Day Care at Practice

Ok, I know this should be addressed and I know some people are going to get upset, but I find it highly unacceptable that members on a senior team, bring their babies to practice.  This is not a good example and any parent that thinks this is ok belongs in that gym.  They already have a problem with their coaches and members and now they bring babies while cheering.  My daughters would never be allowed to cheer at a program that promotes this.

I just had to get that off my chest.

I think Sarah Palin is awesome!  Wow, judge not lest ye be judged.  Babies at gyms maybe not, but I support life not murder.  Wow, when did you all become so pure?  And Barack's daughter heaven's no, because he doesn't want a baby destroying his daugher's life.  Listen to yourself.  Shame on you!  Don't make it political.  Your stupid!

Too funny, I love it.  Anyway,  I think the point is who are we to judge someone else's circumstance.  I pity the person who would pull their child out of a gym because of this.  That's a life lesson I would never want to pass on to my children.

When insulting someone's intelligence, be sure to justify your own.  Next time, try "you're".

Babies do not need to be at the cheer gym in general unsupervised... If the cheerleader is at practice who is caring for and tendinging to the babies needs.  Music is probably loud and honestly you cant take babies to school or work so you shouldnt take them to cheer practice.  Would any other sport allow an athlete to have their chidlren at practice? I highly think not...
as far as judging tyhe young girls who had babies as teens, to each their own. Not everyone has the same beliefs. I pray and hope that my daughter will make a better choice for her life, and I pray and Thank God it is not my child!! Its unforyumate that so many young girls feel the need to have babies at such a young age, but my mom had me when she was only in 9th grade. She finished school, graduated college with her masters and works at a very prominent ivy league college.  so dont knock others down for their choices.  You never know their situation

No matter if you agree or disagree with the birth of child to a young mother, we should not turn away the idea that she or he is trying to take care of the baby.  Of course I wonder if the gym is the proper place for an infant.  I feel that if you have an issue you should contact the cheerleader, not the boards.

Are you serious?? First of all babies shouldn't be at a cheergym, they should be at home or with a sitter. Seriously be more responsible. BTW, Sara Palin is amazing.

While I don't promote teen mothers or infants in the gym practice area, we don't know the whole story.  Does the mother not have anyone to watch the child during practice?  Or no money to pay a sitter?  How about some of the moms in the viewing area volunteering to watch the child during practice?

At least the young mother is involved in a healthy activity.  We don't need to punish her or the child at this point, whether we agree with her choices or not.  And the rest of us can use this as an example to our daughters, it really isn't so cute or easy to have a baby at such a young age, especially with all the major responsibilities of raising a child.

Not to get all political about this, but if the "amazing" Sara wasn't against sex education in schools, maybe she wouldn't have even been brought up in this discussion.  Right?   Right.

Well I am getting political because how has sex education helped up to this point. Not much, the problem has actually gotten worse. The best way to see if a program is effective is to evaluate it. It's because of people like you who say "it's going to happen anyways, so the best way to help our youth is to educate them on the issues." It is a load of crap. People don't like Sara Palin because she is upfront and honest.

On the baby point, a cheer gym is not a place for a teenage mother. Seriously, I wouldn't even entertain the idea no matter how much the person asked. Yes we all know those issues exist, but don't bring them front and center to other girls.

Believe me when I say there are many reasons people don't like her.  Being upfront and honest isn't even on the list.

Regarding someone bringing their baby to practice, they may not have a choice.  But if they do, I agree that the baby is probably a distraction and it would be best to leave her/him with someone else for a few hours.
