point is let coaches be coaches !
OKAY, NOT COOL! ***Fist of all, let me start off by saying I'm not from any of these gyms, nor do I have any idea of what they look like this early in the season***
BUT!!!! We are ONLY in October! Most gyms are no where near ready to start competing! I give the teams competing this early in the season lots of credit going out there and competing their FIRST time this season full of jitters, nerves, and butterflies! It's not easy. So what if they wern't perfect, at least now they can go back to practice and know what needs tio be worked on, improved and what their weakness' are as well as their strengths are. Kudos to you all who went out there are gave it your all. Good luck to you and your gyms this year!!

Ok well why would a coach go and video every team. Sorry but most people have better things to do on a Sunday then drive to a competition, tape every team and not worry about other teams. Lets all be honest and call it what it is. They want to know how other teams look compared to theirs. Funny cause that material will be in their routines. the only gyms that weren't there that are "big" are one athletics, power, and cheergyms. I did see that UCF was giving out flyers on cars to sign up for their program. I got one on my windshield. talk abou tacky.

Actually from what I understood, CSE was the only team to receive a full paid bid. Not discounted, completely paid because they had the highest score in the entire competition.

I was under the impression that teams placing 1st in their division would receive a discounted price for the All-Level Competition....in fact I think I recall that 2nd place received a small discount too.....only one team per competition however would receive a fully paid bid

Yeah they were promoting their half year team. This is just one more way to advertise. It's a business. I've heard their phone is ringing off the hook. Way to go UCF!!!!!

Yeah well they have always had shady practices. Remember on their website when they were asking teams to bring in other gyms contracts for a discount or how about when they tried to pass themselves off as being part of Power. They love to videotape their competition as well.

it is a PERFECT example of how a message board is never BELIEVABLE! it's comments like this one that takes direct stabs at a cheerleading business. can't y'all just talk at a generic level instead of naming names or trying to bad mouth individuals? Come on clean it up! it will evenually get out about the gym you bellong to and then it will only make your gym look bad in the end.

If a paid bid means paid registration fees, how is it a $4,500 value? I don't know how many members CSE's Junior Level 2 team has, but say there are 20 ... $85 x 20 = $1700. Just wondering where they get the $4,500 figure? Is there more money involved with a paid bid then simply waived registration fees?
