When insulting someone's intelligence, be sure to justify your own.  Next time, try "you're".

Hands down the best response on this message board ever!!!! hahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahaha!

Um, not really.  If they possess it, it could be used either way.  Check it out!
Not to get involved in all this mess.  Something to think about.  biggrin

what about parents who think a cheergym is a daycare?  Seriously, how do you even have balls to drop off all of your kids at a gym everyday and except them to be watched by the owners or coaches while you are at home! Shame on you.

Parent's have tried that at our gym, but the staff tells them nicely that the kids can't be there for hours just because they have a sister on the team.

THere is one family at our gym who is not on a team, just doing tumbling.  They come with corn on the cob (who knows?) and eat is and let the juice and debris fall over the floor.  They let the little boy run wild while his sister is in practice...knocking into people, flinging toys at people and worst was when he climbed on the table the kids use for homework and was JUMPING up and down so hard the table was flexing.  The dad and mom were just standing their laughing until the booster club president put a stop to it as that table had been donated SO the kids would have a place for homework.  Both parents are there...very involved with their kids, but not one bit of control or moderation on the kids' behavior.  THe kids are okay kids, but they are never told stop or no...ever.

That said, we have many precious little ones that brighten our day as those poor babies have to while away the hours at a cheer gym while their sisters practice.

Believe me when I say there are many reasons people don't like her. Being upfront and honest isn't even on the list.

Regarding someone bringing their baby to practice, they may not have a choice. But if they do, I agree that the baby is probably a distraction and it would be best to leave her/him with someone else for a few hours.

Sara is amazing ,who else she flies in choppers shootin the big bad wolves with her amazing red rider gun. Who needs sex ed especially in Alaska they need people up there.

It's funny how you can crack jokes about people in Alaska, but if people were to say how "crazy and liberal Californians are" then you would cry prejudice and rudeness. "Open minded" people are the most close minded.

You are so on it! Californians are so liberal, so prejudice and so rude. And help, I'm living in the midst of it. yuck!

So why then are you there? Are your feet glued to the ground? If I was you I would load up the mini van and get the heck out.

I think it's funny how ultra conservative people think liberals are rude.  I find the complete opposite to be true.  Liberals don't preach, they don't get on their religious high horses and speak of facts that are really just beliefs.  They stay out of other people's businesses.  I'm glad the majority of people here in California are liberals, otherwise it would be me packing up the minivan and heading out.  I love CA.

Ok, I know this should be addressed and I know some people are going to get upset, but I find it highly unacceptable that members on a senior team, bring their babies to practice. This is not a good example and any parent that thinks this is ok belongs in that gym. They already have a problem with their coaches and members and now they bring babies while cheering. My daughters would never be allowed to cheer at a program that promotes this.

I just had to get that off my chest.

Are you serious?? First of all babies shouldn't be at a cheergym, they should be at home or with a sitter. Seriously be more responsible. BTW, Sara Palin is amazing.

Not to get all political about this, but if the "amazing" Sara wasn't against sex education in schools, maybe she wouldn't have even been brought up in this discussion. Right? Right.

Well I am getting political because how has sex education helped up to this point. Not much, the problem has actually gotten worse. The best way to see if a program is effective is to evaluate it. It's because of people like you who say "it's going to happen anyways, so the best way to help our youth is to educate them on the issues." It is a load of crap. People don't like Sara Palin because she is upfront and honest.

On the baby point, a cheer gym is not a place for a teenage mother. Seriously, I wouldn't even entertain the idea no matter how much the person asked. Yes we all know those issues exist, but don't bring them front and center to other girls.

No, people don't like Sarah Palin because she is highly UN-Qualified to be VP of the U.S.!!!!!

I know a CRAZY lady that once LEFT her small child at the gym because she was so caught up in some drama that was going on at the moment!!! How do you FORGET your child, and drive off without them?  Same mom that brings a TON of unhealthy fast food CRAP to the gym, then doesn't clean up after herself, OR her kids! Your gym isn't your HOME, Lady, so have some MANNERS,if you can!   eewwwww-DISGUSTING!!!!!!

Talk about generalizations.......there are people on both sides of the fence that make judgements about those who don't see eye to eye with them.....there are also people on both sides of the fence that keep their thoughts and beliefs to themselves.....I have met intolerant conservatives, but I have also met intolerant liberals. Thats why my mom always taught me never to religion or politics....you are not going to change anyone's opinions!

First of all, you are "preaching" right now, but just the opposite. Sorry its not bad to believe in something, having faith, and saying what you believe. We have strayed away from just basic values, that have nothing do with religion and look what you have now. Ultra materialistic people who don't care about anything but themselves and their needs. The flip to that is you get rude and selfish people who care about labels and not people. You may oppose standards and expectations, but in the end people flock to it. Why do you think people who lead their lives that way are usually more successful.

Actually, I was raised in a Republican household.......

Pick a topic I feel like I am watching the View on speed. Palin might be qualified for the job but somewhere in getting there she should have stopped and looked at her family. She needs to go help her child having a child right now. That little girls gona need it. Whats more important your job or your family. As far as kids having thier children in the gym as long as they are supervised its fine. My child grew up in the gym. Born while I was on a team then minis now youth .13 years and guess what NO OTHER CHERLEADERS CAUGHT BEEING PREGNATE FROM ME. Crazy I know. Our whole family is cheer for the immediate to the extended. Please dont kick that girl out for being pregnate she needs friends and family now more that ever.

Actually, Todd Palin quit his job to be a stay at home Dad when she became governor. There's nothing wrong with that. As far as their daughter, it seems like they have a healthy loving family and they should be fine. If Sarah Palin were a man, nobody would even think of saying she needed to quit her job and "deal with her kids." Her daughter made her choice, and her life and her baby are her responsibility, not her mom's. If my teenage daughter got pregnant, I wouldn't quit my job to take care of her and her baby.

The lady is not applying for a bank teller job this is VP
she will be traveling all over the world. Family first women man sister brother i dont care. Your children and thier children come first. How many days has she spent with her children sense she was picked. Babysitters, nannys and boarding schools is not the same as a loving family. If Palin was a man your right it would nt matter he would still be criticized for not paying attention to his children. But its worst becuase she is a women.

Like I said, if she was a man, none of this would matter. I think you can assume that just about every other male VP or President had families, yet travel and time away from home didn't matter. Her husband is home with their kids - they are not with nannies, babysitters, or at boarding school. They are being cared for by a loving parent. You're argument is biased against women.

BTW - I am and have always been a single working parent who has been able to handle far greater responsibilities than a bank teller (no offense to bank tellers out there - just making my case). My children are fabulous, well adjusted, great kids who know their mom loves them more than anything. Your attitude is offensive and oppressive towards women. Why tell our girls they can grow up to be anything they want to be and then criticize them for doing it? We would never make a man choose between a family and a political career.

Her child getting pregnate is a family crisis. Go home and take care of them not Go out and pick up a job with the biggest if i am not wrong most important job in the world. Especially in our country current state. Honestly being a working mom if your child got sick or pregnate and really needed your help your Honestly telling me you would take a traveling job with a crap load more responsibility. trusting the rest to just one person your husband really?

I am absolutely stunned by these criticisms because ultimately they are criticisms of all working mothers!!!!!! Should McCain and Palin get elected their families would move to Washington, D.C. and Palin would serve her country like every male politician with or without families have done for the last 237 years! Why is it so horrific when the politician is a woman??? Yes, she has issues going on with her family at home right now....but what family doesn't? These statements are even more troublesome because there is a parent at home full-time in the Palin home, and apparently that still is not good enough....and if I were a man I would be offended by the statement that a mom is more important than a dad in these situations!!  I really thought our country was starting to progress as far as gender and minority issues go.....clearly I was wrong!

I would love to see Sarah Palin in the White House - as VP or even President. The state of Alaska is faring far better than most other states in the country right now. The fed hasn't been doing so hot with men in charge. I think the country needs a women in charge - and a working mom at that. That's somebody who knows how to multi-task! Get over the fact that her daughter got pregnant before she got married. It happens. They dealt with it - crisis over. It's not like she was sleeping all over Wasila - the daddy is her long-time boyfriend, who was by her side at the debates and they plan to marry - she's not likely to be a single parent. Sarah's kids were all well-behaved and looked happy. Her daughter was beaming - seemed happy about her choice. Bravo for her.

This whole topic was started saying its wrong for a single teenager to parade thier child in front of the other girls in the gym out of fear that it would spread like a virus. Coaches and gym owners are wrong for allowing that example in thier gym. Now everyone changed sides becuase it palins kid and its ok to bring that in the white house and every family in the world. Please pick a side. Just becuase your against teenager getting pregnate doesnt mean women cant be president. Those are two diffrent topics. Also I dont think Palin should quit only becuase she is a women. I think the whole family should be togther and support thier family right now, Not the world she can try again in 4 years.
