I would throw Athletic Championships in there too, it looks like a very good turnout this year. I'm for less out of town trips too, it would save us so much money. I know our teams would be just as satisfied doing well against many of the gyms in our area. Think about it, aren't they the teams you really want to try to win against? We don't really need to travel five to eight hours to go against teams we've never heard of. Just the opinion of a parent trying to save money however possible.
Not really! I love seeing teams NOT in our area. No offense but after 5-6 comps with the SAME gyms, you get tired of each other, at least I do.
I agree with both of you (travel/stay home). But I think this is a good year to stay close to home. I think the economy is going to be in for a bumpy ride and if gyms keeps expenses down, more kids can stay in cheer.
