I'm looking forward to seeing all the NCE teams at this competition; merges can sometimes start off rocky, but if the talent and passion is there, they should do just fine. What a great competition this will be, so many talented gyms!

I think mergers are bad. This isnt the only merger in cali that isnt having an happy ending. I guess its just the only one discussed on the boards. Goodluck to everyone this season. Hope everything worls out great.

Other mergers have been discussed, but isn't it way too early to talk about happy endings? The season hasn't even begun. Give them time, geeeez

I believe that some mergers can happen in a positive manner. When we opened our gym we left our current gym to follow our coach, she did a great job of bringing kids from the old gym and other gyms together. At no time did she say , this is how we did it there, she always said, this is how we do it here! Of course we needed to get used to others and coaches needed to learn about how to us kids from other teams but it was all handled in a great way. I wish everyone goodluck with these mergers. It can work!

I guess i was speaking from my experience. It was the end for me because after our merger i just couldnt take the new way our gym was being ran and i ended up quiting same for several other people. Even now some of my friends that still cheer at this gym complain to me about the new rules and new way of coaching and about how much they hate it but they just want to stck it out for the rest of the season and not go back next year. So i guess for us it was over befor it started or we were over it befor it started.

are there any large teams, and if so are they separating them or combining them together? I really hope they don't separate, it'll make for such a better competitive environment, especially since its so early in the season and we all have the cheer bug in us lol.

i believe all the senior 4 teams are small but one athletics and all the junior 4 teams are small. Thats all i know
